Jenna's velvet jewels royal - traditional vibrator discontinued by Doc Johnson - review by Darling Dove

When I first saw this toy- the first day I got it, I thought it was the cutest thing ever. To some girls, myself being one of them, visual appeal means a lot in a toy. The second thing I noticed about this toy was its texture, it's exquisitely smooth, like velvet. It feels great just running across your skin. This makes it WONDERFUL for foreplay, alone or with friends. The other thing that surprised me was, for the price, with batteries in this toy has a good, solid and hefty feel to it. It really feels like it wont break, and so far, after months of owning it, it hasn't yet.

I'd bought this plastic vibe|Plastic Vibrator in a large batch of others, and this was probably the first I actually got around to trying. It's vibration is quite nice, though a bit loud for my tastes, and the smooth, slender curve is perfect for hitting any and all of your spots. It also works wonderfully used on your clit, the smooth texture is very very soft and gentle, even if you do go a little overboard- use lube, and you'll be fine.

That said, the length of this toy always leaves me wanting more. You can't really use the whole toy, or you'll get the gems all messy and it'll be hell to clean up. This thought always kept me from really letting go and getting as much as I could out of the toy, and I'm not even close to being a size queen. I simply feel it's too small for more experienced toy owners. Perhaps girls who know they are a bit smaller inside could enjoy this toy more, or first-time owners.

There are, however, some glaring issues with this toy that affect it enough to make it something I have a hard time coming back to. This toy is waterproof, and as such, it SHOULD be easy to clean- but, due to the jewels, and the deep gap in-between the screw-on battery cap and toy itself, it's got quite a few places for dirt to hide. When I get a plastic toy, since I don't use my toys on other people, I look forward to something I can quickly wash, dry, and put away after use. But with this toy, I always feel like SOMETHING is amiss- This isn't helped at all by the fact that on my model, the super glue used to hold the stones on was applied rather sloppily, and it leaves it looking dirty around the gems no matter WHAT I do.

I do love this toy- at least, I want to. But it's so hard to love something you'll be obsessively cleaning every nook and cranny of, or attempting to, for 10 minutes when you can barely walk straight.

All in all it's not like I feel it was a waste of money, in fact I do use this toy a lot, but mostly for foreplay, since the hassle of cleaning it obsessively for fear of germs after use is a bit much for me.
