Isn't the dream I'd want to have

I expected too much of this dream and was let down hard. The shape and size just didn't wind up working out for me and there's just not much else use for it. This is a toy that is doomed to sit in a drawer unused.

Use

This was my first toy and I was really hoping for a decent g-spot vibrator, but this just didn't wind up being it. The best use for this is the obvious; it's meant to be inserted vaginally in order to achieve some amount of g-spot stimulation. I wouldn't recommend it for use anally, and due to the shape and size it does not make it good for clitoral stimulation--unless you want to hold a decently weighted vibrator in place. I also cannot recommend this vibrator for couple play, once again due to the size and shape. Whenever my fiancé tried to manoeuvre it into me, it just wound up hurting and chafing me the wrong way. As far as affordability goes, the pricing on this toy is great. I would definitely recommend it to others, just not to first timers or those who are smaller. Also, despite the toy being waterproof, once again due to the size, I found it too difficult to use it while in the shower, though the tub might be doable. I just constantly felt myself wanting to push it out, rather than keep it in.

Material / Texture

The vibrator itself is made out of a hard plastic and is entirely inflexible; this might have also had an effect on my overall dislike of this vibrator. The only thing I can say I did enjoy was the velvety cote that covers the hard plastic. It's extremely smooth to the touch and was fairly easy to slide in up to the point of the bulge, which is where the problem for me came into play.

Design / Shape / Size

Despite what other reviewers have said, I have to say this is not recommended for first time users or for couple use, especially not for thrusting. The design just rubbed me the wrong way (this could just be because I'm smaller at just under five feet tall). It might have worked better if I wasn't as tight as I am, but even fully aroused it was problematic to get this toy to work for me. I had a hard time, especially with the bulge in the middle, getting this toy to stay in place and hit the spots I wanted and I was entirely unable to get it to stimulate my g-spot in the slightest. I wouldn't say that this item is discreet enough for travel, if anyone happened to come across it, they would know what it is immediately, despite the fact that it's not a realistic shape.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Overall, I was pleased with the functions of the Dream Massager G. One of the main reasons that led me to purchase this particular toy (aside from the reviews) was the waterproof and dial features. I wanted something that would be easy to use and wouldn't require too much thought to control and this was it. The dial allows you to go from a subtle, fairly quiet vibration to a strong, deep vibration. Unfortunately, as you turn up the vibrations, the sound also increases to the point that you can hear it through a closed door. I found that most of the vibrations were located at the base, though you could certainly feel them up through the length of the vibrator. The waterproof feature worked extremely well. I haven't had any issues with water breaching the seal, even when fully submitted, so I have to say it functions great in water.

Care and Maintenance

This toy was extremely easy to care for. It can be cleaned using just soap and water, with toy wipes, or a variety of other toy cleaners. I wound up storing this in a plastic box to help keep it clean between uses, but I always make sure to clean it before and after use anyways, because you can never be too safe. The material makes it easy to use with other toys and especially with lube because it can be used with pretty much any type, though I think it worked best with water-based lubes, which I tend to prefer.

Packaging

The toy comes in a standard, flimsy plastic packaging. I didn't receive any instructions or a user manual with the vibrator like other reviewers have and the packaging made it obvious what it was, so I definitely wouldn't use it as a gift box. I also wouldn't bother using the package as storage due to how flimsy it is. We wound up just throwing the package away upon arrival.

Overall, I wasn't satisfied with this particular toy, but I would probably recommend it to others because body types are all different. Just because it didn't work for me, wouldn't mean that it wouldn't work for someone else. I'd definitely have to recommend it to someone who has a larger frame and isn't a first time user.

Congrats on your first review! It was very well done considering it was your first. The only thing I am not 100% sure about is when you started talking about body sizes.. I believe I had read something in the forums that mentioned that body size does not have any relation to how big or small of an insertable product a person could use. When I find that information, I'll link you to it! Anyway, thanks again for your review, and good job!

sktbooo7 is absolutely correct, whether you are larger framed or smaller framed doesn't mean your vaginal canal will be more elastic or less! The vagina is a muscle with differing ability to stretch which is where you get discomfort from penetration. Also sexual activity doens't permanently "stretch" the muscles of the vagina...so it really is biology that determines how "tight" you are.

  • Battery Problem HELP!!!!

      It was tricky to place the batteries since it was difficult to push it down. Now its STUCK!!!!! Does anybody know how to remove them? I tried pushing them down a little further so the springs could push back, but didn't work. It sucks b/c my vibrator's new ;(
    • Maybe a pair of pliers if they're sticking up at all?
    • As a last resort, you could super glue a dowel or rod to the battery and pull it out.
