LAYAspot sex toy review

The LAYAspot is a well-designed vibrator but it does not provide much in the way of sensation. If you only need gentle vibrations and like high-frequency "buzzy" vibrators such as the Wahl, the many different settings and "pulse" mode can offer a lot of variety.

Pros:
elegant design, "pulse" function, very quiet.
Cons:
too gentle.

useful review
The LAYAspot certainly has the "cool" factor going for it, with its stylish design and gentle curves, looking almost futuristic. (I picked out the red and silver one.) What originally drew me to this toy was the intriguing variety of vibration - from low to high, and then, 3 levels of "pulse" vibration. What would that feel like?

I couldn't at first figure out which end I was supposed to use, but the great thing is, it didn't matter. It fit well in my hand, and the buttons were intuitive. I suspected that the end closest to the controls was the "front", but I found the silver end to provide more stimulation. Unfortunately, more was not enough, not by a long shot. This vibrator has 8 levels of vibration, from "barely there" to "frustrating". The three levels of "pulse" turned out to be just what it sounded like: alternating no vibration with a pulse of vibration. The highest "pulse" setting seemed to be higher than the highest "vibration" level, but that could just be due to the contrast. Nevertheless, I found none of it successfully brought me to orgasm. Furthermore, the LAYAspot seems to be a high-frequency vibrator, providing a higher-pitched "buzzy" feeling. I tend to like lower-pitched vibrators, but if you like the Wahl, for example, this may be a good vibrator for you.

I know in the directions they tell you that this is not an insertable toy, but I have been perverting phallic objects since I was 12 and I wasn't about to stop now. Just in case, though, I put it in a condom to protect it, even though it is waterproof. After a little bit of experimentation, I found it felt incredible to have the silver end against my g-spot, going at the most intense "pulse" setting. It really felt like someone had tucked their fingers in my vagina and was rhythmically stimulating me. What a wonderful sensation. Unfortunately, though, its shape meant that it tended to slip out very easily, making it somewhat frustrating to use.

So, I didn't find the LAYAspot to be useful for getting me off . (I suspect that I tend to need more stimulation than most women, though.) I don't tend to worry too much about the noise, but if you do, this is the quietest vibrator I own. I can barely hear it, even at the most intense setting. If you don't need much vibration, the LAYAspot is a lovely toy. If you do, however, I would recommend getting something much stronger.

Wow, is it just me, or has the price of this thing really gone up?  Didn't it used to be like $44?  Yikes!

Hi there guys -

Unfortunately, the economy has even affected the adult business. Rising costs across the board have forced Fun Factory to up their costs, and by proxy, ours. We strive to bring you the lowest prices we are able, and will naturally continue to do so in the future.

I would recommend signing up for the newsletter, as we often have sales on various items and the specials we offer are a great way to save!

A $4 doesn't really seem like too much of a change, at least it doesn't to me.

I meant a $4 increase in the price doesn't seem like a huge deal.

So my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy?
    • reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.
    • it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

  • LayaSpot Questions
    • So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.

Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?

Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).

Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?

Just looking for different experiences with these things..

I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I have since pitched my instructions, but I think mine said splashproof rather than waterproof. I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.
