This was my first vibrator and first sex toy, bought from my local sex shop. It was the least realistic looking vibrator in a simple and friendly looking package. Though I have since added two more vibrators to my collection, this remains my favourite.
The package was easy to open. There was a pleasant smell of the thermoplastic rubber (TPR) which now seems to have considerably dissipated. I washed it under the bathroom sink with some warm water and soap , dried it, and then covered it in isopropyl alcohol 70% solution and waited for it to dry (I still use 70% isopropyl alchol swabs after using soapy water). I found the battery compartment reasonably easy to use, though it was a bit hit and miss since I was not sure which of the AA batteries was supposed to be ve end up and which was suppose to be –ve end up. When I turned the dial on the base of the toy it started to vibrate- so far so good. I lubed up the dildo with some water based lubricant and inserted it vaginally while still vibrating. It was a strange and sensation that reverberated to my asshole. I thrusted it further up and the unpleasant sensation went away, I made a mental note to turn it on only after inserting it the full length. After thrusting with it for a bit I became a little bit disappointed with my purchase, but I have since learned to get a lot more out of the Swirl Daisy.
Lately I have been using it as more of a clitoral and labial stimulator. Its flexible structure means that I can sit on it with it between my legs and have most of my external genitalia stimulated through my clothes while applying a lot of pressure which I really enjoy, relieving a lot of sexual tension. It is great for clitoral stimulation which is improved through the use of a water based lubricant. It builds up the sensitivity in my clitoris and is great for warming me up before sex or manual stimulation. When I bought this toy, the fact that it was waterproof made me feel more secure in washing the toy. What I didn’t realise was that this toy is absolutely perfect for bathtime play. In comparison with my other vibrators this one has a deep thrumming sensation which is based at the tip of the vibrator- it may be seen through the semiopaque TPR. This comes into its own when used in a bath environment. Placing the tip of the vibrator gently on the clitoris while in a warm bath provides amazing sensations, which I assume are partially provided by the movement of water around the flexible vibrating tip. I have used one other rigid bullet style vibrator in the bath, and it didn’t give the same sensations as this toy did.
Quietness is important to me, as I still live with my parents. On the lower to medium range of settings which I generally start with and prefer, the Swirl Daisy is extremely quiet and I feel comfortable using it in the bath or under the covers. On the higher settings a different ‘whining’ quality of noise kicks in, probably resonance between the vibrating part and the TPR coating, but it is muffled if sitting on it or using it for penetration. Overall it is very quiet for its power.
There are raised daisies and a swirled texture to this toy. This provides some interest for sliding over the clitoris. I did not really notice the texture on penetration, but there does seem to be more grip to this toy than the smooth silicone dildo I own which makes it a bit more difficult to thrust quickly.
The vibrations provided by this toy are strongest at the tip of the toy. This can be an advantage for clitoral stimulation because I can quite comfortably hold the toy further down the shaft without it vibrating my hand off.
I actually enjoy the dial on this toy, it doesn’t seem to get in the way during use. I sometimes even invent my own pulsation patterns with it. It has a little bit of give in the dial before it will start to vibrate, but there is no clear on/off point, so take the batteries out when transporting it.
Although rubber is a porous material I feel comfortable using it as the sole user for vaginal and clitoral stimulation.
Overall a great toy which I can see in my toybox for a long time to come.

Good point. There are actually no distinct settings on this vibe, turning the dial gives a continuous increase in vibration. I like it how the dial moves smoothly.
