K-Y yours and mine - lubricant discontinued by K-Y Brand - review by lilupbeatflower

This is just one of those products that gets mixed reviews, it's just not for everyone. My experience with K-Y yours and mine wasn't a bad one, it just wasn't what we expected. My boyfriend surprised me with this little gift for my birthday and we were excited to try it out. My first thought was I loved the eternal brace to hold the lubes together, we have yet to have a problem losing them in the drawer. However the cylinder shape is a problem for two reasons: one that you cannot stand them up so they won't spill, which is fairly easy since it is a thinner water-based lube. Second was how hard the cylinders were to squeeze, even after the first couple uses I felt I was squeezing it hard to get any lube out. Not to mention, the shape makes it hard to hold when you already have lube on your hands.

As for the texture of the lubes, I really like it. I love how thin it is when you first put it on your hands, but thickens up a little as you work it. Unfortunately, after a while of using "yours" it becomes almost rubbery, tough to move but not a sticky feeling. "Mine" stays thin and acts like a grease for when you put "yours" and "mine" together. I liked that "mine" doesn't thicken up, if it did it probably would get very irritating.

These lubes didn't smell like much; "yours" had no smell and "mine" had a light smell. Which was fine, we weren't really expecting them to smell great or anything we were more interested in the warming and cooling sensation. As for tasting them, don't. I had this bitter and very odd taste in my mouth after tasting "yours". Even though they aren't really meant to be edible it would have been nice if they were.

The reaction to the cooling and warming has its pros and cons. For the "yours" it works great as a hand job lube, because it warms up as you work it. As for combining the "yours" and "mine" there is no warming sensation (from what my boyfriend has told me). For "mine" I keep going back and forth on if I like it or not. As soon as it touches you it begins working, you get this deep cooling sensation as well as tingles. Even when you combine the "yours" and "mine" it doesn't change it stays cool, which can be nice sometimes. I think I would have liked to feel it heat up though. The problem I had with it was the tingling sensation lasting too long, it sounds kind of funny but it became annoying after a while. The tingling sensation is a great feeling in the moment, but afterwards it just becomes too much and makes you feel the urge to go to the bathroom when you don't have too.

"Yours" is a great hand job lube, and that's about it. "Mine" is a great clitoral stimulation lube; if you weren't in the mood before, you will be after you put this on. Did not irritate the skin, but the tingling sensation was irritating after a while.
