I Really Wanted to Love It!
I really wanted to love the We-Vibe 3, but because of my anatomy it just isn't right for me. Don't let this stop you from trying it out though, if it fits right for you it would be a great toy! Do keep in mind that the vibrations aren't very strong, but they are pleasant vibrations.Published: February 22, 2012
Pros:
Double stimulation, partner use, attractive, rechargeable, charging case, quiet.
Cons:
Slides around a lot, the toy isn't great for my anatomy, not very powerful.
The We-Vibe 3 is made of silicone that gives off a very slight odor. I didn't find the odor to be offensive at all though; it has a very clean smell. The silicone seems to have slightly sticky feeling, so I think this toy would be best used with adequate lubrication, although the stickiness does help hold it in place in the vagina. This does mean that the We-Vibe 3 will attract lots of hair and fibers, but they wash right off when cleaning. Since the toy is completely waterproof you can submerge it in warm water with soap to wash. Please do NOT use silicone based lubes with the We-Vibe 3 as it will break down the silicone of the toy. Any water based lubrication is perfect for this toy.
The We-Vibe 3 is a "C" shaped toy that features dual stimulation for the clitoris and the g-spot. I think this toy could also be used for dual anal and vaginal stimulation. The nice thing about the power button is that it's located on the clitoris side of the toy (the wider end is for the clitoris, the more narrow end is meant to sit inside the vagina and rest against the g-spot) so you don't need to remove the toy to turn it on and off. Each side of the toy contains its own motor that work simultaneously together. There are also ridges on each end to help keep the toy from slipping during use, these ridges aren't meant for stimulation and you can't really feel them at all.
One nice addition to the We-Vibe 3 that the previous models didn't have is a wireless remote. The remote works very well from close ranges, from far ranges, it won't work underneath clothing. It has no off button, but simply holding the button down for several seconds will turn the vibrations off. You have to turn the We-Vibe 3 on first by pushing the button located on the clitoris, then you can cycle through 2 levels (low and high) and 4 different patterns (long pulsations, escalating, short pulsations, long pulsations then short pulsations).
Personally I thought the vibrations in this toy were pretty weak, even on high, but I prefer really strong vibrations. I do like the way the We-Vibe 3 vibrates, though. On the lowest setting the vibrations are very buzzy, on the high setting the vibrations get a nice mix of buzzy and rumbly. I was surprised by how quiet this toy was, under the covers with closed doors it would be hard to hear it from outside of the room.
Using the toy wasn't quite as fun as I thought it would be. I love the added girth it gives when you're using it with a partner, and it also makes me feel tighter for my partner, but the toy slides around a lot during use. I noticed that instead of the penis sitting underneath the toy, it tended to push the toy to the side and slide along side of the toy which wasn't what I was expecting or desiring. When the We-Vibe 3 gets pushed to the side inside of the vagina it tends to push the vibrator off of the clitoris so a lot of holding it in place was needed if I wanted to feel vibrations on my clitoris. I also noticed that since I seem to have a longer vaginal wall, the toy didn't reach my g-spot and I actually felt the vibrations more anally than anything. I'm not a fan of anal vibrations, so I really didn't like the way the We-Vibe 3 felt for me. In someone with different anatomy, I think the toy would work nicely, but that's something to keep in mind if you seem to have a longer than average vagina. Another downfall to the We-Vibe 3 is the sticky silicone- the material catches and drags on condoms and it almost feels like the toy is going to get pulled out or the condom is going to be damaged from all the drag. You definitely want to be gentle and use lots of lubrication if you're using condoms in use with this toy.
Even though I didn't like the toy that much, my partner really liked the way the vibrations felt against his penis. He definitely thought they could be stronger and that they weren't that noticeable, but he could still feel them and thought they were pleasurable.

Follow-up commentary
3 days after original review
My boyfriend and I only gave the We-Vibe 3 a couple of tries, but it has some serious issues with fitting my anatomy and sliding around while we use it. The vibrations are just not enough for me and combined with not staying in place, I just can't give it much of a chance! I ended up returning the We-Vibe 3 so I can pick out something better fitted for my body.

We Vibe: A few questions
-
I am looking to get a toy like this or similar... After reading a few reviews, I read they are uncomfortable with girth. Any suggestions on another toy similar for if my guy has mid-large girth?

Yeah, you can either send a support ticket on Eden, and they can probably hook you up with information on what to do, or contact We-Vibe directly.

we-vibe III or II?
-
Has anyone tried both We-vibe 2 and 3? I was just wondering if there was a noticeable difference that would make it worth buying the new one.

I have tried both, and referenced this in my review of the We Vibe 3. -

I was wondering how the We Vibe III is different from the We Vibe II.

Quote: I was wondering how the We Vibe III is different from the We Vibe II.If you add the We-vibe 2 and the we-vibe 3 to your comparison list you will be able to see all the differences quite clearly :) The big difference for me is the the we vibe 3 is TOTALLY waterproof. I'm excited to try this one in the shower!

Thanks for the review! How did you like the size of this toy?

We-vibe 3 or the Lelo Insignia Tiani
-
I'm super intrigued by the shape of these toys, and would love to try. Has anyone got any experience or thoughts on one versus the other? The Tiani seems to feel nicer and silkier, which I like, but the fact that you can't control it without the remote is a huge "turn off" (pun intended, hehe). Any other thoughts would be super helpful!
[Full disclosure: I already posted a comparison discussion but they dont seem to be super easy for people to find and only two people responded saying they wanted to hear the answer to this, so I figured I'd try again here.]
Thank you! -

Any other thoughts would be super helpful!I have found a comparison review somewhere, I can't remember where. Basically it said the Tiani did have a nicer feel to it, but the remote issue caused problems. The We-Vibe was not as smooth and silky so it caused problems when used with other toys more than anything. It was also noted the insertable side of the We-Vibe was a bit larger, so it may be too much with additional penetration for some.

I too would love to hear more on the discussion. -
I know I'm a little late in posting a reply, but I just saw this post (while looking at the We-Vibe III product page), and I wanted to add my own $0.02. I own and have used both products, and I would personally advise you to go for the We-Vibe if you need vibrations that are a little deeper/thrummier/rumbl ier. Tiani's vibrations are light a high-pitched whine - very annoying, and they're not "deep" enough to be thrilling, just moderately pleasurable. In terms of comfort/flexibility, both are similar.

Use with a condom
-
So I was looking at getting this toy and was reading some reviews about it. I read one that said use with a condom can be a bit risky. I was wondering if this was true and if anyone has any experiences one way or another.
-
Hmm. I find it odd that they said that as it has a 10 safety rating and is made of silicone. I'd be interested to know why too (unless they're talking about sharing the toy).
-
Maybe they meant that using a condom on it along with a condom on your partner can cause the condoms to break? Perhaps you could send a message to the reviewer.

I wanna put it somewhere questionable....

This is the We Vibe 3. As far as I can tell, the only difference is the remote, which is why I like it. From what I've gathered, one end of it goes inside a woman's vagina during penetrative sex, and the vibrations to her clitoris are supposed to make it easier for her to climax during intercourse. Easy enough. But I have a couple of questions. 1) Where do the vibrations take place, and 2) Does that extreme bend make it at least a little more safe to insert anally?
See, I've been looking for-EVER for an anal-safe, wireless, remote-controlled ANYTHING that I can put inside my boyfriend, then buzz him unexpectedly at inappropriate times in public. This little guy caught my eye. What does everyone think? -
It would make it safer to put inside him, but the curve may put unpleasant pressure on his balls/perineum! It's a bit long and I know that my boyfriend HATES any pressure on his balls! I'd look at the measurements for the part that would be external and then see where that comes to on his anatomy? Hope I helped!

Thank you for viewing We-Vibe 3 – sex toy review page!

Thanks for the review!
If it doesn't fit to your g-spot and hence doesn't provide vibrations you like, it certainly does seem to spell doom for making this work. Thanks for the review.
Hmmm...weak vibrations, doesn't fit right-pass! Good review, though.
thanks for the review!
I should clarify that it didn't fit MY anatomy, the We-Vibe 3 might fit someone shaped a little differently much better than it fit me.
Thanks for the review.
