Meet my new squirmy best friend

While this toy isn't what I expected it to be, I really like it. The rotations are fun and it's curvy shape adds something different then you're standard rotating vibe. While it's marketed as a g-spot vibrator, for me it didn't really have that effect.

extremely useful review
Lucid Dream #99 is a rotating vibrator that looks and functions similar to a rabbit style vibe except that there is no clitoral stimulator. It also has a curvy/squirmy shape to it which is pretty unique and was one of the features that most enticed me about this toy. When I got the toy it was a lot larger then I had originally thought it would be. Even though I had read the dimensions and knew it was 2 inches in diameter, it seemed larger to me when seeing it in person. This might be because of the curvy shape, it makes it look girthier then it actually is.

The control panel on this toy looks like the ones on rabbit style vibes as well. It has two sets of buttons, one for the rotations and one for the vibrations. You can also switch direction of the rotations with a button. The controls are easy to use and easy to understand. There is a low, medium and high for both the vibrations and rotation. Pretty simple, pretty standard. I didn't find the noise to be too extreme. It was not as virtually silent as the packaging indicated; but, compared to other rotating vibrators out there, I found it to be pretty quiet. The rotations did not cause a whining noise when used which for me has always been distracting and so the absence of that was definitely a pro for this toy. Another feature that I really like about this toy is that the batteries (three AA) have their own little case that you can take out when not using and then pop back in when ready, this allows you to not have to fumble around with battery placement each time.

Like the other Lucid Dream products, this toy is made out of a Jelly Rubber. I'm not a fan of the Jelly material and normally stay away from toys that are made out of it. I don't like that it's extremely porous and that it contains phthalates. I did like that the #99 was waterproof though and the shape of it really intrigued me to the point that I was willing to set aside the fact that I don't like its material. Jelly toys do come with their safety concerns, so just be sure that you take care of them well. They should be washed with a mild soap and water. Be sure to avoid alcohol, bleach or dish soap as it can break down the rubber. You should also use a condom if you'll be sharing a jelly toy or using it for both vaginal and anal use.
Experience
Like I said above, I was pretty surprised at the size of the Lucid Dream #99. It was a lot larger than I thought it was going to be. Since it rotates and looks as if it should basically squirm I was thinking it would be thinner so that it had room to move inside of me. But, as it was, it looked like it would not really have any room for movement. I figured this could go either one of two ways: either the larger size would make the movements feel more intense or it would cause them not to be able to be felt. Turns out it was a little bit of both. When I first tried using the toy I inserted it all the way in (well just about all the way...it really IS pretty big) and wasn't able to feel much movement. The girth made the toy very filling and the twirly shape added to that. While I wasn't able to feel rotations, it was still pleasurable. The vibrations felt deep, they were not buzzy and were strong while not being irritating.

At this point I decided to experiment and find out if there wasn't a way that I could make this toy work for me more. I mean it has such an interesting shape and the visual aspect of the shaft rotation was really enticing. I wasn't about to give up on this toy. I tried using it externally for some clitoral stimulation. That was pretty damn amazing actually; the rotations made it basically dance over my clit and almost simulated an oral type of feel. I loved the visual aspect of the rotations so that was exciting too. I really don't know what it was about the movement but I really liked watching it. I used some lube and tried the vibe internally again. This time I didn't just leave it inside but rather slid it in and out slow enough to feel the movements. This worked a lot better and the rotations made it unlike the sensation that can come from a regular vibe. The feel wasn't enough to get me off without clitoral stimulation, but that's nothing new for me; so I can't really say that was because of anything lacking from the vibe. Even though it wasn't enough on its own it definitely added something to the experience and I'll definitely be using the Lucid Dreams #99 again (and again, and again).
Follow-up commentary
This one just doesn't find it's way out for play much. The larger size of it really makes the squirming feature kind of dull as it can't really be felt. I still like it for clitoral stimulation but mainly just for the visual appeal. Once that gets old it's really just a tease.

Also, the last time I used this I found I got a burning reaction to it when used internally. It appears I'm developing a sensitivity to jelly. Which makes me sad, but basically it means that this has been reduced to a clitoral only toy and it's just not that great at that and it's way too bulky.

LOL doesn't it?? When I first got it I said to my husband "Oh I don't know about one of them...I just don't know" and we had to wait until later that night because the kids were still awake and the whole time I kept thinking "this thing is way too big" but it really wasn't that bad..the shape just makes it look girthier then it is!

I wonder what percentage of women G-spot vibes actually work for, because they do nothing for me either. Good review!

I have found one vibe and one dildo to effectively reach it for me. That's about it though..and with the vibe I don't think it was so much the vibrations as it was the shape and the hard material acting basically as a dildo, the vibrations basically only helped for clitoral stimulation at the same time. this is the vibe that worked for me.
