Gigi sex toy review
A beautiful g-spot vibe able to deliver on a variety of levels. Great for first timers as well as those wanting to raise the standard of vibes they own.Published: July 3, 2008
Pros:
A luxury toy for someone looking for good variety of intensity and pulse options.
Cons:
Can be a little challenging to hold and not change settings.
One cannot escape the beauty of the Gigi. This was the first vibe I purchased for my wife. I figured, if I was going to take our love life down the road of toys - why not start with the best. The best I assumed was based on the price. The vibe comes nicely packaged as mentioned in previous reviews. It is interesting the time and expense spent on packaging, when in all reality you probably don't need the housekeeper, relatives, or friends asking , "Hey, what's in that nice box?" But it does make you feel as though you have purchased a quality product.
The charging aspect makes one feel they have just purchased a state of the art product - something maybe Apple might have designed. The controls are also IPodesque. The top of the vibe is rigid yet very supple to the touch. The vibe is pleasant to feel and insert. My wife - being that this was her first vibe was happy that it didn't look like an oversized Johnson of some porn actor. She wanted to feel as though she was having sex and making love with me and not some other guy. Plus with a name like Gigi - she might as well have thought that it was another woman who knew just what a woman likes.
We started out with clitoral stimulation. The Gigi did a great job getting her wet enough for insertion - even without lube. Because my wife is on the tighter side, the size of the vibe made insertion possible with no discomfort. Gigi has a wide variety of settings both pulse and intensity. However, knowing the settings can take a little getting used to. Once inserted, my goal was to provide oral stimulation while Gigi went to work on her g-spot. As my wife got more and more excited and more and more wet - I noticed a bit of a problem. The vibe became difficult to hold onto because the lower section is plastic. In addition, the area in which one is likely to grab happens to be right where they placed the controls. Needless to say (as many have experienced with numerous toys), right when things were getting good, the pulse and intensity changed. This is just a bit distracting for the recipient. The other problem, which I have to assume is common in g-spot vibrators is that the vibe has a natural tendency to want to rotate either sideways or upside down - this too can be surprising for the unprepared recipient.
I was finally able to regain control, and my wife realized that if she didn't writhe around as much things went much smoother. Ultimately she was able to have an amazing orgasm and was ultimately sold on adding toys to our love making repertoire. In addition, I think she still enjoys this vibe over others we have added to the mix. All in all, if you have the money - it is definitely worth adding to your toy chest.

How easy is the Gigi- G Spot Vibrators to use during sex?
-
I think it's more of a solo toy. You should look at the We vibes.

Quote: How easy is the Gigi- G Spot Vibrators to use during sex?I think it works pretty well for this purpose. I use it simultaneously with a dildo all the time. Is it the best for this purpose? I would say you'd be better off using a smaller vibrator such as the Lelo Siri which is another personal favorite of mine during piv sex. Although it is pretty easy to use the Gigi. Works in all positions where your body isn't completely pressed against a surface or your partner's body. You'll need to give a little space in between you and your partner to fit the toy but it still works really well.

Lelo Gigi - Using a Condom or Not
-
I have recently bought the Gigi vibrator from LELO.
For my first use, I used a condom to cover the Gigi (the brand I used is Lifestyles Studded). After removing the condom, I noticed that the lubricant, from the inside the condom, left a kind of oily residue on the Gigi. I tried to use my toy cleaner to remove it, but I am slightly worried
I am worried that the lubricant from this condom is not water-based. Now, I have a few questions that I was unable to research answers to.
1) Was the condom I used water-based?
2) Have I ruined my new Gigi?
3) Is it best to use a condom on the Gigi or not?
Any advice/help will be much appreciated.

From what I can find via Google, it looks like the lubricant in that condom isn't a silicone lubricant so it should be okay.
Lubricant Ingredients: Glycerine, Propylene Glycol, Polysorbate 20, Phenonip, Carbomer
I don't think you're ruined anything. If you're concerned you might want to try to find a different type of condom that leaves less residue. I have no suggestions because almost all condoms irritate me and since I'm fluid bonded with my partner we don't use them. -

Will using soap and water be bad for the Gigi? At least just for the silicone part of the vibrator?

Is the product worth the price ????
-
I'm pretty sure we answered a similar set of questions about the pros and cons of expensive vibrators.
-
Quote: Is the product worth the price ????Absolutely!! I bought mine a couple years ago after (literally) melting my previous one. Between the cost of having to replace my vibrators and the batteries constantly, I went for it and have no regrets!! Gigi is a regular part of our sex life! However, I use it only for cliteral stimulation (which works for me) so I can't speak if you are interested in G-spot usage.
The one drawback is I've found that I tend to hit the speed controls during use. Otherwise, the warranty is great (though i've never had one problem with it), it's easy to keep clean and store, and I LOVE that it's rechargable.
Enjoy!

Any comments?

I'd like to try a g-spot vib, but i dont know if this should be the one to buy...Any comments?

Quote: I'd like to try a g-spot vib, but i dont know if this should be the one to buy...Any comments?I highly recommend the Gigi for G-spot play. It's firm enough to stimulate it with the amount of pressure needed, but velvety enough to not be too much. Additionally the vibration settings I found to be ideal for pressing against my G-spot. Just have a towel ready!

I will point out though that if you have a g-spot that is on the further side in terms of depth in the vagina, or if like me your vaginal canal has a sharp curve to it then you should look for a toy that is longer than the Gigi. I love the Gigi as a clitoral vibrator but based on my anatomy it didn't do much for me as a g-spot stimulator. Take your anatomy into consideration before you buy a toy for g-spot play. If you are like me and think you'll need a more lengthy toy try the G-Spot Pink glass stimulator. I'm currently working on a review for that toy and it is a personal favorite of mine.

Charging Gigi in the UK
-
FiredrakeNemmySo uh, my gf lives across the pond in England and I wanted to get a little something to bring her next I go visit.
She really likes the use of the Gigi vibrator but I'm worried about the charging of the toy, I learned to be wary of such things when I blew out the power to my Wii :X
But anyways, if anyone who has one could kindly take a look at the allowed voltages I would really appreciate it. The voltage info can usually be found on the charger itself ( a bunch of random numbers and such and has that UL logo ) Does it list the Input as 100V-240V or just something around 100V?
Thanks! -

The charger I have with mine has the 100V-240V range.
You might also look at getting a charger specifically for using the Gigi in England.

To Buy or Not to Buy....

My 22nd birthday is coming up which means birthday monies <3 I'm trying to see if I can orgasm with my gspot but haven't had any luck. I've been close but no beans yet. I'm debating getting this to see if it'll work for me, plus I'm trying to go off birth control, it's made my sex drive completely dissappear after 2 years of being on it, not to mention making me depressed, moody, etc.
Anyway, would this be recommended? Where's the vibration, though? More in the shaft towards the buttons or more at the tip? And is it plenty strong? (I need strong vibrations.)
I'll have to order at a time my dad won't be home, though, and make sure it arrives when he's at work--how embarassing it'd be for me for him to find out I have toys! -

I know I love it! It's my favorite vibrator.

is the gigi a good starter g-spot vibe?
-
My friend Lee's birthday is coming up and ever since I told her about female ejaculation and what it is and that I can do it, she's been trying to find everything about it and is really interested in a g-spot vibrator, but she doesn't really like the way most vibrators feel with vibrations. To her, they feel like an "Oh, there's something vibrating in my ladyparts but it's doing nothing for me." So, my question is, is the Gigi different in that sense that the vibrations have some "variety" to them and they're not so monotonous? I'd love to get her the Gigi for her birthday and have heard nothing but great things about it.

It doesn't vibrate, but you may want to check it out. -

If it has to vibrate and you want to be able to use it for clitoral stimulation, Gigi is great. But if you're on a lower budget and only want g-spot stimulation, the Ella is one of this forum's favorite dildos.

Best G-spot vibrator. Which one to pick?
-
Rachell25LELO has presented a couple of very well designed G-spot vibrators, like Gigi, Liv and Elise, lately. Just looking at them makes me feel horny. They all have great features and different vibration modes and they are also rechargeable, so I can safe my money on batteries.
Gigi seems to be the toy of my dreams due to its well pronounced curved tip. I guess that will lead to a better contact with my G-spot.
Any ideas, suggestions, tips? Anything will do.
PS: Will Gigi make me squirt??? -
RainbowWow... that looks really splendid, in fact, all of them do.
It looks like it's going to be my G-spot's best friend for ages.
That must be a bargain but it is kind of expensive for me at the moment but as soon as I can afford one I will surely have one in my toy box. -
SirenMy dear, not every woman is able to "squirt", it depends on every woman's physiology but it is definitely going to send you to Seven's Heaven of Pleasure.
I own one, the Liv, and it's just terrible, in the good meaning of the word.
I can assure you, you made a perfect choice if you're looking for G-spot stimulation.

Thank you for viewing Gigi – g-spot vibrator review page!

Congrats on converting her!
I've looked at this vibe many times, but am always put off by what I hear about the controls. Still, I hear it's one of the better g-spot vibes on the market, so I may have to give it a shot one day. Glad your wife loves it, and glad you spoiled her with a quality product!
I have pretty large hands, this may be hard to hold onto.
LELO toys are absolutely phenomenal! Great pick for a first vibrator purchase.
I've heard lots of great things about this toy, but I already have a luxury vibe, and it's a little hard committing to the price tag of a second one. Still though, this sounds like an excellent g-spot vibe and I'll probably be getting one in a few months.
How sweet that you bought such a nice vibe for your wife :) If only my husband would do the same for me! Great she's getting into sex toys; they do help keep the spice alive in my marriage.
Nice review!
As much as I love Gigi, the ease with which the controls can be accidentally changed keeps me from using it any more than I do. And he's right that the plastic handle can get a little too slippery to hold on to well. Designers should redesign g-spot toy handles.
Thanks for the review. Good reviews always help in making a decision.
How has the Gigi performed over the past year? Has it held up well? Still a favorite?
I love hearing a male's review on a product like this. What a nice husband you are!
Great review. Thanks!
