Not Ecstatic About "Weighted Ecstasy Balls"

The Pleasure Pearls may be appropriate for someone who is more experienced with vaginal balls and who wants something fairly light, but most people will probably find that there are more helpful exercisers available.

Use

The Pleasure Pearls are for strengthening your vaginal muscles. Whether the pleasure aspect referred to in the product name is supposed to be derived from wearing the pearls or from having stronger vaginal muscles leading to stronger orgasms/better sex, I have yet to figure out or experience.

Material / Texture

The Pleasure Pearls are made of a very smooth plastic, except for a seam that goes all the way around the circumference of the pearl. The seam has not bothered me at all though. The plastic is white and pearlescent, and there is no noticeable smell. They are non-porous and phthalate-free.

Design / Shape / Size

The two pearls are small and plastic, about the size and twice the weight of a smallish shooter marble (for those of you who played with marbles). Their weight was noticeable in my hand, but they were not nearly heavy enough for use or any kind of workout. They're a good size, just small enough to be easy to put in and big enough to be able to hold onto, although this depends on your anatomy. Maybe with a little more girth they'd provide more of a reminder to tighten your muscles. With the pearls being separate, you could choose to use one or two if the weight was an issue. However, I'd much prefer it if they came with a cord or some sort of retrieval attachment, both for peace of mind and practicality.

You could travel with them or leave them out, and no one would think anything of them.

Performance

We liked that the packaging was so discreet (and adorable!) and Danny felt that the size of the marbles was good, although the weight was a bit lacking. For a beginner, the pearls are almost definitely too small.

Care and Maintenance

The Pleasure Pearls are very easy to clean since they are plastic. You can wash them with hot water and soap or clean them with isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, you can put them right back into the shell they came in.

It is recommended to use the pearls with lube, and you can use water, oil, or silicone based lubes.

Packaging

The pleasure pearls come in a discreet plastic shell-shaped case. You could store them in their case and leave them lying around; they're actually pretty cute. This whole package, however, comes in a cardboard box with a nude woman on it. Not the most discreet, but there's no reason to keep the cardboard box.

Experience

I was fairly disappointed with the Pleasure Pearls, but I believe this has less to do with the product and more to do with my personal strength. My partner and I use a Feeldoe, and I was hoping for a product that would increase my vaginal muscles' stamina and strength. After browsing through the forums though, I think I'm already pretty strong in comparison because I can hold the Feeldoe for a fairly long time and through orgasms. So for someone who already has strong Kegels, these are not going to get you any stronger.

The pearls were very easy to put in, with or without lube, though lube is recommended. I had to push them up a bit to get them into the optimum position for holding. Once in, I wore them all day, and for most of the day I couldn't feel them at all. I had to check a few times to make sure I hadn't lost them (which was a real fear, as there is no string). I think the pearls were simply not heavy enough because I was automatically holding them and not tensing very much at all. The only time I'm aware of them is when I walk, and even then it's more of a reminder that they are there than an active need to keep them in.

I'll admit, I did have a scare. I had been laying down at some point and got back up and was going to take them out and realized I could only get one out. The other had drifted too high without gravity to keep it down. Once I stopped panicking and managed to relax my muscles, I got it out with my fingers no problem.

Thanks for the warning and review! About how much do they weigh? Are they solid or hollow? Do they have anything inside like the Ben Wa's? I was thinking of getting some type of the balls but will pass on these.

They sound like they're solid. I'm not sure how much they weigh; the product page says they weigh .3lbs though; I think they're the same weight as the Smartballs Teneo Duo, if that's any help. We'll put 'em on a scale some time and tell you how much they actually weigh.
