Maybe a little too much too soon??
All in all, if you're trying to find something that is not intimidating for a first time user, then this toy is not for you!Published: January 1, 2010
Pros:
Pretty.
Cons:
A little large for a first time user.
I personally have never used vaginal exercisers before, and I figured these might be a good start based on all the great reviews that they got. The fact that they were attached to the stretchy loop made it seem a lot safer to me. However, when I opened the packaging, I was absolutely shocked by how large they were. The color of them is very feminine and cute, and the loop was long enough that I felt safer that I wouldn't lose them HAHA. I could feel the vibrations when I rolled it around in my hand. However cute they may be though, it didn't take away from the fact that they just seemed way too large to carry them around in my vagina!
So I figured I may as well try them since I bought the damn things. Insertion was really difficult, and once they were inside me, I just had a very full and strange feeling down south. So I took a couple steps around and really didn't feel much in the way of the vibrations. The only good thing about the experience was taking them out and replacing them in my drawer! This toy was cute yet intimidating, and an uncomfortable toy all around.
There really isn't much I can say about this toy as far as the plus side goes. It was very nicely packaged and came with a small packed of personal massage gel. It has a very cute and feminine color. And sorry but that is about it!
It is possible that this toy was just too much too soon, so I guess if you are experienced with these then it might be a good choice. But I wouldn't recommend them to a first time user like myself. I was very disappointed that I bought this item at all, hopefully better luck next time!
This toy is made of "elastomed" which is a non-porous and soft material. The balls can be bent at the gap between balls so they can shift to the specifications of different bodies. The balls were soft and nice feeling to the touch, and generally seemed like a great and safe choice. After the one time I tried to use this toy, I washed it according to the instructions, with antibacterial cleaner and warm water. They are very easy to clean up, which was the nicest part.
This toy did not have any rubbery smell and still does not have any strange smell. The material allows the toy to be durable and sturdy, yet soft and pliable. It is hypo-allergenic, and therefore much safer for your body.
As I researched the typical size and different kinds of Kegel exercisers I found the reason for the large size of these balls. These are considered "smart balls" in reference to the soft coating that continues over the bridge between the balls. Typically smart balls and duotone balls as well as going to be much larger than the regular Ben Wa Balls. I guess this is just typical for these kinds of Kegel exercisers. The Ben Wa Balls are supposedly much smaller, and therefore more dense so they can removed with the assistance of gravity.
These balls are 1 3/8" in diameter and 4 1/2" long. I found that to be just way too large for daily use. But possibly a better choice for a beginner because your vaginal muscles are not working as hard to keep the balls inside.

Sizes of PC balls
-
I just skimmed through another review for Smart Balls, and was wondering.. what's best for PC exercise? Small balls, right? I assume, the smaller they are, the more effort you'd have to put into keeping them in.
Also, what about the ones that are loose? Is it a good idea to just put two random balls up there? Has anyone ever had a problem getting them/one out? -

The Smartballs aren't very small, and don't take much effort (if any) to keep in. Same goes for the Luna Beads (which are just a tad smaller than the Smartballs).

I also have glass ben wa balls, as well as tiny metal ones. I've never really had problems with the glass ones randomly falling out (the only ones to ever do that were the metal, since they're so small). Nothing can become "lost" in your vagina, since the cervix acts as a barrier to the rest of your reproductive system. To take the loose ben wa balls out, all I do is squat or lay down and hook them with my finger (one at a time) to remove them.
[I have this philosophy that if you aren't willing to stick a finger up yourself to remove them, you really shouldn't be putting them in your vagina in the first place.] -
Also, if you're having trouble getting the balls out, you can squat and bear down to "push" them out a little more.
Personally, I'd use something with a string, since it's hard for me to pop things in to my vagina in the first place.

Ben wa balls

Well, I do not know much about them and I really would like to. I am not sure where to start. I read a fantasy about them and a lot of the post and reviews mention wearing them while out and about or even working out. So I would love to give that a try. I think I want some with weight and a cord that I do not have to worry about getting germy so...help please

I'm a pretty petite woman and I don't think I could use either of those products comfortably for a good amount of time. Plus, you can't have intercourse with the Smart Balls!
I'm not too worried about a cord, unless the balls are attached. I've had some, uh, "interesting" things in my vagina before that I was able to push out easily, so I'm not afraid to use a cordless set.
What do you mean by "getting germy"? -

I think I am going to get either the Smart Balls or the Desi. I don't really like the cord on the smart balls. It doesn't look sturdy enough and the Desi sit in a girdle and looks like a lot of work to clean.

Smart Balls can go in the ass, apparently
-
On the product description: "These weighted balls are coated in elastomed to help make them easier to clean and keep clean. This also makes them a good toy to use anally as well."
Seriously? Seriously? -
Quote: On the product description: "These weighted balls are coated in elastomed to help make them easier to clean and keep clean. I seriously would advise against it. If the first ball goes in, the second one probably would go in as well. There are a lot of anal toys that lack a good base to make them butt safe, and it is a shame really. I always advise against using toys anally unless they have a good sized flange base. A smooth ball shape is not going to stop a toy from getting sucked inside. I don't own a set of anal beads yet because of this...I just don't feel most of them are safe.
The material is another concern with the smart balls. The Elastomed is non porous, but not technically sterilizable. Fun Factory advises against boiling them even.
Bottom line is that these are intended and designed for vaginal use only.

Smart Balls material question
-
Blah, I mistakenly posted this as a reply to another question on the Smart Balls site. But I'm really curious, so I'm posting it again:
I'm wondering what I should recommend to a friend when it comes to vaginal balls. I'm happy with the Desi, but I still wish it were entirely silicone. The Smart Balls are listed as silicone (yay!), but on the first review link the Product Specialist said that they were made of elastomed with a silicone finish. What does this mean? Could my friend sterilize them? It seems like the Smart Balls are safer than the other options on the site, but I just wanted to ask someone who knows more than me! -
Well as for the best recommendation to a friend for specifically vaginal balls then I would most likely say these Smart balls, but this is dependent on her purpose and what task she is trying to accomplish:
If she is looking to strengthen kegels (PC Muscles) then these are a good option but, balls in general are not going to be the best. The best option for PC Strength is a weighted dildo (such as Glass or Steel).
If her purpose is to have an orgasm with these, then again I don't think balls are the best option. In this case it would be best to go with a vibrating egg or bullet (2-3 would be best if she is looking for a massive orgasm) 1 on clit, 1 vaginally, and 1 anally (optional, but could really enhance the pleasure)
If your friend is looking for a method of foreplay and neither to get off, or just starting to strengthen PC muscles then the balls would be the best option. (and the best balls would probably be Smart Balls)
I am pretty sure these balls are actually listed as the wrong material, since they are not 100% silicone. Doing some googling research on these balls, they are actually made of elastomed which is basically elastomer. They will soft like silicone but semi- porous. Even if they do have a silicone “coat” I wouldn’t risk sterilizing them in boiling water, but indeed they can be washed with soap or toy cleaner. (I would be sure to try and try them well to ensure that not a lot of water is left behind in the small pores.)
As for the safeness of SmartBalls, I am unable to judge on that, but just looking at these makes me think the center line would snap, especially if used anally.
-->” It seems like the Smart Balls are safer than the other options on the site” Hmm, compared to what? I am not really sure if you are comparing them to other Smartballs (which indeed these would probably be the safest) or if you are comparing them to other toys (in which there are much safer options out there than these. Ex: 100% silicone Tantus dildos & plugs, anal specific objects, weighted dildos, quality vibrating eggs/balls)
You also might want to find out what your friend’s purpose is and I can further help you (Ex: if she wan’t a toy for vaginal, anal, or both usage, what she intends this toy to do for her --> (Orgasmic, Exercising, For play, Experimentation, etc)
Hopefully this helps, and if you post back with any info, then the next time I check out the forums I will try to help you further. Due to sometimes my forgetful mindset, once you post a reply back, feel free to send me an email and say something like “hey please reply here:” (haha) just so I remember to check back here, and don’t abandon you for a month :P.

She's thinking specifically vaginal balls--exercising rather than exciting. I'm just really confused because Smart Balls are listed as silicone but don't seem to have more than a silicone coating? I'd like to recommend her to something that can be sterilized (even though she won't be sharing, so something like the Desi could work, even though it has non-silicone parts). But with so many people such big fans of the Smart Balls I'm mostly wondering--are they silicone? Elastomed? What are they, and what does it mean (are the reviews correct, can it be sterilized, etc.)?

And if they're not silicone, shouldn't the listing be fixed? *is perplexed*

Balls that train vaginal muscles

FemmeI want to work and tighten my muscles to get stronger orgasms. I bought the Smart balls and have a question now. Do I take them out when I urinate? -
HeligaQuote: I want to work and tighten my muscles to get stronger orgasms. I bought the Smart balls and have a question now. Do I take them out when I urinate?Well, you can take them out, but you don't have to. I personally leave them inside and feel no discomfort. -

Smart balls vs Royal Balls

lesgirlThere are a few reviews that say the Royal balls break in the *thin* center part between the balls. Anyone had this experience with the Smart Balls? Any advice would be great! -

Fun Factory Smart Balls vs. Luna Pleasure Bead System

SirenHey! I'm a first time user of Ben Wa Balls, was looking at the smart balls vs the luna system....what are your thoughts? -
HeligaQuote: Hey! I'm a first time user of Ben Wa Balls, was looking at the smart balls vs the luna system....what are your thoughts?Smart Balls are very nice, but you get more options with the Luna Balls...you can mess around with different weights, which might be helpful if you are trying to increase the strength of the pelvic muscles. -

Thank you for viewing Smart balls – sex toy for women review page!

I had a big problem with something like these. Getting them in was for the most part easy but when it came to getting them out it was far from easy. No matter what position I got in to they hurt to take out.
Yikes! Thanks for the size warning, it's hard to image these thing until they're in your hands!
Thanks for the review. I guess they just didn't look that large.
Thanks for the review
You need to include the feel of the material, what it actually is, what lubes can be used, how large they are in dimensions ect. The main purpose of these is to increase the vaginal muscles. You may want to do some research or read the product description and edit this to make it more useful.
Did you do any research regarding exercising the vaginal muscles? Were there any instructions included?
I like these a lot, but I think it depends on anatomy. Thanks for the review
Thanks for the review!
