Good replacement when my fave died!

I purchased this toy when my first toy, a basic hard plastic vibe, died - what a sad day! I do not regret my choice one bit, as I hemmed and hawed over whether I should go with another plastic vibe or try out a jelly toy. I am very glad I gave this a go!

Use

This is a good anywhere vibrator. It's excellent vaginally, and the material is soft enough to provide a pleasant anal experience if you're still new to backdoor action. I also like using it externally for clitoral stimulation. It's great for underwater fun - this has joined me in the shower many times and I have not had a problem.

Material / Texture

The jelly material is soft and feels amazing when lubed up. The "veins" on the shaft add extra sensation, and I love pumping it fast or slow to get the feel of the ridges. I have not noticed any smell from this toy, as I've heard jelly toys tend to have. The material is a little sticky, so be sure to keep it stored somewhere it won't pick up particles.

Design / Shape / Size

This was my first jelly toy. Previously, I had just had hard plastic toys. I prefer this toy over the plastic ones for penetration, as it provides additional stimulation. The "balls" give a little clitoral stimulation, but I prefer having a separate vibe for clitoral. The vibration is strong enough to be effective for external stimulation, as well. The size is good for beginners, it's not too big or intimidating.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrations are strong throughout the entire length of the toy, and the dial at the base is easy to use even if your hands are slippery with lube. I love the stimulation provided by the raised texturing, it provides a more "real" feel, and works great even if you don't have any live batteries at the time. The noise is minimal - my husband can hear it from the doorway of the bedroom, but not outside the closed door. The vibrations are strong, but not overpowering. I have never had a problem using it in water, I find it performs great and it joins me in the shower frequently.

Care and Maintenance

It's best to clean this toy before and after use, as it's a bit sticky and picks up hairs, threads, and all kinds of fibers. I keep mine in a bag with antimicrobial lining, along with my other toys. DO NOT use with silicone lube - I have spot-tested a couple spots on this toy, and the lube melted the material.

Follow-up commentary I don't like it anymore 11 months after original review

As I learn more about material safety, I'm not keen on using this very often and have decided that it's now anal-only due to the porous quality of the material. However, it is quite handy to have around for the simple fact that the material reacts to lubes and cleaners more than anything else I have. I use it whenever I get a new lube or cleaner to spot-test for reactions. If the material reacts, the new product is delegated for use on hard toys only, to avoid damaging other soft materials. I particularly like the "balls" for testing purposes, so that the shaft is not damaged for the occasions that I do use it.
