Iris sex toy review

Each ridge, texture and curve seem to have a purpose. The controls are very easy to use and the vibe itself is ultra quiet and rechargeable. It is beautiful to look at and even better to touch. For a purely vaginal vibrator, what more could you ask for?

If you have ever been struck with "The Urge," only to stop because the noise emanating from your mechanical playmate was too distracting or just plain annoying, please welcome the Iris! And if you like feeling a powerful buzz in more than one place, it does that, too.

The Iris|Iris G-spot vibrator by LELO itself is very pleasant to look at with its 100% silicone body and its stainless steel/white plastic end. The shaft end is lovely to touch as the silicone is smooth, yet has a distinct soft texture to it. The control end has a distinct look and feel of elegance; when I took mine out of the lovely black box, it was like opening a precious gift. LELO does not skimp on their packaging and certainly not on their product.

I also have the Lily|Lily Massager by LELO from this Sweden based and female oriented company. It is quite a pleaser and has found a permanent home in my purse, so I was expecting good things from the Iris. Let me say that I was not disappointed. As all of their products arrive with a full charge, you can use them right out of the box. Which I did. I hopped into bed, eager to see how it compared.

First, I played a little with the white lit controls to get a handle on making it buzz and vibrate (I definitely recommend fiddling with the dial to get acquainted - otherwise you may end up turning this lovely flower off more than turning yourself on). There are 5 different settings and two different motors (one in the tip and one in the center of the shaft). The settings are as follows:

1. A light vibration in the tip;

2. A light vibration in the center;

3. Short interval pulsations between both;

4. Extended interval pulsation between both;

5. Continuous vibration and pulsation with both;

You can also adjust the intensity of each.

After I familiarized myself with the settings, my solo encounter began by placing the tip on my clitoris. I quickly became aroused as the motor in the tip began its gentle humming. Because of the wide head, you can really cover quite a bit of skin while pinpointing where you want to be stimulated. Laying it to the side of the clitoris, sliding it over the labia and holding it in just one spot all proved to be extremely pleasant. I ran through each of the settings in each of these spots for as long as I could tease myself.

I wanted to get to the "main event" after just a few minutes of this and grabbed my favorite water based lubricant. Lubed and ready, I inserted the Iris inside of me and was very surprised at the way it felt. I generally prefer toys which are more pliable, however this toy is a great firmness and shape to rub against your G-Spot. I was in heaven.

As things heated up and I was trying to change the settings, I did find I would sometimes turn it off (it does have an immediate "off" setting), which did get a little frustrating. However, once I got it where I wanted it, there was no turning back (or off) and I peaked quite nicely. The last setting gives me an intense feeling of being completely full of vibration.

In my large collection of buzzies and things, the Iris is one of my favorites for a vaginal vibrator.

    Sounds like a winner from  your review!  I keep looking at this one repeatedly, but haven't taken the plunge yet...

    So it can be pretty intense in terms of vibration?
  • Contributor: TinyTease
    Dame Demi, I think that this toy is well worth the money.  Definitely worth taking the plunge, in my opinion.

    Epiphora, this is very intense for a vibrator.  It isn't going to be Hitachi intense, but I give it a definite 4 of 5 stars for buzz.
