Heart racer - clitoral vibrator by Cal Exotics - review by OhMy!

Heart racer is a straightforward inexpensive and travel-friendly clitoral stimulator. It is not designed for external use only, and is definitely not recommended for g-spot, anal, or any other type of internal use. Depending on what floats your boat, you could also use this on the other external goodies such as breasts, nipples, penis, or testicles to heat things up.

The Heart Racer is quite sleek, and very narrow, but still packs a decent punch. While it is travel/purse friendly, it's not the quietest vibrator on the planet. For those of you in roommate/dorm situations, you may either want to find something a little more discreet, or wait until the roommates are out for a while.

Since this is a less expensive vibrator, there's not a lot of luxury in the texture department - no ribs, nubs, ridges, or silkiness to this little devil. The shell is hard plastic, so it is very firm and does not conform to your body. The only small touch is the heart-shaped bump at the end of the tip to give you a little something to feel. In other words, you'll have to rely on pure power and speed for this vibe to get you off!

Luckily the vibe has little to no smell, and it was odor-free when we took it out of the box. Since we didn't have to worry about eliminating any unusual odors, we were ready to go after a few washes with some soap and water!

While the Heart Racer is no feat of engineering, it does have its benefits. The shaft is long and sleek - about the length and diameter of a Sharpie marker - which makes it easy to hold and use. The long shaft also makes placement more relaxed so you can put your arms and hands in a more relaxed position, and don't have to reach as much. If you use this simultaneously during intercourse, this helps keep your hands out of the hot zone!

The head is where the action happens. It's rounded, narrow, slightly curved, and as mentioned earlier, has a heart-shaped bump to use for added stimulation. The motor is located inside it, and the vibrations are concentrated here. The narrow profile of the head allows for direct stimulation of the clitoris while allowing unobstructed access to your vagina. Whether you're being dual-stimulated with a dildo, vibrator, or penetration from your partner, you won't have to worry about Heart Racer ruining the moment!

There's only one way to control this vibrator - a flip of the wrist. The cap, which also holds the tension on the batteries, is also the vibration intensity dial. Since there were no instructions for use included with the vibrator, we had to make sure we turned the dial the right direction to avoid breaking it!

The dial twists easily with a flick of the wrist. We inserted the batteries, and revved the vibrator from a stop to its maximum intensity in a blink of an eye! After seeing how intense the vibrations were, we couldn't wait to give it a test drive!

Unfortunately, our experiences with the Heart Racer were cut short. After the second use, the dial broke - giving us a whopping three-speed vibe ("off", an easily missed "medium", and "OH MY GOD!") instead of a variable-speed vibe that allows you to adjust as necessary. Most of the time, it had a mind of it's own and stayed at the "OH MY GOD" speed.

(Her take) I'm a girl who likes a nice build-up -- there is no build-up with the Heart Racer! It starts fast and keeps on going. Granted, there's nothing wrong with this, but I do like a little foreplay. The lack of speed control makes it a little less than desirable for me. I'll stick with my Lelo Liv.

The manufacturer claims that Heart Racer is made of food-grade material, and is hypo-allergenic, latex free, and phthalates free. Regardless, its rigid construction makes it simple to clean. Wash it down with some hot water and soap, or you favorite toy cleaner. Make sure to check for residue near the heart-shaped bump on the head, as it has a tendency to collect unwanted gunk.

The packaging was nothing to write home about. It came in a clear plastic box labeled "Heart Racer" and only had instructions for battery installation. There were no instructions on use, so that was up to us to figure things out.
