I'll keep you my dirty little secret

The SinFive Emigi is THE Kegel exerciser. It's small, discreet, beautiful, and should be comfortable for beginners and advanced users alike. Those with shorter vaginal canals and tilted uteruses worried about a dual-ball toning system can confidently invest in the Emigi.
Published: July 9, 2010
Pros:
Small, cute as hell, antimicrobial, discreet, and easy to use.
Cons:
May underwhelm those looking for intense stimulation from an exerciser.

Use

The SinFive Emigi is an innovative new way to exercise your PC (pubococcygeus) muscles, also known as your Kegels. SinFive has taken the classic dual ball system most women are used to and streamlined it into a single Mr. Peanut shaped package.

The Emigi is prefect for those just beginning to train their PC muscles and aren't sure if a dual-ball system like the SmartBalls is right for them. Those with shorter vaginal canals or a tipped uterus (like myself) may find the Emigi much easier to handle and use due to its design and small size.

As with all vaginal exercisers, here comes the warning for sticking it up your ass: DON'T. It isn't meant for anal play whatsoever. It is tiny and will get sucked into your brown hole in an instant and no one wants to go to a hospital to undergo a toy retrieval.

Material / Texture

Emigi is made of WTP, which is a completely body-safe plastic that is phthalate-free, latex-free and hypoallergenic. It's plastic, but the Emigi feels almost rubbery. It's actually firm but flexible and fun to play with. It has no odor or taste and has a velvety texture. I'm really impressed by this material, especially its antimicrobial properties. Leave it to a German toy company to make a toy that cleans itself.

The antimicrobial makeup of the toy has no effects on the human body and doesn't leach any weird chemicals into your woohoo. When microbes come into contact with the toy's surface, the molecular additive actually destroys the microbe's metabolism, rendering the little germ useless. This doesn't mean that you can use the toy, throw it somewhere, then use it again without washing it properly. SinFive recommends washing your Emigi with lukewarm water and an antibacterial soap and drying it with a lint-free cloth.

Design / Shape / Size

Due to several life-scarring advanced Biology classes, the Emigi reminds me of a cell during a stage of mitosis. It looks like the Emigi may have been one ball at one time, then decided "Hells naw, I wanna be twins" so it divided partially in opposite directions from each other. Hey, at least I'm not calling it a mouse or a peanut for the 50th time.

I think the shape and size is just perfect. It's about the size of a man's thumb, with a concave center separating the two weights inside. There is a seam but it isn't noticeable at all. The Emigi's cord or tail is about 3" long but if it's bothersome you can most certainly cut it to fit to your liking.

Performance

I was very nervous at first to even insert the Emigi after such bad luck with the SmartBalls. But, I laid on my bed and relaxed, lubed up the little bean and inserted it gently like a tampon (or NuvaRing). Halfway in, my muscles did most of the work and sucked it in. All I really had to do was push it in a little further and it fell into place. I laid down for a few more minutes and did some Kegel exercises, gently tugging on the cord for resistance. Then, I performed the complicated "stand up" test. So I stood up.

The Emigi feels weird inside, and I definitely felt the weights. I felt no sort of vibration that has been reported with this and other vaginal exercisers with weights, but the Emigi itself was noticeable and reminded me to contract my PC muscles. I was able to walk around, sit down, stand up and skip around and kept the Emigi inside my difficult vagina. Success!

I felt no pain during insertion or removal (all you have to do is pull on the cord gently to remove it...like a tampon). Sometimes I would get a weird feeling that the Emigi was falling out, akin to the feeling of an inserted tampon that isn't in far enough. When I get this feeling I just contract my PC muscles for about 10 seconds and the feeling subsides.

Care and Maintenance

The Emigi is compatible with both silicone and water-based lubricants, and, again, should be washed before and after each use, even with its magical antimicrobial properties.

It's small enough to hide in your underwear drawer or purse, but I suggest keeping it in its original packaging. It's too cute to throw away.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store

Packaging

The Emigi's packaging made me go all "AWWWWWWW" when I saw it. If you look on EF's product page for the Emigi and click on the picture of the Emigi's packaging to enlarge it, you'll get an actual-sized picture of the package itself. It's so tiny and looks like a futuristic cyber lunch bag. It's perfect for storing the product in. When you open the little box, pull out the paper insert and it turns into a brochure that gives tons of information about the product in like 15 languages.

I'd say it's safe to leave the Emigi in its original package on your night stand; it's quite unassuming and you can't tell what the hell it is unless you pick it up and read it. But if you have small children, keep this away from them because it does look like a toy, and a picture of the Emigi is on the front of the package. It looks colorful and playful, but it's a toy for Mommy, dammit.
    • Discreet looking packaging
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative

Experience

I didn't really have high hopes for the Emigi because of my ladybit problems; I'd already tried the Fun Factory SmartBalls and they just popped out of me. The Emigi is comfortable and I can leave it in for long periods of time with no problems and no pain whatsoever. I'm really thankful this product is available to everyone because I'm absolutely in love with it and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to strengthen their PC muscles, whether because you've given birth, are incontinent, or just want stronger orgasms.

  • Do you get cramps with Emigi?
    • I've noticed that when I use the Emigi kegel exerciser, I have very mild cramps. Gas anyone else noticed this, or am I just crazy?

Could it be touching your cervix and irritating it?

  • Kegel exercisers
    • Which is the best kegel exerciser? I've read good things about the sinfive emigi and luna pleasure beads and hte ami system. I would like some opinions on hte best one. I've had two children vaginally so it's probably about time I start toning things up.
    • As a male I find the Pure Plug anal toys from Njoy to be good for doing kegels. I suppose if you were a woman you could do a DP kegel routine!(nerd)
    • The Emigi seems like a great way to start! I really like my Loa, but they're kind of large! The Ami seems like the best (but is a bit pricey) because you get 3 and can steadily increase the difficulty!

  • Why is it only safety rating 8?
    • The material section says that it is non porous, phthalates free, and anti-bacterial, so why is the safety rating only an 8? I bought this and the g-ki for my birthday and they are arriving today, but I just became worried that I might have a yeast infection or something. I'm so disappointed that I might have to wait to use my new toys, but I don't think it is safe to use them if I have one, right? I don't want to contaminate my toys?

    • You can't boil it! Toys that you can boil get a higher safety rating!

  • Am I using Emigi right?
    • I just got this and I've used it for a couple of days. I feel nothing. Absolutely nothing when it's in me. The only time I do is when I have it placed closer to my vaginal opening and the feeling isn't pleasurable and the thing slips out. How far in is this toy supposed to go? And am I supposed to feel it or is it still going to work if I don't?

I believe it sits right inside - I tried it closer to my opening too but it was mighty uncomfy. I felt the exact same as you. Emigi does NOTHING for me. It's like I'm not even using it. In my opinion, it's useless. But a lot of people love it.
It was my first kegel toy and I was disappointed.

But then I bought the Lelo Luna Beads which are pricey but SOOOOOOO worth it.
Any slight movement and you will feel the internal balls moving with ease! They are fabulous (inlove)
I find the girdle is too long for me so I just use one of the balls inserted on it's own. I cut the string off mine cause I find them easy to push out using ya muscles. One day I must try inserting 2 balls, but I'm not sure there's enough room to have both in, for me.

If you want to feel the internal balls moving around, I highly suggest Luna Beads! I LOVE mine.

Thanks, but the last thing I will do is spend more money on something that may not work. Besides, the Luna beads are too big for me. I've never had anything bigger than 4 inches in circumference in me so that's my limit.

If I put Emigi in and gently pull on the string to get it to move a little more down, I can feel some pressure and it feels pretty good. It also doesn't fall out unless the tail end is further towards my vaginal opening.

I don't know if it's all because I'm too loose or my muscles are too weak, but I am hoping that with a little more practice, I will get this thing to work.

  • SinFive Emigi Kegel Improvements
    • So I was ready another review of the SinFive Emigi and am thinking of getting this for my wife. Obviously the purpose of it is to strengthen your kegels so I thought it might be good to make an area where those that have used it can post back about how it has or hasn't helped them.

I almost didn't get the Emigi because several things I read said about it being for beginners. I dont feel like a beginner,..but I guess I am because it can slip out on me on occasion,...so I guess I have kegel work to do,..... but two 9 lbs babies will do that ;-) Feels good, comfortable

  • WTP or Elastomer?
    • I sat down this evening and wanted to write a review of my Emigi, and started to read carefully the instructions, where it said it was made of elastomer. However, in the product description, it says it is made of WTP, which a type of thermoplastic.

I can only see Sinfive products that fall in that material category, and I was wondering if it called WTP by Edenfantasys because it has those antimicrobial properties and received a bonus point in the material safety scale (8 for WTP, and 7 for Elastomer)? I'm asking because some of you know that I write product sheet about materials on my blog, and I'm not to sure how to deal with that material. It looks like I could include a note about WTP in a main page about 'Elastomer', but I'd like to make sure i would be correct. However, I can't find what it stands for, and if anyone knew, it would really be helpful.
    • I'm not sure... but I would try contacting the manufacturer. Furthermore, I would always go with the information provided with the toy rather than on a website where someone might input the wrong info.
    • oh... I just realized what WTP was.... What The Pfuck!? Okay, that was lame, but I crack myself up.

  • It Looks So Cute And Tiny!
    • I can't help it, i want one. But... only 1 review? Will there be more? Who has one? I'm just kinda disappointed there's no blue one. The pictures make the purple one seem dark, but others have shown it to be lighter and more blueish. Anyone have the plum one and can tell for sure what it looks like?

I also like the fact it's small and less intimidating than smart balls, which I have always debated getting. For a decent price and a small compact shape, I might have to get these and see what all this kegal exercising is all about. :P

Anyone else gonna pick one of these little peanuts up? :P (It looks like a peanut to me, lol.)

We just got these last week, I think, so at least one more review should be coming out soon. :)
    • I'm hoping to review it eventually! Darn only-one-a-month thingy and being broke!
