The Mia is most obviously used to stimulate yourself externally, either alone or with a partner. It can also be used on other sensitive areas (like nipples). However, measuring from the tip (where you get the most sensation) to the buttons (where you control the device), there is only maybe two inches. So it is not ideal to use internally, unless the spot you want to hit is very shallow and if you are ok with a mess all over the cap and buttons.

Since this device is very quiet compared to other devices I've owned, it would be ok to use if there are people living in close proximity. Behind a closed door and under covers, it would be hard to hear if there was some background noise, even on it's highest setting.

It is not to be submerged in water and I would not use it even near water (like shower). Even though there is a cap covering the usb port, I personally would not be inclined to risk it and would rather buy a device meant for use in/around water.

The Mia is primarily made from a hard plastic. It's smooth, shiny and very easy to clean. There is a bit of silicone on the buttons but this is a very small part of the device. That being said, you should still not use silicone based lubes, but water based would be just fine.

The shape of the Mia is a long cylinder. I'd say it is similar in shape and diameter to a cigar but shorter. Its a little longer than the palm of my hand. However, as I mentioned above, the length of the area from the tip to the control buttons is about two inches. The rest is control buttons and the cap to cover the usb charger.

With respect to design, as promised, it is very discreet. I've left it charging in my computer when friends come over, and have not been worried over their perceptions of it. Unlike devices I've had in the past, if found, it will not be embarrassing or obvious. It looks as others have mentioned like some sort of larger lipstick or a very big usb stick when its charging in your computer.

Given its small size and discreet looks, I would be very comfortable throwing it in my purse and taking it with me to the bf's house or out and about on my daily errands.

With regards to actual performance....I felt this left a bit to be desired.

As a disclaimer, I'm used to very powerful vibrations and have gotten used to that. For many years I had a very basic hard plastic vibrator. It was maybe $30 5 or 6 years ago. The sucker was LOUD but very powerful, and sadly it finally gave out recently after years of vigorous use. I was hoping to replace it with something that would be more discreet and non threatening to my bf. While it certainly delivers on discretion, I just feel it leaves something to be desired with respect to function.

The buttons on the Mia are really easy to control (up and down is pretty straightforward) and I like the fact that the speeds are variable and easy to change. The highest power is ok and for me, the variable functions are not really useful (as in I quickly fall out of the mood).

It starts out fairly powerful (but not as powerful as my last) and the power subsides fairly quickly in my opinion. If you try to use it once and then use it again without charging, you may have problems getting the power you need. In fact, there was a night where my bf and I had integrated it into our play and it had been in use off and on for maybe half an hour before we wanted it for the grand finale and I finally just threw it across the room in frustration because there was no way it was going to get the job done. Needless to say, I was very disappointed.

I think this would be a good toy for someone who is not used to powerful vibrations (such as a beginner) or someone who needs a very discreet toy. I'm definitely going to buy a new toy to be the main player and this will just be a backup or travel toy.

That being said, for the price, I'm not sure it was worth it for me personally for such minimal use.

This toy is easy to care for. Per the instructions, you should wash with warm water and antibacterial soap (not submurged in water but ok to wash it under the stream of water if you're very careful). You can also use toy cleaners as long as it doesn't have alcohol, petrol or acetone. Since the materials are not really porous, you won't feel nervous about the cleanliness.

Storage is easy and it comes with a little black bag.

The toy came with very nice packaging, instructions, storage bag, and also a supplemental piece that would allow you to use it with a wall adapter (if you already had one).

As I mentioned above, its decent but if it's not fully charged, it can be a problem in terms of power which ended up ruining the moment on one occasion already.

When it's fully charged it usually works o.k., but not as powerful as others I have owned. I will be buying another more powerful toy to replace it for solo use. For partner use, it still may be o.k. due to size/shape; but I will be sure that it is fully charged before use.
