Lucid dream No. 14 by Doc Johnson

I wanted the Lucid Dream No. 14 mainly because it looked different than most of the toys in my collection. First of all, I LOVED the orange color, so different from so many sex toys on the market. And I’m a sucker for toys with the motor in the head. These features, combined with the bulbous head and slim shaft made this a must-have for me.

The Lucid Dream 14 proved both enjoyable in some ways, and a disappointment in others. The two AA batteries, for some strange reason, don’t provide a whole lot of power to the motor, perhaps because it’s quite large. So the vibrations are sufficient, but they didn’t rock my world, even at higher settings.

The control is a dial at the base of the toy, ribbed for a good grip and very easy to use. My main problem with the toy came in the large size and angle of the head. Honestly, I found it quite difficult to insert, even with a lot of lube. However, with some arousal and relaxation, I was able to get the toy inserted, and things became a lot easier from there.

The shaft tapers quite narrowly at the base of the head, which is comfortable sitting in the vaginal opening. Once inserted, the head is large enough to provide extreme internal and g-spot coverage and stimulation. It’s not, in my opinion, a toy designed for thrusting, but would be good for those starting to explore the g-spot region since it covers such a wide area.

The Lucid Dream #14 is a very hefty toy, weighty and seeming very solidly constructed - no loose wires or flimsy connections here! It is also waterproof, which is always a nice feature and adds versatility to any toy. Overall, after the insertion process is over, the only problem I have with this toy is that I could wish the motor to be a little stronger. On the plus side, the toy is virtually silent, even at top speed, and can be used very discreetly.

After reading the other reviews of this product, I began to wonder if mine might have some sort of defect in the motor. It seemed it was either that, or I was the biggest "Power Queen" on earth! I tried fresh batteries, but with no better success. Perplexed and frustrated, I went down to my local toy shop that lets you examine the toys with batteries before you buy them, and found that their model did seem to have a lot more "oomph" in the motor. The extra power definitely raises this product to a *** or **** rating!
