My first vibe—great for newbies!

This was my first vibrator, and as a first vibe, it's a great choice. Super cute, with strong vibrations, especially given the low price. The color and shape are so pretty, it made me feel much more at ease with buying a vibe. And it's easy to use, so it wasn't intimidating. I also love that it's easy to clean. The range of vibrations was a great help in figuring out how much I could handle. Even the low-level vibrations are pretty strong, and the high-level vibrations are intense—definitely more than enough for me.
My favorite part is the shape. The bubbles are perfect for penetration, and they also work well for clit stimulation. It feels very smooth and inviting. I've used it in the shower, and had no problems. The one big downside to this toy is the noise level. It's fairly loud, and I've been in situations where I couldn't use it at all due to thin walls.
Take note that the vibrations are not evenly spread out throughout the vibe; they're strongly concentrated in the tip, and taper off from there. For that reason, during penetration, the vibrations aren't always where you want them to be. I prefer to use it for clit stimulation, to direct the strong vibrations exactly where I want them. It also has a tendency to drain batteries, and there is a noticeable difference in the power of the vibrations with a weak battery or with a new one. I always take the batteries out when I'm not using it to preserve them.
After I'd had this vibe for a while, I got bored with it and wanted to try the next step up, but as a first toy, it was the perfect choice.
If you can't afford a designer luxury vibe, this is a great deal. It may not be the fanciest, but it's definitely no disappointment.

Experience
Although it says waterproof, this toy should not be submerged in water, so it's not a good choice for the bathtub. Shower is fine.

I've always been pleasured plenty by my partner, but she likes toys and I'm open to try anything really. Plus I'd love to help her make her 'toy' collection (Her ex husband kept most.. wtf?, and the rest were stolen a year later.... EW) and I wouldn't mind having a toy collection either.
The color looks nice, but it doesn't seem very big around. I'm hoping for my best with this and a g-spot vibrator I just ordered too. If I like this okay, going to go for more toys. Tango and MiMi are my favourites. :) The Iconic Bullet is great for the price. I love the Fairy, but it's a bit loud (when it comes to discretion).
Internally, I haven't used anything that vibrates yet, but my favourite regular dildo so far is the Ella, and the Amethyst - both are pretty affordable. -
I love my Cupid's Kiss and my Mono. The Mono is better for beginners, though.

Does she have a preference for size? color? is she sensitive or does she require quite a bit of stimulation to get her to achieve an orgasm?
Unfortunately no one will be able to point you in the right direction regarding products without that information. Stimulation, arousal and the sensation of orgasm is relatively different depending on the person(s) involved.
I suggest you ask her what she likes, and if she doesn't know maybe try a bunch of different products to help her figure that out.

Thanks! Hard plastic is just about the easiest material to clean—you can clean it with soap and water in your sink. Since I lived in a dorm the first year I had this and was shy about washing it in public bathrooms, I kept antibacterial wet wipes in my room that did the job with no hassle at all.
