Well this was my first toy from my mentor, and also my first free toy. This was also my first light up toy. I was not sure what to think about it when I first got it. I was trying to find time to use it. So today was that day I decided I was horny and I remembered that the Cal Exotics Lighted Shimmers Bliss is water proof so I took it in the shower with me. I received mine in pink although I would have liked the purple one, but I am not complaining.

This toy can be used alone or for partner play. It is good for clitoral stimulation. Would be great for beginners and you never know that advanced person just might get a kick out of it as well. Have not tried it in the dark yet, but when I have the privacy to do it I will give it a try.

The Lighted Shimmers Bliss by Cal Exotics is made of plastic which on the Safety scale is rated 8. It has a smooth texture to it that would be perfect for beginners. It is a food-grade material, hypo-allergenic, latex free, non-porous and phthalate free. I did not detect a smell to it when I took it out the plastic bag.

Remember you will not be able to sterilize this as it is plastic so don't go putting it in the dish washer or it will melt. If you wanted to share this toy it would be best to use a condom.

This product can be used with water based, silicone based and oil based lubricants. This does not have a base so it would not be good for anal use.

When you take the Shimmer out of the package it may look a little weird at first, and you will probably say to yourself "How is something so odd looking supposed to do the job?". It is bubbly at the top of the head of the Shimmer.

The length is 7 1/4". It is only insertable up to 5 3/4". It would be good someone who wants to try out a high powered vibe for the first time, or for stimulation play. When inserted I would only go up to where the battery compartment is.

The Lighted Shimmers Bliss is waterproof; I actually used it in the shower and it performed well. I was kind of scared to use it in the water being my first water vibe. It has light indicators with the speeds that you choose, and is very powerful.

It also has a dial base control and is powered by two double-A batteries. I would make sure to have some fresh ones handy, let's just say I used mine with some rechargeable ones that I have and since the vibe is so powerful I noticed my light starting to dim before the vibe started to go down. I did get to finish up before it completely went out.

Since I used mine in the shower, I rinsed it off beforehand with some soap and water. You can probably use some wipes or cleaning solution with it. After I was done I dried it off with a towel that was handy and placed it back in the plastic bag it came in and back in the box.

When I received my Shimmers Bliss, It was in a pretty pink and black box. The box had a picture of the Bliss on the front showing it lit up, and on the back a pic of it showing it while it is not lit up. The box is ok in size, but would not be good for gift giving in the open. When I opened up the box the Shimmer was in a clear plastic bag with a little piece of paper in the bag showing you how to unscrew and put in the batteries: it did not have words, only pics. On the back of the box it tells about the Bliss and some instructions on how to use it.

So I had myself some solo play in the shower (which it is perfect for), and it drowned out the noise so no one could hear what I was doing. It could be a little on the loud side if you were trying to be discreet about it. If you were to turn up the TV or put on some music it would not be heard.

I liked how it lit up and how powerful it was. I started it off at a high speed, next time I know better than to do that as I am very sensitive in my clit area. So I had to turn it down. I then inserted it in myself, I was in shower so I did not use any lube with it as I was moist down there already. It slipped in pretty smoothly. After that I proceeded back to my clit with it, I actually like it for clitoral stimulation more then I like it inside of me. When I came it was amazing.

I am glad this was my first light up toy. I can't wait to try it with a partner, even though I had fun using it for clitoral play all on my lonesome. I did try it on my tits to see how it felt and I did not really feel anything. I don't know if it is me, I am not to fond of tit play but will try anything to see if it works. That may be different for someone else. I did also try it at my anus and it felt OK.
