High Luster, High Performance

Sliquid Satin is a good choice if you are looking for a product that can be used to quench vaginal dryness and also be used as a lube. It feels natural and blends well with my own lubrication, but for certain silicone toys that need a lot of help to create an effortless glide, this lube doesn't quite do the job.

Use

Sliquid's Satin is a "natural intimate moisturizer" that can also be used as a lubricant. It was designed for women who are experiencing vaginal dryness to apply anytime to alleviate their symptoms. Thus, it works great vaginally. While it could be used anally, I think there are better lubes out there suited to that purpose, as Satin is on the runny side.

Texture / Consistency / Thickness / Viscosity

Satin is water-based and vegan. Ingredients: Purified Water, Plant Cellulose (from Cotton), Carrageenan, Aloe Barbadensis (Aloe Vera), Natural Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Cyamopsis (Guar Conditioners), Potassium Sorbate, Citric Acid. You'll notice that there are no parabens or glycerin, which is a good thing for those of us who are sensitive.

Satin is definitely more of a thin lube, but it's not watery. It's not sticky or stringy either, so it feels rather natural and unobtrusive in use. It's not too long-lasting though; I find it needs to be reapplied every 15 minutes or so or until my natural lubrication kicks in. After you're done actively using it, it dries out and/or absorbs into the skin, making cleanup more optional than necessary.

Taste / Aroma

Satin has a very slight taste and smell to it. I can't quite put my finger on it... I want to say soap, but of course everyone uses different kinds of soaps or will infer that it smells like detergent. But that's not the case; it really is very light and doesn't bother me at all. Someone who has better taste buds than me might find the taste unpleasant though.

Performance

This lube performs quite well, and is one of my favorite Sliquids to date. It feels slightly more natural, in my opinion, as opposed to the more gel-like Sliquids (such as Sassy Booty). One thing I have noticed though, is that it doesn't work that great with really draggy silicone. VixSkin and Fun Factory are the worst offenders on the account; the amount you have to keep reapplying to get a frictionless glide just isn't worth it, so I use a different Sliquid lube with those toys. But for solid toys with no drag (like stainless steel) or for silicone that's less draggy (such as Jopen), it works great.

Overall, I'd recommend this lube if you want one that is outstanding for vaginal use, and you don't mind having to use a different lube if you have silicone toys with lots of drag.

Packaging

Satin comes in a blue plastic #1 bottle with a push cap. It looks more like shampoo or something, rather than lube, so it's nice and discreet.
