Vanity Vr3 - dual motor rabbit vibrator discontinued by Jopen - review by Sally Forth

The Jopen Vr3 is a dual stimulation vibrator. This means, of course, that you can insert it in your vagina and also have clitoral stimulation without having to use a second toy. Yay! The controls are extremely simple to use (to the extent of being a bit of a drawback - more on that later in the review). This toy can be used by anyone with a vagina and clitoris. It could definitely be used by people who don't have that type of equipment too, although it's not specifically designed for it. Anal penetration is likely possible, but not recommended. You'd have a hard time getting it lost in an anus, but you'd likely also find it difficult to insert without poking yourself somewhere in uncomfortable ways. Externally, the vibrations could be enjoyed by anyone, though.

I use this toy mainly for solo time. It can be used for partner play, but for reasons I will go into later, it works best for me when I operate and handle it myself.

The absolute best thing about this (and very occasionally the worst thing): it's rechargeable! No stupid batteries to buy! Unfortunately, if you need to charge it, it'll tell you by turning on, and then almost immediately off. That can be a giant bummer, especially if you're used to having to replace batteries and are prepared for that event. For this one, you have to plug it in and wait. The initial charge is three hours. The subsequent charge times are shorter. More like an hour and a half to two hours.

The Vr3 is made of silicone. It is non-porous, body safe and can be disinfected. It's waterproof, but has motors and is very expensive, so I wouldn't recommend putting it in the dishwasher or boiling it. A 10% bleach solution would work, though. The manufacturer recommends using mild soap and water or toy cleaner. Because I found out the hard way that I'm sensitive to the Triclosan in toy cleaner, I recommend that if you use it, you follow it up with a little mild soap and a lot of water before you use the toy. If anyone ever does boil or dishwasher their Vr3 with success, I'd like to know about it.

If you're sharing this toy with someone with whom you're not fluid-bonded, you should disinfect it between partners. And if you're going to attempt to use it anally (which I can't recommend, but I know some folks will do anyway), do use a condom or glove or something, and/or disinfect between anal and vaginal play.

The texture is somewhat velvety, not slick at all, and has quite a bit of drag. Even when I'm already very aroused, I find it easiest to insert with a bit of water-based lube. I also like to put a drop of lube on the clitoral attachment to reduce the friction a little bit. Because it's made of silicone, you should only use water-based lube with this toy, as silicone lubes can potentially degrade the material.

It does not smell or taste like anything out of the box, but being made of silicone, it tends to retain the scent of whatever you use to clean it.

I'm typically not a fan of this type of vibrator, but I must say this one is the closest to perfect that I have found for my particular anatomy. My objection to "rabbit style" vibrators is that the arm for the clitoral attachment is often not flexible enough for me to be able to position it to hit me in the right place. The arm on this one is fairly flexible, but it doesn't actually even need to be because it just hits me well as it is.



The best part of this vibrator for me is the part which is inserted vaginally. It hits my g-spot without me even having to do anything or think about anything. I can get off with this toy without turning it on (I actually tested that) just by inserting it and moving it around a bit. The one drawback to the design of this (for me) is that as someone who typically is a "female ejaculator", I find I can't usually cum that way with this vibrator, and occasionally having an orgasm is a little... uncomfortable. You see, I can't cum with something inside me, and my body usually expels whatever is there in order to get off. Due to the shape of this toy, though, it sometimes gets hung up on my pubic bone and so I have a different type of orgasm. Not bad, except when my body wants to do one thing and is forced to do another.

One cool thing about the shape of the vaginal portion is that you can use it as a kegel exerciser. Clench and pull gently. Release. Repeat as desired.

The controls are extremely simple. There is one button for each motor, located on the front of the toy. Each button has a LED light under it which indicates that the motor is on. To power on, you push the button. To escalate the speed, you continue holding the button until you reach the desired speed. If you want more speed and haven't gotten to the highest setting, hold the button down some more. Sadly, you can't de-escalate the speed. If you went past where you wanted it, you push the button quickly and it stops. You can then start from the lowest speed and pay more attention this time.

There is a travel lock function, which will make it so the toy won't turn on in your bag. You hold down both buttons for four seconds and it locks. It comes locked, and once you charge it fully, you just do the same thing to unlock it.

I wish that there were some interesting vibration patterns, or at least that one could more easily "scroll through" the intensities. One thing worth mentioning that I personally enjoy but not everyone will, is that the two motors don't go at the same speed. The vaginal motor is deep and rumbly while the clitoral motor is quite buzzy.

This toy is very easy to care for. As I said above, soap and water or a toy cleaner is recommended by the manufacturer. That should suffice if you're using it only with yourself. If you feel a need to disinfect it, a 10% bleach solution should do the trick.

Use a water-based lube with it, no silicone lubes please! As I mentioned, liquid silicone can cause silicone toys to melt, warp, or otherwise degrade. Also, do not let this toy rest against another silicone toy. The same thing can happen. Silicone doesn't react well with other silicone.

I store this toy in the box it came in. It came with a fabric storage pouch, but the pouch was large enough that I could use it for a larger toy that I didn't have anything better than a plastic bag for.

This toy came in a box with the Jopen Vanity logo on it. It's white and purple. Very discreet, except for the back/bottom of the box which has a photo of the toy and some information about it. Nowhere does it actually say "vibrator" or "sex toy", but it does say that it has dual motors powered by PowerBullet and that the product is intended as a novelty only.

I'm not sure if it's due to the shape of the toy or having been a little OCD about my kegel exercises, but I can use this toy hands free. It stays in place while I change positions, and even when my partner has me with my hands behind my back or up on the wall. The clitoral stimulation isn't quite as intense, of course, but it still does something, and if I "kegel" with it inserted, I can definitely make it work for me.

As you likely know if you've read other reviews I've written, I like DP, and I find that this is an awesome toy to use when being penetrated anally by an actual human. It also works well with a butt plug, since the plug tends to pick up the vibrations. It's cool using this toy for DP because everything is happening at once and I don't really have to think about it, I can use it hands free. Then I can pinch my nipples or use my riding crop on them or well, whatever I can think of. It's fun times.
