NaughtiBod - traditional vibrator discontinued by OhMiBod - review by underHim

This generally unimpressive toy has nothing to it except a cute gimmick. It is a small toy. It measures only 6 inches long (only 4 of those inches are insertable) and 3 inches in circumfrence. It comes in a nice set that includes a storage bag, the toy and the cord. The cord plugs into your music player with a pretty standard jack, then into the base of the toy. There is an imput jack for plugging in headphones. It is about 3 feet long and despite this it does not get tangled up or in the way, although it might if you are a real thrasher. It runs off of two AAA batteries. The homepage on Eden says under special features that there are batteries included. I did not get any batteries, not a big deal to me, but I just want to mention that. There are three subtle bulges along the length of the toy leading down to a plastic ring and under that there are two buttons. One button turns it on and the other is used to change the function.

The colors on the Oh My Bod are vibrant and they certainly have a nice variety of colors available. I chose the red and the color is very pretty. It is made out of a velvety finished plastic and is very safe. That is where it loses its cosmetic appeal. Mine came with several cosmetic flaws. The plastic silver band around the base is not perfectly smooth around the edges where it was cut during manufacturing. There is a similar flaw in the red plastic section of the base. Imagine what it would be like if you cut something with a dull knife and it would catch and snag the material and you will get the idea. I was unable to get the flaws to show up in pictures. Cleaning is easy. The instructions are to clean after every use with adult toy cleaner, or mild soap and water, and then dry thoroughly. When cleaning, keep motor, end cap and batteries away from liquids to prevent corrosion of electronic parts.

In my opinion it is a pretty weak toy. I am not a fan of vibrators that pack a huge punch, so when I say it is weak, it is really weak. You can choose to use this as either a traditional vibe simply by not plugging it into your music player and using the function buttons instead. In this mode there are three speeds and four different patterns available, all pretty buzzy. It is a pretty loud toy compared to almost every other one I own. I would not be comfortable using this if there was someone in the next room who I did not want to hear me. Since it is not waterproof, the shower is not an option.

I was very excited to get this. It seemed like such a neat idea. Sure, the other reviews were pretty blah, but I thought I would like it. There are other toys I ordered in the past which I really like despite the fact that they were poorly reviewed. I love music with a good deep base and constant beat during sex. That is the type of music that is perfect for this toy. It works better when you have a good beat. I put some oomph on my Iphone (labyrinth to be specific for those of you who are curious) and tried it out. The sound had to be turned all the way up to get the vibrations to work. They are almost non existent on the lower volumes. Yes, it vibrated to the beat and did what is is supposed to do, but it was never consistent enough or strong enough to get me off.
