Envie ripple massager - traditional vibrator by NS Novelties - review by Badass

The Envie ripple massager is the perfect stimulator for 3 major areas. This toy can easily be used for vaginal penetration, clitoral stimulation, and even anal penetration. Vaginally, this toys handle is helpful for angling forward toward the G-spot. Since this toy is not angled on its own, to hit your G-spot, angling it yourself will be necessary. This toy works well on the clitoris for a few reasons, one of the biggest perks for me were the bulges along the shaft of this toy. These bulges, or ripples, add extra sensation when dragging the toy, while vibrating, over your or your lovers clitoris. Anally this toy is a win as well, the handle flairs out at the base so you don't need to worry about it slipping in and getting lost. This toy can have other purposes outside of these 3, and can be used on any erogenous zone on your body.

The handle of this toy makes the Envie ripple massager an ideal tool for playing with a friend. You can put your finger through the handle to gain the best grip and make thrusting a breeze. The handle is beneficial in the same manner when using on yourself when alone.

The pink shaft, or insert-able portion, is make of silicone, but the handle itself is made of plastic. The silicone portion of this toy is completely solid and has almost no give at all unless you squeeze your fingers into it with all your hands might! The shaft also has a bit of drag to it and I highly recommend using lubricant during use. Silicone toys should be used with water based lubricants only. The black plastic handle is completely solid with no give at all aside from the pink silicone trimmings. The black plastic portion is very smooth and has minimal drag to it.

The Envie ripple massager has 5 bumps along the shaft that add to the sensation when in use. These bumps, along with the drag of this toy add quite of bit of extra sensation when using on any portion of your body.

From the bottom of the base to the very end of the shaft is 7", with only 4 3/4" of that being the pink silicone insert-able portion. This toy is 4 1/2" in circumference and 1/2" in diameter. The widest points of the bulges are 1 1/2" and the smallest portions, between the bulges, comes down to 1 1/4". In math terms it doesn't sound like much of a difference, but when in use my body was easily able to feel the difference between the bulges and small points, especially during insertion.

The black handle is a mere 2 1/4" long and is 2 1/4" at it's widest. The finger hole in the center is 1" and can fit most fingers easily. When the "nsn"(New Sensations) logo on the handle is facing you, the power button is on the right. The power button, ring inside handle, and the light stripe under the handle are all the same pink color as the shaft itself and these add a certain cuteness or style to this toy.

This toys relaxed feel, chic look and small design will be a big trigger for masturbatory beginners.

This toy has one button that controls 7 functions. This toy has 3 steady vibrations and 4 pulse settings. This toy has a silicone like piece on the very base that curves with the handle, and when on this piece lights up with a red light. This light even pulses in sequence with the pulses of the toy.

This first push of this button turns on the toy to light vibrations and a steady light at the base of the toy. The second and third push of this button up the vibrations and the vibrancy of the light at the bottom.
The fourth push is the start of the pulse functions, which is a quick paced light vibe then pause and repeat, with the light at the base pulsing in the same manner. The fifth is another pulse, but this one is closer to a "jingle bells" vibe, with the light flashing in the same pulse. On the sixth setting, you toy plays a little music for you. It sounds like a guitar string being plucked followed by a high, intense, and quite loud vibe. When this "guitar string" is plucked, the light rises with the sound, and then is completely solid when the high vibe is on. The goes back and forth until you change the setting. The seventh function is a high steady vibe for about 2 seconds, followed by a stutter of a pulse for again about 2 seconds. When the toys vibrations "flutter" so does the light at the base.

To turn off, simply hold down the button for 2 seconds. Continuing to push the button at the end of the cycle of pulses just brings you back to the beginning with the steady vibes.

As with most silicone toys, this toy is extremely easy to clean. Antibacterial soap and warm water will do the trick for you. The bulges, or ripples, of this toy do not create deep indents that would require extra attention. However, between the plastic base, also known as the lid for battery lodge, and the pink silicone there is a small gap. When using lubrication and during those times when you get exceptionally wet, I do recommend unscrewing that piece and giving the rivets where it screws on a nice wipe down with a wash cloth or wet wipe.

Generally, silicone toys can be boiled to disinfect. This toy, however, should never be boiled. Boiling this toy can effect the vibrating mechanisms inside and totally kill your vibrator.

As for storage, it is silicone and should not be housed with other silicone toys. You can store in your usual toy box or a toy pouch. Another option you have is simply storing it inside the box it comes in. In my opinion, this is a bit of a waste of space, but if you have the space to do so, why not? I personally intend on storing mine in a toy pouch, which will stay inside my toy box.

This toy comes to you in a very nifty looking package. The outer box is mostly black, with an actual size photo of the toy inside and the title name of the toy on the very front. The back of the outer shell has another image of the toy, this time a side view, with the perks of the toy around it. These include that this toy is waterproof, has 7 functions, and the LED accent light at the base. The left side of the outer shell tells you all the features on the back in four different languages. The bottom of this portion is where you will find your instructions for care. The right side of this outer box is just information about NS novelties.

The inner box is removed by sliding out through the top panel. This box has a clear panel on the front shaped as the toy so you can see the toy inside. Again, on the right of this the packaging tells you the name of this vibrator. The back of this box is black and blank, and the top and bottom of the box are simply labeled "nsnovelties" The right side of this box is the same as the outer shell, as is the left side. To open this portion and get to your toy, simply slide the top away from the bottom.

This toys packaging is mostly paper and cardboard, be sure to recycle it if you choose to throw out the packaging.

I think this is an awesome toy for nearly anyone in the market for one, but there is one small negitive thing I have to say about this toy. The light at the bottom can be a bit annoying to a point. I get distracted rather easily, and when alone in my dark bedroom the red light bouncing around in my blanket is somewhat distracting to me.

A perk to this light? If you're lover were deaf and wanted to get you off using a toy, they would be able to see what function or pulse they were on, and the intensity of that setting.
