Magic Orgasm Wand? No. Super Kegel Stick? Yes!

So long as you don't expect this to be an end-all super automatic orgasm device, you shouldn't be disappointed. Kegels are good for your body and regardless of whether you get pleasure from this device, time spent using it is worthwhile. I am thrilled with the ability it has to make me kegel harder and better than I can do myself because eventually I should be able to do those deep kegels on my own. This is a well-thought-out device and I am happy with mine.

When I removed my Jopen Intensity from the box and plastic, it smelled like horseradish. It took me a while to figure out what it smelled like; the smell was so familiar, and it wasn't offensive, but it was definitely misplaced. I used an Eden Wipe to clean it off and, while it smelled less like horseradish, it was still pretty potent. Even after a half dozen uses and cleanings, I can still faintly smell it on the handle part.

Just a warning in case you are sensitive to smells. Mine was really smelly.

This is a large, pink device. It is not a thrusting toy, nor is it anything you can be rough with. It is about a foot long (12 inches), which is the length of my forearm. Had I not read the reviews that showed other peoples' pictures, I would have been intimidated. It comes with two metal electrodes on either side of the shaft (insertable shaft length is about six inches) and the base is a really strange shape due to the inflation pump. The shaft on mine wiggles slightly, and the silicone around the electrodes seems thin and potentially easily damaged.

I would suggest turning this device on and getting a good feel for the buttons prior to insertion because the angle in which this has to stay inside your body can get really awkward and, since two of the buttons are in charge of the shocking part that is inside your lady bits, it'd be wise to know where those are and how to decrease the power. It only takes four (4) AAA batteries but the shock potential is incredible. I know this because I grabbed the shaft while it was on; don't do this.

There are five buttons on the front / base part - power (on/off), two controls for the vibration (increase/decrease), and two controls for the electrodes (increase/decrease). On the underside, there is a black button and a bulbous bulge. If you squeeze the bulge, you can see the shaft inflate; this is to make sure the electrodes touch two sides of the vagina at the same time. To deflate, push the black button. I would suggest keeping it inflated (or reinflating it) to clean since the shaft has folds that can collect schmutz. When inflated, mine is about the width of three fingers.

The material (silicone) can be a little grabby so water-based lube might be a good idea. You get a small tube of electrode gel (which contains Reverse Osmosis (RO) Water, Humectant Polymers (acrylic acid/cellulose polymer), Propylparaben, Methylparaben, FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Yellow #5) which is basically blue-ish goop that goes on each electrode before insertion. I used the container itself to spread the goop because, well, it's goopy. I used a pea-sized dab on each side and spread it with the mouth of the container and it worked just fine and kept my hands goop-free.

To clean off the water-based lube and electrode goop, just carefully clean the shaft with a wipe or with a mix of gentle soap and water. Because the shaft on mine is wiggly, I want to be extra careful while cleaning so I simply used an Eden Wipe or two. This is NOT waterproof so do not immerse in water or get water onto the base or you might ruin it.

On the front is a little arm with wiggly fingers that is supposed to be a clitoral stimulating device; you don't need to lube this and it's controlled by the vibration controls. Mine is bendable but it doesn't stay bent - it seems you are kind of stuck with where it is unless you push it out of the way. If it doesn't work for you, location-wise, you can just avoid the vibrating buttons and not worry about it. I tried the vibrations at first but found the toy was much easier to use without them due to the positioning issue.
Experience
I was really excited to get this because I *kind of* expected to put it in me, turn it on, and experience an endless orgasm every time. I have yet to have any as a direct result of having this device inside me.

HOWEVER!

However, after adjusting the settings to my liking - which is about 5 or 6 - I can roll myself over onto my belly carefully and read a book while I kegel effortlessly. For an hour. That makes this completely worth it for me because kegeling is important and I don't do nearly enough of it. I also love multitasking. Homework with a kegel-stick buried in my vagina? That's my kind of weekend, there.

A caveat to the "rolling over" part of my review, here - you MUST turn this thing off before removing it from your vagina. You must. It delivers a hearty shock to unsuspecting parts if you slide it out while it's still on. This means you have to be especially diligent about keeping it positioned while you turn over.

At level 5 and 6 I get deep, deep muscle contractions where I can't even do them myself. It seems to create a pattern of small contraction, small contraction, large, deep contraction. I am especially thrilled that it can make muscles move where I can't because it means it's definitely doing a good job up there. I have not gone above six because I am a little scared of anything higher; scared because either I think it will hurt or perhaps it will desensitize my muscles so that I will be forced to use level 10 sooner rather than later.

I used mine without the added vibration setting on. There was so little sound coming from it with just the electrodes on that I would feel comfortable using it under the covers with someone else in the room. With the vibrations, it's pretty loud and I'm sure you could hear it through the door.

I would love love LOVE it if it were rechargeable; heck, I'd even take it if it were a plug-in model. It's worth it even if you have to stay within cord range. Ah well, I'll just keep buying batteries.

Yes I agree! It's a big downside for me to have to use batteries. I really wish they would create a simplier rechargeable kegel stick, designed for that specific function. I'd really buy that. The shape/color/size of this one is a huge turn off to me.
    Thanks for the review though!
