Bloom - g-spot vibrator by Leaf - review by Badass

The Bloom from Leaf is as multipurpose as a toy can get. It can be used for clitoral massage or vaginal penetration. Since both the leaf and the bottom of the stem have separate vibes and can be controlled separately, either end can be inserted into the vagina or used to stimulate the clitoris. Personally, I believe the leaf side is the best for penetration. I've found it hits my G-spot with much more ease than the stem side.

For anal use, this would be best geared for a beginner. I would only recommend inserting the stem side, so that the leaf itself can prevent the toy from sliding completely in. I also think the leaf would be to pokey and might hurt that hole.

Aside from masturbatory purposes, it can come in quite handy during foreplay. It can easily be used to stimulate any and all of your, or your lover's, erogenous zones. Since the midsection can bend, it can even be used to pinch the nipples or other parts of the body.

This toy is also waterproof and can be taken into any form of water. With the exception of boiling water.

This toy gets a 10 on the Eden scale of safety since it is made of silicone. This toy is latex free, hypoallergenic, phthalates free, and completely nonporous. Even though it is completely nonporous, I still recommend suing a condom if you share with a partner.

The feel of this toy is similar to that of velvet. This toy is flexible at the midsection and can be bend every which way you choose. This toy also has a bit of give to it. I would not call it squishy, but it is slightly squeezable. It is completely smooth with no bumps, ridges, or nubs. The only bumps this toy has are the two that control the vibrations. The is a bit of writing that is upraised on the toy as well. These sections are all still remarkably smooth. There is a slight seam that can be seen with the eye, but can hardly be felt by the finger. This toy does have a bit of drag to it, however, and you may want to use lubricant. Only water based lubricants should be used on this toy. Never use silicone lubricant on this toy.

Straight out of the box, the toy does have a light smell. It reminds me of rubber, but it is very faint. After a few uses and cleaning sessions, the smell has totally dissipated.

This toy has a very artistic design to it. It reminds me of a leaf on a stem. The color of the Bloom reminds me of two colors, lime green and pea green. The color of this toy is a mixture of the two. When this toy was designed, I am not quite sure what they had in mind. Part of me thinks it was for penetration, since the stem has it's own motor. But if that was the case, why would they have put the two controlling buttons on that portion? The other part of me thinks that it is simply intended to be used to stimulate the clitoris. But again, why have a motor in the stem if that was the case? This leads me to believe that they wanted to design a multifaceted toy that can be used any which way you so choose.

All together, this toy is 6 3/4" long. 2 1/2" of that being the leaf and 4 1/4" of it being the stem. The leaf portion is 1 1/2" a it's widest point and comes down to 1/8" at the tip of the leaf. The leaf is 1 1/4" thick at it's widest point, and comes down to about 1/2" in thickness at the tip of the leaf. The widest point on the stem is 1" wide and the smallest point, where the toy is bendable, it is just over 1/4".

This toy has a whopping two buttons. The one closer to the leaf controls the vibrations of it, and the only closer to the charging port of the base controls the stem. Both are located side by side, toward the bottom of the stem. Both of the buttons work in the same manner. Push the button once to turn that particular bullet on. Then, hold it down to raise the intensity of the steady vibes. Both can be on at the same time or they can be used separately. To turn either one back of, simply push the button down and release. The leaf products do require a bit of getting used to.

When you first turn the toy on, with either button, that button will light up green. As you hold the button down to increase the power of the vibrations, this light will flash. This light, or both lights if both bullets are turned on, will not turn off until the toy is turned off.

This toy, and the other Leaf products, do not have any functions. They only provide steady vibes. The Bloom is very quiet, even on it's highest setting. On this highest setting, I would give this toy 5 vrooms. It is a very powerful toy.

The Bloom is also rechargeable. At the base of the stem, you will see a tiny hole. This is where you will be inserting your charger. When the toy is charging, the second button will light up red. This light will turn off when the toy is completely charged.

As with most silicone toys, the Bloom is pretty easy to clean. Generally, silicone toys can be boiled or placed in the dishwasher to disinfect, but this would be a terrible idea with this toy since it is a vibrator. For cleaning, you should use warm water and antibacterial soap, toy cleaner, or a toy wipe.

This toy comes to you with a storage pouch that is big enough to hold both the toy and the charger with a bit of extra room. I highly recommend storing your new toy in this pouch. Should you not want to store your toy in this pouch, at least keep it away from other silicone toys.

This toy comes to you in a fairly discreet box. The box resembles cardboard and is supposedly made of recycled paper. The front portion of the box tells you the manufacturer(Leaf) and the product name(Bloom). The backside of this box gives you some details about the product. It was made in China and has a 1 year warranty. It is made of 100% silicone, is completely waterproof, and that it is rechargeable.

The front panel of this box is actually the lid. You lift the right side panel and the front panel comes along with it. Underneath it, you will see a black panel that pulls out. This panel is actually a holder for your instructions booklet. This panel also pulls out to reveal your toy and charger.

The box this toy comes in is completely recyclable. When you are sure everything is kosher with your toy, please set out with your other recyclables.

When I first received and tried the Fresh from Leaf, I loved it. It had become my favorite clitoral toy since my Matryoshka broke on me. I have, however, had my eye on the Bloom for even longer. The Bloom has a unique shape that gives it quite a bit of character. I wanted to try it, but was unsure if I would even enjoy using it.

I thought I loved the Fresh, but the day my Bloom came, I lost interest in the Fresh. The Bloom gives me a handle for when I am stimulating my clitoris, and it can be inserted. I wasn't sure how the ends would feel when inserted because of the stem being so thin and the leaf at the end being comparably much larger. I sure am glad I gave it a shot though because I love how the leaf feels when inserted. I know this toy is not designed for G-spot action, but I was able to achieve G-spot orgasm from it.
