Internal sensations by Doc Johnson

The Internal Sensations vibe was one I very highly anticipated receiving when it came out. I love slender internal stimulators and vibes with bullets in the tip, so I thought this one would be ideal for me! Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed with this toy.

On the plus side, the Internal Sensations is a unique-looking and attractive toy, with a brushed satin finish and unusual profile. It’s waterproof, and operated by a simple, ribbed control dial at the base for easy gripping. The motor, as previously mentioned, is located in the tip and extremely tiny. It’s run by two AA batteries, which unfortunately don’t provide quite as much power to the tiny motor as I would hope.

The shaft is definitely slender, the most slender I’ve found in a vibrator. Ease of insertion is not as easy as it would seem, however. The shaft boasts being “flexible,” but in my opinion it is TOO flexible. The soft jelly material doesn’t stand up to much pressure, and it took some finger-guidance to get the vibe to insert.

The Internal Sensations also bills itself as a g-spot vibe, but really, I found it next to useless in this regard. The head is so tiny that, unless you know EXACTLY where your spot is or are willing to patiently hunt around, it is difficult to find. Plus, the extreme flexibility of the shaft really allows for NO pressure to be placed on the head without it bending out of the way. I even had my hubby help out with trying to get it positioned correctly, but to no avail; even at high speeds, because of the ultra-flexible shaft, most of the time I was barely able to tell it was in there.

On the upside, the Internal Sensations is not a total waste of money. Despite its name, it makes a far more effective clitoral stimulator. The motor and the head are so tiny you can position them exactly where you want them—directly on, above, or below the clit to get the sensations you want. Again, though, this requires holding the bullet directly in order to exert a sufficient amount of pressure to be effective. Also on the plus side, the vibe is whisper-quiet, so can be used very discreetly, even on it’s highest setting.

After repeated uses, I am still sorely disappointed in this product as anything but a pinpoint clitoral stimulator. I still find it utterly useless for internal stimulation--inserting a tampon is probably about as arousing! It looks nice, and is a great concept, so I definitely hope someone will improve on this type of toy design in the future.
