Grace is a Wild Ride

The Grace is a great vibrator for couples, and not too shabby for solo players. With a high number of different vibration types available in this one toy, there is something to please just about every individual.

Despite the lack of decent instructions for charging, the vibrator itself shines as a quality silicone product, easily capable of outstripping lesser toys with it's intensity, and sensitivity.

Packaging
Grace comes in a soft cardboard box, with a soft band around it to keep the lid in place. A picture of the vibrator is on the top of the lid, so it's easy to know what is inside. The vibrator itself sits on a smaller piece of cardboard inside, with a little rubber band strap around it to keep it firmly in place.

Also included are the USB cable for recharging, and a simple piece of cardboard, imprinted with things about the toy in a variety of languages.

The problem? There are two images on the cardboard for attaching the battery, both in German, I believe. One image shows the first step as connecting the USB cable, then attaching it to the toy, the second has it attached to the toy first, then plugged into the PC.

The English instructions are poor at best. Wash with soap and water only, how the toy is waterproof, how you turn it on or off, etc. This simply says to use the "+" and "-" buttons on the handle. There is nothing else of value, and to be honest, for someone new to this type of toy, it can be a bit disconcerting.

The "+" sign is used to turn it on, and increase the level of vibration, (there are 8 speeds on the Vibration pattern, which could also be known as the "constant" setting). Once you reach level 8, you can press the "+" repeatedly to cycle through the various patterns.

As the names imply, the vibration patterns vary greatly. Rollercoaster goes to practically off, before slowly building in intensity. The other three are equally nice, with either a steady thrum of power, which is Pulsating I think, to an alternating pattern, which may be Surging or Escalating.

Needless to say, each pattern has it's own benefits. And exploring them is half the fun.

The "-" sign takes it from Pattern Mode, back to Vibration mode, and lowers the vibration levels accordingly. To turn the toy off, just hold the "-" button for a moment.

The main thing that irritates me here is charging the toy. I get how it's supposed to be attached to the USB, but there is nothing to tell you about when it is finished. After using it once, I plugged it into the PC to see what would happen. It gave a throb every couple of seconds. Given the lack of instruction, I'm unsure whether that means that the charging is complete, or if it is charging.

The Toy
The toy itself is rather odd in shape. It's small at either end, and in the middle, with thick spots in between. The material is very soft to the touch, and the control end is easy to grasp while using it on yourself. A little lube is all that is needed on the end you insert, though it can be a bit awkward if you like to change the vibration while using the item.

Again on the cleaning, the instructions recommend to only use soap and water on the item, it might be better to avoid any other type of toy cleanser you may have, until you can make sure it won't have any adverse effects on the silicone. (Or worse, on the little control/charge buttons)
Experience
My Usage
This was my first vibrator with multiple speeds or patterns. To be honest, I didn't know what to expect when I signed up to review it. But I have to say, after getting it, it was a pleasant surprise, and has definitely taken the forefront in my toy collection.

The thickness of the toy was a mild problem, it caused a little mild discomfort. However, once that part was inside me, the skinny end made the toy feel somewhat like a large plug. The thick part can easily keep it inside your anus, and after it vibrates a bit, the discomfort goes away, and you can have fun thrusting away.

Impressions
While I'm reviewing the item in a solo capacity, from a male perspective, I have to say that I can see a lot of uses for couples with this item. The vibration adds to things, of course, but I think it would be very pleasurable in the vagina if one were to thrust in time to the vibrations. Rollercoaster especially for slow, deep thrusts has the intensity level that start low and build high as the toy bottoms inside your partner.

Experimentation is key, and with 12 different types of vibration, you can definitely have a full weekend with this toy.
Follow-up commentary
My previous review was for a Prototype Grace. I recently had the opportunity to try out the "official" version. While a lot of features are the same, there are some new differences.

The box it comes in is still elegant, however a few problems have cropped up. The Grace is slimmer now and more tapered. While this allows for an easier insertion, it also means those who like their toys thick might be a little disappointed.

The buttons to turn it on/off and charge the toy are shinier and smoother to the touch, but also they have a much lower profile than the buttons on the prototype. Where the PG (prototype grace) had buttons that you could actually feel go down when you pushed them, you can't exactly feel it in the OG (official grace).

This makes it harder to switch between vibration levels, especially when you are using the item solo and it's inside you. The instructions -still- say nothing about how it handles charging. I was left with attaching the cable to the OG, and then plugging it in. This elicits a single vibration from the OG. But is that to mean it has no need for a charge, or that it is charging?

That sort of documentation should have been a mandatory inclusion with an item like this. But sadly it was not.

I couldn't tell any difference in the types of vibration offered between the two. It still gets a 5 for me in the Vroom category, and a 2 for Bees. Given the lack of charging instructions, low buttons, and slimmer profile, I'd have to drop this to a 4/5 personally.
