Good idea but needs some tweaking

I have read many other reviews about this toy and there seems to be a common consensus that it is lacking in power. I would not recommend this toy to lesbians or straight couples for that matter. There are plenty of other toys out there that cost less and have more power to them.

Use

This toy is probably best for straight couples who aren't into a lot of vroom! Though it can be used alone, there is no I in "We." I would guess some might like to wear it under their panties. The intended areas to be stimulated are the clit and the g-spot. The toy is small enough to travel with.

Material / Texture

The materials used on this toy are nice. The outer rubbery material is slick, has no taste and is scent free. I have sensitive skin and it has given me no problems thus far. The U shape is very flexible and makes for easy insertion and a few options on how to place the vibrator.

Design / Shape / Size

The concept for this toy is lovely: being penetrated and stimulated hands free at the same time. However it just doesn't work for me. The vibrations are lacking and the outer vibrator is bulky. This toy might work better for beginners and straight couples, but the lack of power has me skeptical. We definitely expected more! The toy is easy to hide in its little pouch and would be good for travel (but there are better options for that).

Functions / Performance / Controls

Again this toy is lacking in power! It has multiple settings, some of which are better/stronger than others but still not as much as we would have liked. The inner portion is so small it really needs something penetrating to feel it (I know this is the point); the outer portion doesn't exactly hit the spot and can slide around during play.

It was a bit difficult at first to figure out how to plug the charger into the toy. I still don't like this part of the toy. You have to pierce the rubbery plastic in a very precise area to find the charger hole. This leaves the rubber looking as though it has been torn. I think a better design could have been found.

The controls are hard to find. Switching on and off is especially difficult after sex when it is slippery from fluids.

The toy is very quiet and while I would like to say it is waterproof, I am not sure due to the hole being pierced for the charger. (I haven't tried it in water yet)

Care and Maintenance

This toy is very easy to take care of. For cleaning up, a simple washing with soap and water is all that is needed. The rubbery coating keeps well. Simply plug in to charge the battery and then pop it in its storage bag.
This toy required water based lube to prevent degradation of the rubbery coating.

The toy came with a little storage pouch and wall charger. It works well for keeping it discreet.

Personal comments

I should reiterate that this toy is probably more suited to straight couples. I don't know why we thought it would be a good idea for us lesbians. Maybe if it clipped on tighter it would work for us.

Experience

I totally get that this toy is meant more for straight couples, but this is how we have used it: My partner is much more dominant than I am, so she will place the small end in me and then either move it around with her hand for a bit or scissor me. For her this technique works quite well regardless of having a toy there or not, but she has mentioned that the toy does work for her! For me on the other hand, it just feels like I have a rock grinding into my crotch. The part that goes inside does nothing for me. I have also found that while doing this, the We-vibe tends to move around a lot and will end up outside of my target zone. Out of desperation, my girlfriend has shoved the entire thing (both ends) into my vagina and then performed other tasks on me...this somewhat works, but the vibrations on this toy are just so lack luster.

Follow-up commentary
When I bought this toy I had high expectations and they were quickly let down with our initial month of use.
Now, almost a year later, the toy has been left in a drawer and maybe used 4 or 5 times since the initial purchase.

I decided to give it another whirl this weekend and the thing is useless, save your money and time even the cheapest bullet will be of more use.

I have read so many reviews that have the same problems you did. Everybody was so excited when this vibrator came out ("OOOO, you can wear it during intercourse!") and then so many are let down.

I hope your next selection works better and is more pleasurable.

Kelaaa33wish the We-Vibe has quite a few speeds actually Im going to guess at about 12 off hand? most of them are just buzzing patterns with a low buzz and then the next one is a harder buzz but none of them are very strong compared to say the Screaming O bullets.
To change the pattern you have to keep pressing the button which is hidden under the rubbery coating on the large side of the We...this can be difficult if you get any lube on the vibrator or if you have already inserted it.

      If you have an adult store near you I would suggest going. We decided on this toy because the store employee allowed us to see one out of the box and hold it and see what it does. by going to the store I got a better view of other things here that I was interested in.
    • I agree - head to your local toy store. That's how I decided to buy mine. Feel it, get a first-hand idea of the size, flexibility, etc. Then, if you like it, come back to Eden and buy it. If your local toy store is anything like the ones around here, they don't give half the number of discounts as Eden Fantasys. :)

    • A simple yes or no works for me. Please feel free to get in depth on why or why not it didn't work well. I'm thinking of this as a gift for my husband on his belated birthday.

      Also, has this caused discomfort to anyone's penis?
    • It works better for me as a solo toy. My husband is on the smaller side of average and he was able to fit inside of me with this comfortably, but I prefer smaller girthed things so this plus him was a little too much for me. I haven't revisited it in a while though.

      Yes, and it wasn't completely comfortable on my pubic bone. We had to change positions several times before we found a spot that worked for us both.

      Is it bad to say I'm glad I'm not the only one? I think it's because the penis has a tendency to slide beside it rather than under it which makes it move around more. Still experimenting with it.

      it is not too big as it looks on pictures
    • It is really quite easy to insert. The motors are smaller than a penis, and it is really thin where the two motors connect.
