The new impulse is a smallish vibrator that has multi-speeds for different clitoral and vaginal stimulation. It could be used on nipples and other external parts of the body as well. This could be used for solo play or to enhance couples play. The one great thing I can say for the New Impulse is that it is totally waterproof. So it could be used in the shower, pool, hot tub, or any other water play you could think of. It could pretty much be used anywhere that the noise wouldn't be a factor. If you have roommates you will need the door closed and have a t.v. or radio on pretty loudly to drown out the hum. It is non-flanged so if you decide to use it for anal area, do not insert all the way or you might loose it. I used it primarily for clitoral stimulation but it did not "do it" for me....sadly. The motor is pretty loud so it is not very discreet. It is small enough for travel.

The New Impulse I received was a silver metallic color and can be used with any sort of lubrication due to its slick surface, you won't need much. It was so shiny I could see my reflection really clearly. It is non-porous and phthalate-free material and does not absorb lubes like some other textures. It did not have any odor to it and felt smooth and hard in my hand. I liked the metallic look of this toy.

The New Impulse is 5 3/4" long with 4 1/2" insertable length. It has a 3 1/2" diameter and is 1" wide. The perfect size for a little vibrator! This toy is not discreet due to its high-pitched motor. It was small enough to fit in my purse and could be used for travel, but only if you will be somewhere no one could hear you, it is a loud toy! I liked the design but it is not discreet at all.

It does not pack much of a punch, thou. So those of you that need a lot of vrooms to get it done will not be able to get off on this. It has a steady vibrate function with three levels of ever increasing vibrations followed by two pulsating rhythms, one more steady vibration (low in strength), and a last pulsating vibration that actually sounds like the battery is giving out. It is embarrassingly noisy. I used it in my loud little car on the highway (with my partner driving) and I could hear it over the radio....a kill-joy for me!

Being waterproof makes it really easy to care for this toy. This toy can easily be cleaned with antibacterial soap and hot water and dried with almost any material, or by wiping down with isopropyl alcohol. Some materials pick up lint, but this is not one of those. This toy is compatible with oil, water or silicone based lubrication. I store it in my "happy box" with my other toys and doesn't need special maintenance. I would recommend storing it with the batteries removed to save their longevity.

The New Impulse came in a non-discreet plastic clamshell with the toy name and a picture of a sexy brunette. It did not give any usage instructions, just mentioned that it is a novelty toy...aren't they all? It takes two AAA batteries.
