Clitoral vibrator discontinued

Looked intriguing, but that's where the intrigue ended...

If you're looking at this product because it looks different from other toys you've seen and you think it might do something unique, you'll be disappointed. It does nothing more than pretty much any vibrator out there. The vibration level at its highest isn't very powerful. The design and shape of the toy hinders the ability to provide pressure to one particular area or to be able to move the toy around to massage.

extremely useful review
I was looking for something different. Face it, once you get a collection of toys going, they all start fitting into a few basic categories and it's hard to find something truly unique. So I saw this one and was intrigued. The shape was different. The fact that it claims to fit into the palm of your hand and "softly pocket your entire clitoral zone" seemed interesting. And it's from Doc Johnson - a company well known for quality toys.

The packing is a clear plastic type box with writing on it proclaiming what's supposed to be so great about this product. It contains a small instruction pamphlet; although, I'm not convinced this was written specifically for this product and not just thrown in with anything that could be considered a "vibrator". It mostly had to do with battery installation (it takes 2 AA batteries). But it also talked about lubricating it to insert it gently into the vagina or anus. Okay, maybe it's just me, but the shape of this toy does not appear conducive to inserting it into any part of a body.

I opened the box and removed the product, which was nestled in more plastic. The main part of the product is the "softee bullet" type thing. The palm part is about 3 1/4" long and 1 1/4" wide. The clitoral cup portion is about 2 1/4" long and not quite 1" wide. The entire piece is about 1 3/4" thick. It says it's made of ABS / TPR. It feels like a hard plastic with a soft silicone-feel outer part. There is a long wire approximately 36" long permanently attached to this piece. The plastic control box that the wire plugs into feels kind of cheap. The batteries are fairly easy to insert - you just push and pull the cover off. It states it's "multi-speed" and it is, but it's just a dial to turn it up and down. Even at the highest setting, the vibration is not all that powerful.

To use, apply a water-based lubricant. You are supposed to hold the larger portion in the palm of your hand and place it over clitoral area and apparently, that's supposed to do the trick; it doesn't. With nothing except unimpressive vibration, it barely even turned me on. You have to provide some movement in addition, which is difficult when it sort of cups your clitoris. Some texture, such as nubs, may have helped. But as it is, it's perfectly smooth. Also, due to the "cupping" design, you can't really move it into a position to provide increased pressure in a certain area. Eventually, it has managed to "get me there"; but, as it takes me a little while to climax in the best of situations, I was looking for something to help it along, not to make it take longer. This toy basically does nothing that a regular vibrator can't do. There are no bells and whistles to make it appealing over the use of a good, multi-function vibrator with stronger vibrations.

A few little details: This product is easy to clean with soap and water or with a water-based toy cleaner. There is no odor to it. And it is pretty quiet.

This does look intriguing - too bad it isn't more powerful.
