Mi-eh would be more accurate
Mia is definitely a good vibrator, but I am hesitant to give her my best recommendation simply because her vibrations were not right for me. So I can't expect that they'll be right for you. But if you want a discreet (both in looks and charging - she appears and acts like a flash drive!) sophisticated vibrator, then Mia is for you!Published: January 11, 2010
Pros:
Travel Friendly
Awesome looking
Awesome looking
Cons:
Too weak/wrong kind of vibration for some
Follow-up commentary

First off, I did end up exchanging my Mia because of that separating issue. My "new" Mia wasn't that much stronger than my old one, but I have to say it works better now. Or maybe I know myself better. Or maybe I have a lot more patience than I did before. Because it works, if I position it *just so*. And I love it for traveling because of that whole USB thing. But I still don't use it at home, because I tend to go for something stronger. But its techie-ness, and the fact that it now works for me, is quite awesome.

Mias USB cover cap
-
I've done a little reading up on the Mia and found that many people were having problems with the cap falling off during use. Since Mia is not waterproof, I wanted to know if this was a defect or is this is something that happens to the Mias over time. I am looking to get one for my girlfriend, but wanted to know more about this problem before I purchase it. Also, I read that LELO has made improvements to Mias motor. Is that the only improvement that was made? Or does anyone have the same problem with the cap falling off on the new Mia?
Thanks!!

Any USB vibrators that you can use WHILE they are charging?
-
So I see there's no way you could use this one while it's charging, and apparently the same goes for the Fairy Baby. Does anyone know of one you can use while it's charging via USB?
-
I think the We-Vibe Tango might be usable since it looks like it's got a really long extension cord. But I don't own one.
-
I'd be worried about the risk of electrocution. Also, the power draw of simultaneous use and charging might fry your USB port.

New Lelo Mia?
-
Does anyone have the "new and improved" Lelo Mia? I'm curious if it's a lot better.
-
I didn't even know about the new and improved Mia, now I'm curious because I was thinking about getting the Mia with my next order.
-
I just went on the website and looked, I'm hoping that the one I order will be the new and improved one, because they said that they started making them better as of February. Now I'm even more excited to try it out :)

Thank you for viewing Mia – sex toy review page!

Very nice review. I'm pretty sure that I'm like you and would not like Mia's vibrations. Live and learn.
Great review. It's such a pretty toy.
Newme, Glad I could help! Not sure I've learned yet because I really want the Nea and the Lilly, but I think I'd have the same problems. I don't think I'm going to buy them though, but I can dream!
And thanks Kay, it sure is. When it dies, I'm still keeping it just to look at.
Awesome Review!
Another weak vibration toy. they need to fix that!
Sophie, the nea is so beautiful that I know what you mean. But it took me forever and a day to get off with it. I want Lelo to put a better motor in it.
Thanks Viktor!
And Thanks for the info Newme, now it's definitely off the list (unless Lelo fixes that ::teensy:: issue...)
I dont own this one simply because I was fearful that she wouldn't be strong enough. Thank you for confirming my fears. I'm sooo tempted by the new Ina but I'm afraid it will have the same power issues. I own the Gigi and while most adore her she does absolutely nothing for me in terms of vibration. Enough of my rambling, GREAT review!
Sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it, but thanks for the review!
@Minxy: The Iris, a toy which is probably most comparable to the bigger portion of the Ina, is definitely stronger than both Gigi and Mia. I can't have a clitoral orgasm with her for some reason, but she feels amazing internally. If the clit and base motor is as strong as the motor in the Iris, I would be happy to recommend that you buy that product.
Aside: I love my Gigi, but I bought her fairly recently. Is it possible that you have an older one with a weaker motor? Also I didn't like Gigi's vibrations until I tried her with thicker water based lubricants since they do a better job at magnifying her vibrations.
As a rule of thumb, I always wait at least 6 months before investing in a product, just in case the manufacturer makes any subtle changes in the body/internal materials. I also called a representative from Lelo regarding a return a few months ago and they said that they do make changes (albeit small ones) based on feedback. This was a while ago, but I would imagine that it's true (like how Apple adds small features to laptops without announcing a whole new product).
Good luck and if you get the Ina let me know!
And thanks Lithaewyn!
Sorry this one didn't work so well for you.
Good review!
Thanks Sammi!
Your reviews are really great!
That is a phenomenal complement, especially coming from you. Thank you so much Adriana!
I can't believe you thought it was too weak though? I adore my Mia. But it's probably a matter of personal preference in relation to the type of vibration.
Great review, nonetheless!
yeah, I think it's a preference thing. It's definitely strong, but slightly higher pitched than my other toys, which *feels* weaker to me.
Thanks!
Thank you, it's great that Mia is starting to work for you!
Great review
