Good but not Great
The Layaspot is a cute toy from FunFactory that would be a great toy for a beginner. The hype that surrounds it just isn't merited I've found though. The vibrations are medium at best.Published: May 20, 2010
Pros:
Color choice, body safe, easy to operate.
Cons:
Vibrations not strong.
The Layaspot is a small clitoral vibrator that fits like a dream. I was shocked when in use, how perfect it fit with my body. Beyond that though, I was disappointed by all the hype that this vibrator has gotten. It just didn’t deliver.
It is really easy to use, two buttons (a plus and a minus) that are easy to use in use without being too easy that it changes on you without you wanting it to change. You press the plus sign to increase the vibrations, and the minus sign to decrease the vibrations and turn it off. The ease of which you can use this, makes it a fabulous beginner toy. Not to mention it is body safe, which is always a great way to start a collection.
The vibrations on this, are just… meh. They are medium at best. I have some bullets that are stronger than this. Not that this isn’t a solid addition to my toybox, it is, but it just isn’t worth the hype that surrounds it. I’ve read review after review exalting this, but it just isn’t that great. It took a while to get me there.
It is splash proof, so don’t submerge it. When you wash it before and after use, you can use soap and water as long as you are careful about getting water into the battery compartment.
It is compact, it is cute, it comes in a variety of colors. There are a lot of pluses to this toy, but the one minus I just can’t overlook is the vibrations. They are diffuse and not pinpoint. It can get aggravating. I wanted to love this toy. I wanted it to live up to the hype. It just didn’t do it for me. If you like medium level vibrations, this can do it for you. Everything else about it is great.
When you think something is going to be 100%, and when you use it is only 75%, the expectation makes it feel like it is 50%. So let me express, just because I was really disappointed in the vibrations, doesn’t mean this isn’t a great toy. It fits like a glove, it really is awesome. I just was expecting a huge amazement. It was good, just not great. It works like a charm, if you like medium vibrations that aren’t pinpoint.

waiting and wanting!

RadRachSo my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy? -
reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.

it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

LayaSpot Questions
-
So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.
Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?
Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).
Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?
Just looking for different experiences with these things.. -

I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.

Thank you for viewing LAYAspot – sex toy review page!

Thanks 4 the honest review. I've been debating on this one 4 a while now and your review just confirmed my suspicions on the strength of the Layaspot.
I assume you also didn't like the pulsation settings but you could at least talk about them.
Thanks for explaining why you deemed this somewhat useful. Actually, until reading other people's reviews just now, I didn't realize/remember there was a pulsation setting. Maybe mine was defective or something because all levels are straight vibrations. Hmmm. Oh well.
Thanks for the review - it's always so disappointing when the vibrations are just not strong enough.
thanks for the review!
