If I could I would marry the LIV!
This item is of such high quality, I honestly think I could have paid more for it and still felt the price was just. The type of vibrations it produces are resonating, they don't just sit on the skin. The fact that it is rechargeable is definitely a HUGE plus. I cannot say anything bad about the Liv. I must say, this is my FAVORITE "pleasure object"...by far! The Liv truly has it all together! It is made with a high quality, hypo-allergenic material that is 100% non porous and sterilizable. It is so soft and a breeze to clean. Just a bit of mild antibacterial soap and warm water on the "business end" and you're good to go.
The motor is quite powerful with a full range of speeds and functions. It has 5 different functions, slow, medium and fast pulse, solid and a cool "wave-like" function. These can be controlled by pushing the up or down arrows. It also has around 10 different speeds, which can be controlled by holding down the left and right buttons. They range from barely moving to fast vibrations. It doesn't produce the type of vibration that just sits on top of the skin. If it's on your clit you can feel it through your whole lower abdomen. IT'S INCREDIBLE! Also, I must mention how incredibly QUIET I've found the Liv to be! I have a harder time getting aroused if a vibe is too loud, but this one can barely be heard OUTSIDE of the covers!
As far as aesthetics goes, Lelo has always been on top of their game. The Liv is beautifully elegant and almost resembles an Apple computer product of sorts. It is so soft to the touch. Although the buttons are almost flush to the rest of the handle, they're very easy to navigate and don't take a lot of pressure to push. The control pad also lights up when pushing buttons, blinks when charging, turns solid when it is through and turns red when it is going dead. Also, if you hold the entire control pad down for 5 seconds, it will lock the vibrator so you can travel without worrying it's going to go off unexpectedly. And, on that note, it also come with a silky little pouch for bedside tables or traveling! Nifty!
And, possibly my most favorite aspect, this one is RECHARGEABLE! (Vibrator lovers rejoice!) The wall charger simply plugs into the bottom of the Liv and takes about two hours to fully charge. (NOTE: it will NOT be charged right out of the box.) It holds a charge for a good while. (Well, longer than I could ever use it in one sitting or TWO!)
Something to remember about your LIV, watch the lube you use, ALWAYS do a spot check. The Liv is made of pure silicone, so silicone based lubes are best avoided. I use the simple KY water-based lube (no warming/ cooling/ tingling sensation...just plain lube) and it doesn't hurt the material. Honestly, this vibrator is so soft it really doesn't require much!
Although this may be an investment to some, as it was for me, it is WELL worth the money. If you are still a bit hesitant, the Liv comes with a one year warranty and a ten year quality guarantee.

I personally love to take the very tip and rub in tiny circles around my clit on full speed to get going and about half way until I climax I like to drop the speed down to about half...I can feel each rotation of the motor far more at that lowered speed. but definitely experiment with different speeds at different times in your session, you'll be surprised at what this little thing can do!

Looking at the new Lime Green color of LELO's Liv, I'm very close to buying it, just because it's such a kick ass color. Anybody else have a soft spot for nicely colored toys?
Gigi will be my next purchase, and I think the dusty rose actually looks really pretty, but now there's bright blue...lol, I'm torn. -
Blue, green, and orange are my favorites. I prefer the "non-natural" coloring :-). Even if it's shaped like a real penis, it should be day-glo purple or somesuch :-)

I'm that way too. I like non-natural colors for toys. That is a kick ass color, that green. The pink Gigi does look pretty, but I also like how bright the turquoise is too! My next big buy will probably be a Gigi too, it just sounds so amazing. :)

I've been hearing a lot lately about the Gigi. I haven't paid much attention because I absolutely love my Liv. I flipped back and saw that they are the same price, same company and only slightly different design. Does anyone actually have both? The Liv has been my all time favorite vibrator for a long time.

I actually have the Liv (though I haven't written up a review yet), the Iris, and the Elise. Honestly, and I hate to say it, but the Liv is probably my least favorite of the bunch. It's still an excellent vibe, but it's missing the delicious texturing of the Iris and the g-spot magic of the Gigi. If you like Lelo's products, I'd say the Gigi is definitely worth checking out!

Good start to a first review. I do love how you included all of the main aspects of the Liv, but I'd love to see you go more in depth about each aspect. For example, you said it recharges, but where does the charger connect? Is it easy to connect it? Does it light up when recharging? Did it come charged?
Also, you did mention to spot check (which is awesome), but you don't actually mention that because it is silicone, silicone lubricant is actually the one you should beware of. Also, is the material porous or should you be using a condom with it?
I know you said the vibrations are powerful, but could you elaborate? How strong are they? What different levels are there? Is it easy to turn them on and off? How do you turn them up and down? Etc.
As for anally, I honestly wouldn't recommend it. It doesn't have a flared base which means it really isn't safe for anal use.
Good start to a review though. I'm really glad you liked the Liv.
