Just Need A Little Chroma In My Life

This discreet vibrator is very well worth the purchase. It's pocket-sized for travel, insanely quiet, powerful, waterproof, and all around attractive to look at. It could really work well for just about anyone so I think any interested parties should get one!

Use

I know there's quite a few reviews of this wonderful little mini-vibrator but I was so impressed with it I just had to review it myself.

The little chroma is a beautiful aluminum pocket vibrator that will work for women, men, gender-queer, old or young, solo or partner play. Honestly this little beauty can do most anything. It's completely waterproof and is able to be completely submerged in water. It can be sterilized with a quick rubdown of 10% bleach solution, soap, or toy cleaner so you can share it with others or even switch from vaginal play one day to anal the next. The pinpoint vibrations also make it great for external stimulation on non-genital areas of the body. It can even be warmed up or cooled down for extra sensations! An all-around winner!

Material / Texture

The aluminum body is more than just beautiful, it's a fabulous medium for pleasure. It can be sterilized, shared, completely submerged, warmed, cooled, used externally and internally, and makes it look like downright fancy. When the battery is removed, it actually looks like a mini flashlight or a very thick pen (but without the necessary bulb or ink, of course).

There is no texture and is completely smooth to the touch. Though if you rub your hand up and down on it, it makes a quiet, high pitched noise. (Yes, I played with it for a while and found myself quite amused.) There is no smell or taste and you'll never have that problem as long as you wash it thoroughly after each use.

This toy is great for beginners to vibrators because there are no advanced textures or features and it's rather discreet. But advanced users, watch out! This little chroma could really stimulate you too! Perhaps try blindfolding your partner and touching the tip of the little chroma to the body part of your choice. In fact, cool it down or warm it up to add extra fun!

Design / Shape / Size

First I have to say that my "red" Little Chroma looks more... dark pink? Reddish pink? Not that it's a real downside, mind you, but the color on the box is a cherry red and that's more of what I expected in my toy. But it's gorgeous nonetheless.

I love the removable (and replaceable!) motor! The vibrations travel through the entire toy and depending on how much surface area you apply or where on the toy you touch, you can adjust the sensations. I thought I'd be disappointed with only one speed but I really wasn't!

What else do I love? The size of the Little Chroma! I can put it in my pocket, in my underwear, leave it next to the laptop, or in my sock drawer and I have no issues concealing it or worrying about shocking some unsuspecting friend or family member. Well, as long as they don't turn it on. Then it's their own fault.

Yes this toy is travel-friendly but don't walk through a metal detector with it. Yeah, you've been warned.

Functions / Performance / Controls

To use this vibrator, just add a single AA battery, twist on the cap until it stops turning, and have fun! To turn it off, you untwist the cap enough to stop the vibrations but not enough to remove the battery (or just remove the battery, your choice).

The only difficulty is that if you're all sticky with lube or other fluids and you want to wash your Little Chroma, you need to either wash it while it's still vibrating to avoid opening the cap and getting all that gunk inside the battery compartment. Or you have to wash your hands, wipe down the cap end of the toy, remove the battery, re-tighten the cap, and then proceed with the thorough cleaning. Honestly, just wash it while it's vibrating. After all, it doesn't take much to clean this little guy. Mild soap and warm water is enough or you can even get fancy and use a cleaning wipe. If you have a fragile sink basin though, don't drop your toy!

Also worth noting is that I'm running on the same single battery I started out with last week. And considering my sessions aren't that short, I'm pretty impressed at what a single battery can do while maintaining the same intensity of vibration.

Care and Maintenance

Is it easy to clean? Is it easy to store? Is it compatible with different lubes?

Yes, yes, and YES! Need more reasons to love this discreet vibrator? Ok, I'll give it to you.

This toy won't react with any lubricants, can be cleaned with any solution, won't warp if stored with other toys or outside of its original box, can fit in small places, and if the motor dies it's replaceable.

The only things you should avoid under this heading is boiling and dishwasher use. Clean it anyway but those.

Packaging

The Little Chroma comes in a cute little box. It's great for gifting and conservative enough not to embarrass the lucky friend to receive it since there's no naked people on it. The information placed on the box as well as inside the packet is actually impressive. The information in this toy surpasses most other toys I've ever received.

And even those the box is larger than necessary for storing this cute Little Chroma, it would make an excellent storage container and have extra room for lubricants or condoms.

Oh and the battery is included! What other perk could you ask for? I call it instant gratification. And yes, I did use it immediately. <3

Personal comments

Some safety precautions:

Don't use this in or near the water without completely screwing the cap on. You'll kill your Little Chroma.

Use caution when engaging in anal play because with its small size and no flared or hooked base, it can easily be lost in the anal canal.

Don't leave the battery in the vibrator for more than a few days without use because battery leakage can ruin your toy too.

And finally, read the instructions that come with the toy because they were actually written very, very well and are surprisingly useful.
Follow-up commentary
"Like" is not a strong enough word for how I feel about this toy. Yes, it's expensive. And yes, it's not as powerful as a wand massager. But I would buy this little jewel again if I had to start over because all of its lovely uniqueness, silent (and replaceable) motor, wonderful aluminum, completely waterproof, travel-friendly self is so much to love. It's one of my favorite and most luxurious pieces in my collection and it will go with me on any trip I'll be taking! (Oh and my first batteries have yet to die! Not bad at all!)

      I have bought 2. The first chipped on concrete while transporting it to my boyfriends house. I think it had repeated shocks to the motor because I was dropping it while I was getting out of the bath. Then the motor became noisy and not so effective. I moved on to my eroscillator for a while, but eventually I bought another little choma because I missed it so much. So yes, I think it is worth it. And if you look after it it will look after you. Tie a strap around the end of the little chroma if you're going to use it in the shower so then you won't drop it. This is easily done, there are holes for such a strap. If transporting it elsewhere keep it in a nice safe pouch. Don't grab it on the way out of the house without putting it away in your bag anyhow. You may regret it later.

      As far as vibrators go, my clitoris is an extremely fussy girl. I can get off with the eroscillator or the little chroma, but anything else has honestly been rather a difficult endeavour. I've tried decent bullets and pocket rockets and traditional vibrators but none has come close. I've tried a vibrator with weird patterns. Honestly, all you need is this one speed. It varies in intensity across the shaft. The little chroma has a decent power at a discreet noise level. It also has a beautiful hard smoothness and doesn't cause irritation. As goldilocks would say 'It's just right'. Just make sure your batteries are charged (the only ones that fit are eneloop), or get some fresh non-rechargable ones before you judge its power.

      Plus they are pretty!

    • So I've been looking into Jimmyjane more and more the past few months after all the hype finally got to me. The toy that seems to tickle my fancy the most would be the little chroma. The whole high quality, small, sleek, simple, quiet, waterproof, metal thing really gets me going. However, the sexiest version of the toy for me is the steel version *pictures it sitting innocently next to my mac, complemented by the brushed steel lamp on the bedside table*, which costs a whopping $195. Now, I'm okay with spending the money on a single toy, as long as it's the right toy. Trouble is, I've been to maybe 12 adult toy stores in three different cities around my state, NC, and not only did the majority of them not carry Jimmyjane toys, the only ones that did were adam and eve and although the chain carries a few of the toys, the specific stores did not. What's worse, some of the other stores had never even heard of Jimmyjane. And yeah, it took some effort to not exclaim "and you do this for a living?!?!" Anyways...

      Not being able to see, touch, test/witness the vibration of the toys before hand is a big problem to me, especially when dealing with such expensive toys.

      Does anyone have any idea where I can get my hands on any of their friggin products? I mean sheesh, I'd be willing to make a minitrip to a surrounding state for funzies at this point. SEX TOY ROADTRIP! I just have to lay my eyes on em, ya know? Sneaky little things... Has anyone else had the same experience with not being able to find them?

      Or can anyone who owns a little chroma/little something offer a more specific comparison of power to some other more available and comparable toy? I've read all the reviews on this site as well as others. I just want something more like, "at the strongest point it feels similar in intensity to the (#) setting of (manufacturer)'s (toy name)." If that's at all possible...
