The Little Snooper is functional right out of the box. Its "sonic" motor is strangely reminiscent of my toothbrush. Unfortunately, I also found brushing my teeth to be far more fulfilling an experience than playing with the Little Snooper.

The motor is easy to operate and the softness of the silicone really is a treat. When pressing the Little Snooper against my clitoris, though, I didn't feel anything more than a faint hum. That sensation disappeared entirely when inserting the toy into my vagina. Its size made it an easy fit, but perhaps it was too easy a fit. I genuinely could not tell that the motor had been turned on.

The Little Snooper's strengths and weaknesses really shone when it came time to explore how well it functioned as an anal toy. Whereas I couldn't really feel the Little Snooper's vibrations on my clitoris or once inserted in my vagina, I couldn't miss them anally. They felt nice--not too strong to be overwhelming, but not so weak as to go unnoticed. The Little Snooper's head is easily inserted with a dab of (non silicone-based) lubricant and the size works well for those new to anal play.

One word of warning... Under no circumstances should you release your hold on the tail during anal play with the Little Snooper!

Once I had inserted the widest part of the head past my sphincter muscles, the entire vibrator immediately got sucked in and up. The Little Snooper not only looks like a sperm cell, it can propel itself forward like one. Luckily, I was holding on to the Snooper's tail and silicone is remarkably strong, making hard pulling possible.

Anyone who has marveled at the greatness of silicone toys knows the basic rules of care--you can boil it, toss it in the dishwasher, etc. The one thing that is verboten is the use of silicone lubricants.

The Little Snooper comes with a small metal hook designed to pull out the battery case for cleaning. The hook works well and the battery case truly is water resistant. I submerged the case under water multiple times (for about 30 seconds each time) and it still worked perfectly. Despite the quality of the materials, I'm somewhat irritated by being asked to keep track of a piece of metal.

It also bears mentioning that the Little Snooper uses two watch/hearing aid batteries. The manufacturer provides you with your first set. After that, you're on your own.

The Little Snooper delivers what its name promises--it's both small (hence "Little") and very quiet (hence "Snooper"). Beyond that, it's up to your individual preferences as to whether or not this vibrator would meet your needs.
