It IS Basic

The Intimate Basics Paris IS worth it if you are just starting to get into using toys in the bedroom. The vibrations were intense, and it has a good length. Girth, not so much.

Use

The Intimate Basics Paris is an OK vibe. Very soft and velvety, and can be used on numerous parts of the body. It is made to be a g-spot or a clitoral stimulator. I received the most pleasure from using it as a clitoral or nip stimulator. The tip is a bit pointy but it can still make you climax if you work it just right. The ribbed shaft provides an extra boost of pleasure when inserting it into your vagina. I didn't receive much g-spot stimulation from the Paris, but I received enough to notice it. A few drops of lube goes a long way with the Paris, especially if you are already excited. Even though it is not that great of a g-spot vibrator, I still like it because of the various places you can use it,and the powerful vibrations. More on those later...

I have used this alone, as well as with my husband and we both love it. It is waterproof so that allows for some fun shower play, too.

Material / Texture

The Paris had no apparent smell when I took it out of the package, and that in itself, is a huge plus! The Paris is made out of hard plastic and is velvety smooth to the touch. The ribbed shaft provides extra stimulation while inserting it into your vagina. The tip of the Paris is slightly curved to allow for g-spot stimulation, but it could, in my opinion, be curved a bit more. It is hypo-allergenic, latex-free, and phthalate free.

Design / Shape / Size

The Intimate Basics Paris, is just that. Basic. It is made of hard plastic, and is velvety to the touch. It is 8 inches, with 7 inches being insertable with a 3 3/4 inch circumference. The design could be better, I would prefer a bigger girth, as it is a little small. It is supposed to be a g-spot or clitoral stimulator, but I received the most gratification from using it on my clit. The toy is relatively easy to hide, not very discreet though. If someone was to see it, they'd know exactly what it was.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Paris has a turn dial on the end of it to adjust vibration. The vibrations range from light to very powerful and are equally felt all throughout the shaft. The tip is a bit too pointy, could be more rounded. The dial is easy to use, even with wet fingers. It has a good, strong vibration, but it is quite loud. The fact that it is waterproof is what made me give it 4 stars. It seems to feel better in the water, rather than out.
    • Easy to use
    • Not discreet at all
    • Powerful

Care and Maintenance

Very easy to clean, I just use a regular toy cleaner on it. It is stored in my 'toy box' in its own silk bag. Can be used with a lubricant, I use it with a water based lube.

Packaging

Simple and easy to open clear plastic packaging, so you know exactly what is in there. No instructions included.
    • Minimal
    • Not discreet

My first impression was too slender and pointy. That won't feel good in the vagina!

Not a bad first review! You left out some details but I'm sure you'll get them in the future. You might want to consider joining the Mentor Program. They'll help you with your reviews and you'll learn what to include with every product. For example, you didn't mention what kind of batteries this takes or where and how well they go in. Good review, nonetheless.
