Nea packs a punch

The different settings are nice. It got the job done quicker than I expected. Its very tiny, has a beautiful finish and art work, No smell, Extremely quiet which is very important to me. I get excited just thinking about the next time i can use it. So far I haven't found a toy that can compare to it. The directions are very simple and if you've memorized how to get through it you can easily change the vibrations without removing it completely from your body.
Its a hard plastic with a smooth glossy finish. Feels amazing with Lube(I use a water based lube). For me its just a clit vibe others may use it on their nipples. I start out on the lower settings and turn it up when I need more intensity. the lowest setting may feel like its not turned on but if you turn it up it can get pretty powerful. This little Vibe is totally worth it. the presentation is just so Cute and feminine the box is small, black and nice enough to keep out in the open.
One thing that sealed the deal for me with the Nea is that its rechargeable. Meaning NO BATTERIES!!! woo hoo. I hate how most vibes have batteries jiggling around and causing all that extra noise and then don't even last very long. After charging this little vibe for maybe 2 hours gives you a 7 hour charge. I don't know of many other products that could claim that longevity and live up to it but the Nea does exactly what it says.
I think this would be an excellent First Vibe for beginners wanting to get their first sex toy. Or women who aren't into penetration. This is just high quality well made product that should be in every woman's toy box. Its innocent looking and you could even leave in on your desk or dresser and no one would be the wiser unless they already knew what a Nea was.
It is NOT waterproof, should not be used in the shower or in a bathtub unless you want to just waste your money. It's very easy to clean simply get a wipe with toy cleaner on it or a damp towel rub your cleaner all over it avoiding the hole for the charger and wipe clean. then store it in the cute little satin pouch it comes with.

is it the same motor? any significant difference in sensation due to different surface texture?

Near as I've been able to tell, literally the only difference is that they're coated in different materials. Nea is a smooth shiny plastic while Lily has a more velvety matte silicone covering. The only difference you should be able to feel is the same difference between anything that's plastic vs anything that's coated in silicone or velvet cote.

Pretty, but I just can't imagine spending that much. I mean, when the battery burns out, what do you do with it? I know that, after the one year warranty expires, you can send it back to LELO so that you can get the next item at 50% off; but, at $999, I hardly think that's a good deal any longer (though I totally think the "regular" LELOs in the HOMME and FEMME line ARE a good deal). Especially if this burns out after a year and a half (or, even worse, just one month past the one year warranty).
