Not for beginners, but pros may enjoy

Overall, I have to admit that this product is unquestionably good. But I really, really have to stress that it's not for beginners. If you've never used vaginal balls, I strongly suggest trying one with a retrieval string. For those experienced with them, these Ben Wa balls would likely be a good purchase - not too large, but not too small, excellent design and materials, and the sensation is certainly enjoyable.

Use

The best use for these is for strengthening the pelvic floor muscles (also known as doing Kegel exercises). These do not vibrate like some of the orgasm balls on the market. Those have a ball bearing, or some other freely moving item(s) inside the balls and when you move, they give a rocking movement that feels slightly like vibrations and is pleasurable to some. These particular glass balls are meant to strengthen the muscles due to reminding you to hold them in. You may get some nice feelings if they click together, or rub your G-spot, but most women do not.

Material / Texture

These are 100% glass and feel very smooth. They are perfect spheres and handle easily while dry, however, when lubricated, they can be a bit difficult to get a grip on. Glass is completely nonporous and thus very body-safe, making them suitable for people concerned about bacteria growing in porous material. Also, they are very enjoyable for simple tactile sensation against the skin.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Smooth

Design / Shape / Size

Here's where I have to be honest: the design is great; the size is fine; the shape is aesthetically pleasing. However, the diameter is, well, somewhat misleading. As a first-time user of Ben Wa type balls, I thought, "One and a quarter inch? Wow, that sounds tiny." Trust me, it's not...at all. They're deceivingly small out of the package, but if you're not familiar with them, especially if you've never used Ben Wa type balls, they can be very intimidating to use.

Performance

Admittedly, my review in terms of performance, is going to be a bit lacking because frankly, I could barely use them. The lack of a retrieval string certainly ups the anxiety factor and I was so tense, that just getting one in was incredibly difficult and nerve-wracking. It didn't help that they seemed...well, too light to easily be removed by gravity. If I hadn't been so anxious about getting it back out, I probably would've enjoyed it, at least somewhat, as the ball was a fairly good size once inserted. But at the time, my primary focus was getting it out.

Care and Maintenance

These come in a separated-pocket pouch, suitable for storage and travel. Being glass, they were very easy to clean and washed off quite easily. And they are an inert material, making them easy to use with water, oil or silicone-based lubes; a real benefit if you prefer one of the latter two types.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
