Ola is made of silicone which is one of the safest materials, rating a 10 on the material safety scale. It is anti-bacterial, hypo-allergenic and is able to be sterilized which is why it is used in many medical products. Silicone is flameproof and has no aroma.

This is a silicone sleeve that has recessed, heat melded seams. This process allows the vibrator to be completely waterproof and suitable for tub and shower play. The vibrator is rigid and non-flexible but has a soft, cushiony feel.

The texture of the vibrator is slightly grabby due to the mini-dimples in the material. There is a bit of drag when rubbed against your skin, so a dab of lube is recommended to prevent friction irritation. The soft but supple feeling of the silicone mixed with the rigid interior makes this a sensual feeling vibrator that is definitely for anyone, beginning to advanced users.

Minna Ola is a nicely sized vibrator. Measuring 8" long and having a 6" insertable shaft, it is a great length for teasing, G-spot targeting and clitoral satisfaction by beginner to advanced users alike. The diameter varies, from 3.4" at the tip to a full 1 1/2" at the bulbous are inside the slight curve to a small 1/2" at the neck. You can insert this up to the neck but I recommend against it, I only insert to the charger port for my own comfort. The port does not feel good against my sensitive areas.

The curved hand held control is not to be inserted. This design is very ergonomic and does not stress the finger joints as much as other designs. The vibrations felt in this area is minimal so numbness is not as big of a factor for those with extensive play times. I do find that pushing in on the touchpad for an extended time can irritate my joints and fingers but will use the loop feature to prevent any irritation or fatigue to my hands.

The shaft has a nicely rounded end that is semi-flexible for about an inch. It gradually builds to a slight curve and bulbous area, which is where the vibrations are the strongest, and then slims back down by the neck area. I found this design to be very versatile and usable for teasing and targeting.

Innovative, fun and completely in your control! The Minna Ola has no preset vibrations --none, zero, zilch!! How does this work? What makes it vibrate? How can the user determine the strength and make their own patterns? Very simple, just press in on the bottom side of the handle. This is touch sensitive air pillow that sets the strength of the vibration to the strength of your squeeze. If you want to get some patterns, let up and re-squeeze the pad. The number of patterns, variations and strengths are limitless!!

If you want to save some patterns or if you are getting tired of squeezing the pad for a steady vibration, there is a loop mode which will continuously re-loop your pattern until you turn it off. This can be a bit tricky to master, but if you press the loop button and then do the squeeze of the steady or patterned vibrations and strengths for three or four light bursts, the loop memorizes and will redo your pattern. Press the loop button to set it and the squeeze pad becomes part of the handle. Ola will not respond to squeezes in the set loop mode. To release the loop, just press either button.

The button closest to the tip is the loop button and the one by the neck is the on/off switch. The light will blink when you turn it on. Fully charged is 3 blinks, partially charged has 2 blinks and 1 blink means you need to recharge your Ola. To charge, just connect the magnets of the charger to the port on the neck. Place the charger under the Ola for a convenient base. Charge 3 hours for 4 to 4 1/2 hours of fun.

If the touch pad goes flat, you can push the tip that goes inside the magnetic charger head into the hole and it will air up again. Pretty convenient, huh?

Being completely waterproof makes the Ola very easy to clean. Place it in warm, soapy water and wash with a cloth. I also use a soft bristled toothbrush to gently remove the residues from the recessed seam. Rinse thoroughly and let the Ola air dry to prevent lint from gathering on the silicone. This does not grab much lint, but there is always a few bits that are attracted to the silicone.

Use only water based lubes with the Ola. Oil and silicone lubes will deteriorate the silicone and make the Ola unsafe for further use. What a shame that would be!!

Store the Ola in its original packaging, a toy pouch or other safe container. Being silicone, it is not to be stored with other toys and materials. Silicone can have a chemical reaction with some of the components and may deteriorate.

Warmer temperatures and sunlight also damage the finish on silicone. Warmer temperatures will soften the silicone and may cause it to lose its shape. This may also start the breaking down of the material. Sunlight will fade the color and make the silicone lose its suppleness, becoming brittle. (I did these tests with an old vibrator I did not like and sure enough--damage happened!!)
