Layaspot Today, Orgasm Sometime Tomorrow
When I first received the Layaspot, made by the Fun Factory, I was expecting a whole lot of 'WOW' in a little package. I've read reviews upon reviews that made the Layaspot seem like a paramount addition to any girls toy collection. In truth all I got was a little package, and a lot of disappointment.Published: August 31, 2009
Pros:
Size, ergonomic contours, skin-friendly, easily controlled settings, quiet.
Cons:
Easy to mistakenly put batteries in wrong, isn't as powerful as it feels against your hand.
When I first received the Layaspot, made by the Fun Factory, I was expecting a whole lot of 'WOW' in a little package. I've read reviews upon reviews that made the Layaspot seem like a paramount addition to any girls toy collection. In truth all I got was a little package, and a lot of disappointment.
Conceptually, the Layaspot seemed ideal for a clitoral vibrator. It has an ergonomic handle, designed to naturally fit the curve of your palm, and its contours also allow it to sit comfortably on your pubic mound for a delightful hands-free partner or solo session. It comes in a variety of fun color combinations, and uses two (2) AAA batteries. Surprisingly, it wasn't loud for a toy of its size and “power”, and is easily concealed under covers or behind closed doors. Unlike similar toys where you have a dial-base, the Layaspot has two easy to use buttons that simply allow you to either press the + to increase, and then – to decrease the vibes.
My personal experience with this product was obviously different from others. The seemingly powerful seven speeds of vibrations, and even the three levels of pulsing vibrations was not enough to get me to orgasm. I also tried it in conjunction with several of my other toys, as well as my husband's dick, to no avail. We tried it in a variety of different positions to see if that would make a difference (missionary, doggy-style, and the cat in the cradle), but the lack of maximum stimulation frustrated me.
In contrast to other toys, the Layaspot didn't overheat when used for long periods of time. You need to make sure that the batteries are in place correctly, and that the screw-on bottom is also properly aligned, otherwise the toy will look like its functioning, but you will not be able to adjust or turn on the vibrations. I struggled with this simple fact for several minutes before begrudgingly handing to over to my husband to fix.
The Layaspot is made from Elastomed, so silicone and water-based lubricants are fine. To clean is easy also: a toy cleaner and water will have your toy clean to use in no time.

waiting and wanting!

RadRachSo my partner and i decided to check out this site and order a bunch of new items. I just ordered the LAYAspot and it should be here friday! Ehh i cant wait! How does everyone feel about this cute toy? -
reading the MANY many reviews on the toy will give you a good idea about the overall feelings and consensus of the toys.

it's nice that there are so many user submitted reviews on this site. it's so hard to choose a toy, especially an expensive one, with only the manufacturer description.

LayaSpot Questions
-
So, I just posted a review of this toy on my blog and and am rereading some reviews here. I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.
Some reviewers state that this is a waterproof toy but my instructions clearly state that it is only splashproof. Perhaps the instructions have changed? Maybe Fun Factory decided it wasn't really waterproof? If you have this toy, what did your instructions say?
Furthermore, a few people said that they received silicone based BodyFluid with their LayaSpot but I received their water based lube and, again, my instructions said not to use silicone based lube (I believe, can't find them).
Also, I think it's just me but my Layaspot pretty much smelled god awful when I got it. Anyone else?
Just looking for different experiences with these things.. -

I am seeing some discrepencies and have a few questions for you.I've heard that fun factory toys can stink to high heaven, and I have no idea why they would because they're supposed to be 100% silicone. I have other silicone toys and they don't smell at all. Maybe it's not the toy itself but the packaging that surrounds it? Sorry I'm not much help, but the smell that people talk about with FF toys is enough for me to be wary of buying one.

I got the Toyfluid (water-based) lube, and mine was smell-free! All of my FF toys have been totally odorless, actually.

Thank you for viewing LAYAspot – sex toy review page!

It's a shame you didn't like the layaspot.
Just for the record, though, it's elastomed, not silicone and silicone lubes are fine with elastomed.
Crap, I thought the package said Silicone. Sorry!
The package does. Isn't that odd? I just got a new one (my old one broke. boo) and the package says silicone but the fun factory site as well as eden's material list both say elastomed.
Makes it hard to be accurate at times.
Weird, I know.
I just got one from elsewhere and my box is labeled 100% elastomed. Maybe they changed it to silicone and didn't mention it?
I think the older boxes actually are the ones that say silicone.
Both of mine are the exact same material, but only this box said silicone -- and it's in a color combo that is no longer available, so it's obviously an older one.
You said it's not really powerful but you gave it 4 vrooms, why is that?
Thanks!
I would agree that this isn't the most powerful toy ever but the shape did wonders for me. I've used it as sort of a.. clit dildo frequently.
Sorry you did not like this
Good review. Pitty you didnt find it very powerful. Has it grown on you more with time at all?
very good, very good. Thank you
Thanks for writing this review. I was really let down by my LAYAspot too
