My Almost Turquoise Lover.

This toy has LOTS to offer for only $39. It’s waterproof, silicone, has lots of settings, and is nice to hold in your hand. Sadly, it wasn’t powerful enough for this power queen. I still think this is a great clitoral vibrator that most will love. I love all the color options! The AKO is my almost turquoise lover.

Use

PikoBong’s AKO vibrator is designed for external stimulation of the clitoris. Please don’t use this anally as it could get lost up there! This is one toy I was so sure I was going to like, and I was so sad when it wasn’t enough for me. There’s a lot I love about it. It’s waterproof, inexpensive, available in pretty colors, easy to hold and use. The size is great for travel and it is suitable for any user regardless of experience. My only issue with it is the power. It feels powerful enough in my hand, but not on my clit. This isn’t to say it isn’t powerful enough for most; I am a power queen. I think most out there will really like it. I still recommend it for anyone looking for a fairly powerful inexpensive vibrator. It has a lot to offer for only $39, you really can’t go wrong.

Material / Texture

The AKO is made out of silicone and plastic. The silicone that comes in contact with your body is very safe to use rating a ten out of ten on Eden Fantasy’s Safety Scale. The whole vibrator rates an eight because of the plastic. The silicone is very smooth to the touch with literally no drag. It feels really nice when dragged along the skin, almost silky. The AKO has no bend or flexibility to it making it perfect for pinpoint stimulation. The Silicone is smooth all over with no texture, perfect if you don’t like texture. I did find one seam on the toy, but I couldn’t feel it all during use. Surprisingly, I have found that the AKO doesn’t attract any hair or lint. It doesn’t really have much of a smell to it.

Design / Shape / Size

I love the design of the AKO. It’s really easy to hold and fits nicely in your hand. It has a pointed tip making it great to pinpoint stimulation. Part of the toy has PikoBong’s name written on it. You can feel it when you run your finger over it, but it’s near the base of the toy so it’s not really felt during use.

The plastic cap of the toy is plastic and ribbed. There is a little hole on the very bottom where you can tie your little plastic key chain.

The buttons are also near the bottom of the AKO. They are flesh with the toy, which is pretty cool.

The whole vibrator is fairly small, easily fitting in the palm of my hand. It’s a total of 4 3/4" in length. Its circumference is 4 ½” with a diameter of 1 ½”. The size is perfect for any user from beginner to advanced. It’s also small enough to travel with.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The AKO is powered by two AAA batteries. To place them, open the bottom plastic cap. The cap can be a little tricky to screw back on the toy. It’s probably the most annoying thing about AKO, it usually takes me a few tries to get it on correctly. When you look close, there are little pictures showing you which way to put the batteries in.

The buttons are flesh with the toy. There are three buttons: a plus sign, M button, and a minus button. The buttons are easy to press, but are at an odd place on the toy. When you first use it, you have to familiarize with the buttons. I had to keep taking it out to look. The plus and minus signs increase or decrease vibration. The M button controls your modes or patterns. It’s hard for me to discern, but there are around four increasing modes of steady vibration. To activate it, you have to hold down the plus sign for a few seconds to get it to work. To turn it off, simply hold down the minus button.

I found the following patterns. There are a lot so I tried to discern them as best as I could. If you love patterns, this vibrator offers a lot!

1. Escalating pulses: low to high in speed
2. Faster version of number one
3. Straight fast pulses
4. Lightening fast pulses
5. Escalating pulses (slower than number 1)
6. Escalates slowly
7. Roller coaster
8. Similar to number 5
9. Escalates then gives a few pulses, cycles back
10. Same as number 9 but goes faster
11. Escalates slowly up and down

The AKO is fairly powerful with very buzzy vibrations. It isn’t powerful enough for me to achieve orgasm, but definitely more powerful than a vroom of 3. I’d give it a vroom of 3.5 if I could. It almost reaches 4 if it just had one more setting. The AKO is fairly quiet in operation. It’s not the quietest toy I’ve ever heard but not the loudest either. I’d give it a bee of 2. You could certainly hear it through covers, but not through a closed door. AKO is waterproof and I haven’t found any water to leak in.

Care and Maintenance

Since the AKO is waterproof, simply wash it in warm water and soap. The manual advises against using an alcohol based cleaner. If you wish to sterilize the silicone, you could wash the AKO in a 10% bleach solution. Don’t boil this vibrator either as it could ruin the motor.

This is a silicone toy so don’t use a silicone based lubricant. I stick to a water based lubricant.

Packaging

The cool thing about PikoBong’s Packaging is the color of the box matches what color toy you choose. I chose the turquoise AKO so my package came in the blue. You can see the toy through the box and there is writing all over it. The box calls the AKO an “Outie Vibe”. This cracked me up, it’s the first time I’ve seen a company call an external vibrator “outie”.

There are some good instructions that come with the toy. One packet is your user manual. It includes battery information, how to use the AKO, and advises to only use water based lubricants. It also mentions not to use an alcohol based cleaner. There is definitely enough information for use. The other manual talks about your one year warranty. The warranty covers you “against defects due to faulty workmanship or materials”. If something happens to your AKO, contact PikoBong and they will replace your vibrator free of charge. I would advise keeping your manual as it includes your serial number on the back. They also advise keeping your original purchase receipt.

I actually really like the box and will probably keep it to store my AKO. It comes with this key chain type thing that you are supposed to tie on the end of your AKO. I find it kind of silly so I took mine off.

Personal comments

Even though the AKO didn't do the trick for me, I really like a lot about it. I can see why lots have raved about it already. I usually give vibrators that don't work for me three stars out of five. However, this is one vibrator that was super close to being a perfect fit for me. I know lots of people will love it so I'm keeping it at four stars. Plus, you can't beat that price!

Thanks for the review. Sometimes it is hard to realize the differences in the reviews. More of the reviews say it is powerful and then one says not for power queens. I think I am a power queen. Price is so right. Maybe just bite the bullet and give it a try. Hopefully this will be the one that finally works for me.
