Not Quite in Perfect Harmony With Me

This vibe is great for firm g-spot pressure, clit and nipple teasing, but if you want pinpoint localized vibration the Harmonia just does not offer that. Plenty of girth and variety in function make this vibe fun to use as a g-spot dildo, just make sure you have a wipe or cloth ready before use to wipe off the fur coat this vibe will have acquired from its trip from storage to your vagina.

Use

The Harmonia by Close2you is intended for use as a G-spot vibrator. Its best use is as one, though it can be used for light nipple and clit teasing. Use it solo or for partner play, but I would only use it anally if I had a condom on it and was feeling really frisky. It just looks a bit too intimidating for anal use for me anyway, I could see how others might enjoy it though. I think this toy would work best for people who like firm pressure on the g-spot and do not necessarily desire strong localized vibrations. Thrusting with the Harmonia is also fantastic.

The Close2you pamphlet that came with this does describe the Harmonia as being able to be used anally too but does tell the user to make sure it is properly cleaned before it is used vaginally again.

Material / Texture

The material is silicone which is non-porous with a high safety rating. It is firmer than many other silicone toys that I own, but does have some flexibility. The flexibility is mainly midway down the shaft where the shaft is the narrowest, it bends well there but other than that it has only a little give. The best way for me to describe it is that it seems more dense and heavy than other silicone vibes that I have. It does have a velvety feel to it but no added texture. It does have a seam running up one side and down the other, but I did not notice it during use. There also was a slight odor to the Harmonia when removed from the box, but after washing this went away for the most part. I feel that since the material is a bit firmer that this may be a bit much for a beginner. This would be ideal for someone who knows that they really want firm g-spot pressure and who knows that they can use a larger internal vibe.

THE FLEXIBILITY OF HARMONIA AT THE NARROWEST PART OF THE SHAFT

    • Light odor
    • Not porous at all
    • Rigid

Design / Shape / Size

The design of the Harmonia shape and size wise is great. It has a nice rounded head that is firmer that allows for good g-spot stimulation. The insertable length, which is 6 1/2", is perfect for g-spots that are deeper and harder to reach and great for more shallow g-spots as well. The plastic base is quite easy to hold on to. It is also "girthy" enough to provide a full feeling without being totally overwhelming. The shaft is larger and more bulbous at the head and then narrows at the flexible portion of the vibe which is about 3" from the tip of the vibe and gradually widens again towards the base. The largest the diameter is would be at the base and it is 1 5/8", which is fairly large. The majority of the shaft is not this large however. The Harmonia was designed pretty well but it was designed specifically for g-spot stimulation.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Here is where the Harmonia leaves something to be desired for me. The lovely shape is great for g-spot pressure and stimulation, but the vibrations are not very localized in the "head" of the vibe no matter what setting this vibe is on. I tried using this several times for clit stimulation to warm up and it just was more of a tease and a mild turn on and I was not patient enough to find out if I could eventually get off this way. The vibrations seem to be strongest in the center of the shaft where the shaft begins to widen. I tried laying this flat so that the portion that had the strongest vibration was resting on my clit and it did not fit quite right. Nowhere on this vibe was there ability for pinpoint stimulation. I spent most of my time trying to get some clit stimulation out of the Harmonia frustrated because I could not find a position for it to provide a good strong vibration to my clit. So I moved on to internal use.

Since the vibrations are not very strong in the rounded tip that is used for g-spot pressure, there is not much added to g-spot stimulation with the vibe on. I found trying to enjoy the weak vibration on my g-spot was more of a pain in the ass, so I ended up turning the vibe off and just using it as a dildo. With the vibrations on and the rounded end putting pressure on my g-spot, I found that the vibrations were only strong at my vaginal opening. The other thing about the vibration was the fact that the entire vibe vibrates. My hand got a little tingly from the base vibrating too; another reason I turned this off and used it as a dildo.

The Harmonia in the Close2you book is described fairly well and it does say "the soft vibration of the 2.5 to 4 cm thick and 23 cm long g-spot vibrator pampers HER and even him to the point of surrendering ecstasy". They warn you that the vibrations are soft. They really are. On the plus side the "soft vibration" is truly very quiet.

The vibrations are turned on by pressing the top button on the base of the vibe. The button has a standard on icon that many computer and other electronics have. What I mean by that is that it is a circle with a small line that goes laterally through top of the circle. This button will turn the vibe on and off. Once the vibe is on there is only one other button to push which had a raised bump on it. This does make it easier to distinguish which button it is while using this before you start pressing. The vibe turns on to its lowest vibration setting. Pushing the bottom button will take you to the next vibration setting. The settings go as follows:
On - low
1st push - Medium vibration
2nd push - Highest steady vibration
3rd push - A pattern that goes BZZZZZZZZ......BZZZZZZZZ......BZZZZZZZZ
4th push - A pattern that goes BZZZ...BZZZ...BZZZ...BZZZ...BZZZ
5th push - A pattern that goes from the lowest vibe to the strongest in a do-re-mi fashion followed by a BZZZ...BZZZ...BZZZ, then this repeats
6th push - A pattern that goes BZZ...BZZ...BZZ...BZZ...BZZ...BZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, then repeats
7th push - The final pattern that goes BZZZZ.....BZZZ...BZZ..BZZ..BZZ..BZZ, then repeats

Pushing the button one more time will put it back to the lowest steady vibration.

HARMONIA'S CONTROL BUTTONS TOP=ON, BOTTOM = CHANGE PATTERN

There is a whole lot of variety in function if more dispersed vibrations cut it for you.

Care and Maintenance

The Harmonia is able to be cleaned in the sink with soap and water since it is waterproof. I would not fully submerge this toy just because of how easily the battery compartment is opened. It is not a threaded cap like many other vibes. It is a twist on cap that locks; kind of like a tongue in groove concept. I just don't feel safe submerging this with a battery cap that only takes a half turn to remove. I clean mine with soap and water. Since this does have a motor it can not be boiled or put in a dishwasher to be sterilized, but it could be soaked in a 10% bleach solution. I will not be doing this, because I am not sure if water would leak into the battery compartment if submerged, for an extended period of time.

HARMONIA'S BATTERY COMPARTMENT - LOCK CONCEPT

The Harmonia takes two AAA batteries that are simple enough to put in. The battery compartment is as easy to put on as it is to take off; you just have to line up the grooves on the inside of the compartment and twist half a turn. Since this is made of silicone, no silicone lubes, a water based will do fine. A sample of glissando, close2you's water based lubricant that was designed for this close2you line, was included. The lube does perform pretty well and multiple uses come in the sample.

I store mine in the pouch it came in, but the pouch does leave purple lint on the vibe so I wipe it off with a toy wipe before using. It is probably covered with lint from the pouch because it is hands down the WORST lint and hair magnet that I own and I have seven other silicone and TPR toys. So in a pinch when you are about to leave your house and need a lint roller and don't have one I'm pretty sure the Harmonia would actually work as one.

GIANT HAIR MAGNET - I HAD JUST WIPED THIS DOWN AND ONLY CARRIED IT OVER TO THIS CHAIR

I tagged this toy as high maintenance because of constantly having to pick hair or fuzz off of it or wipe lint off of it. You can not set it anywhere without something getting stuck to it.
    • Easy to clean
    • Easy to store
    • High maintenance

Packaging

The packaging was the best I have ever seen, I will give the Harmonia that. It came in a sturdy cardboard box with two shelves that is made very well. The only drawback is that it says close2you on it fairly large with a giant picture of a man holding the Harmonia and about to tap a woman playfully on the nose with it. Not the most discreet but made well. The top drawer holds the Harmonia and has a cut out where the Harmonia goes. I did not need this box, so I recycled mine but it would be nice for storage and then the pouch could be used for another toy if Harmonia is kept in the box.

The bottom drawer contains a bunch or goodies. It comes with two AAA batteries which is always nice. It also comes with a purple silicone cock ring, the aforementioned lube sample and a toy cleaning wipe. The very pretty deep purple velvet pouch is in the bottom drawer too. It also contain the Close2you pamphlet that is in many languages and has some info about their whole music themed line in it.
Harmonia is so nicely packaged that it would make quite a nice gift.
    • Good for storage
    • Recyclable
    • Would make a nice gift

Experience

I do not dislike the Harmonia. It does make for a great g-spot dildo. The vibrations do feel very nice and are a turn on, they are just not localized enough for me to ever really use this as a clit vibe in solo play. It is awesome as a g-spot dildo and I will be using it as one. I like the vibration for teasing in partner play too. This would have been PERFECT if the vibrations had provided pinpoint stimulation and the whole damn thing didn't vibrate. I would have probably been better off getting a g-spot dildo with no bells and whistles for cheaper since I do mainly use this as a dildo.
Follow-up commentary
I just do not like this as a vibrator at all. The vibrations are not strong enough or localized enough for my tastes. The g spot bulb is ok. I have used this as a dildo on occasion but most of the time my harmonia just sits there collecting dust. I have tried to like this but I just don't. Mediocrity just isn't something I look for in a toy.

I'm kind of surprised you ranked this 4 stars... even if it DOES make a nice g-spot vibe.
Did you have experience with the batteries lasting a good length of time or did they seem to run down quickly?
