This toy was definitely designed
When I happened across this little vibe on Eden, I was immediately intrigued. Not just because it is 100% silicone but, I admit it, I am a dolphin lover! I could just imagine all kinds of uses for that cute little bottle nose! I am also a huge fan of Fun Factory products so, I just had to get this vibe!
The packaging for this product only displayed the
little dolly g-spot vibrator itself rather than scantily clad models like a lot of other toys I've purchased. It also explained, in four different languages, some detailed information about this vibe such as that it is made in Germany. I noticed while reading this information that Fun Factory asks that you ensure used batteries are not disposed of in the domestic waste as well as asking you to recycle the packaging itself. It also states that the blister pack for the packaging consists of pollution-free PET material. WOW! How often do you find environmental consciousness on a dildo package?! OK so, I was impressed already!
When I slid the blister pack containing the little dolly vibe out of the box, a sample of
toy fluid which is also manufactured by fun factory fell out. SWEET! SAMPLES! The blister pack was not hard to open at all which gave me easy access to little dolly herself. It felt smooth as with most silicone toys so I gave it the "sniff" test to see if it could possibly be anything other than pure silicone and... no smell! YAY! I also noticed it has some flexibility to it but, I wouldn't recommend bending it forcefully because I could feel the motor inside of the silicone. The battery compartment is located at the base of the vibe and it is a plastic compartment. The cap easily unscrews and has a little and - molded into the plastic so you know which way to put the batteries in correctly. NOTE: This vibe only takes 2 AAA batteries, not 3 as described in the product description! When I screwed the battery cap back on, I noticed it has kind of a click into place feature to help keep the cap on. The controls are located on the base of the vibe just above the battery cap. There is another and - located here, molded into the silicone, to cycle through the speeds/variations. I did find that you have to hold the button down for a few seconds before it will kick on. The first time I used it, I actually thought it was broken because I was just pushing it. Thanks to hubby for showing me how to properly turn on my new vibrator!
Now for the vibrations. While the product description boasts 10 different speeds on this vibe, I could only really notice 8. They varied from barely turned on to a good, strong, easily felt vibration. One thing I did notice about the vibrations is that if you hold down on the or - button, it speeds through the levels without having to repeatedly push the buttons. If you are turning it off though, make sure to let go of the - button and press it an extra time to make sure it shuts off!
There are also 3 variations with this vibe. I found this a nice touch! You get to the variations by cycling through to the highest speed, letting go of the button and then pushing it again. You push it another time to go to the next variation and so on. It will just keep cycling through the three of them until you push the - button that will take you back to the steady vibrations. It probably sounds a little complicated but, it is actually quite simple once you've gotten the hang of it and I have had NO problems with the speed/variation changing on me during use! I always hate it when that happens!
Just another note on the pure silicone material, while this vibe is waterproof (we used it in the shower and had NO problems with water!) I would definitely not advise you to boil it to sterilize it. I also would not advise throwing it in the dishwasher. If you need to sterilize this one, I would advise using a 10% bleach solution only! Otherwise, just use your favorite toy cleaner or wash it off with antibacterial soap and water. Also, only use water based lubes with silicone or you could possibly damage it! Do not store silicone toys with other silicone toys because this could damage it as well. I would suggest storing it alone, not touching other toys and covered with a cloth such as a washcloth or throw it in a clean sock.
It's not so loud at all really! I really don't think it would be heard through a closed door at all so, it shouldn't wake up any children! Thanks for the comment!
How loud is this vibe? Does it wake children up? Great review!
Sounds like I might be picking up a Corsar in the near future! =)
I have the Corsar, which is pretty much the same as Little Dolly. You're right, the controls are easy to use once you understand them. I just read the instructions and picked it up quickly.
Thanks Betty Rocket! The only thing advertised on this box is the toy itself. Kind of a nice change of pace I think! I actually got the blue little dolly but, it was out of stock when I did my review so, I had to use the pink. =)
I also appreciate toys that come packaged without a porn model on them! Great review!
Thanks DD! The more Fun Factory products I try, the more I like them! They seem very innovative even on the smallest of their toys. =)
Very cute little vibe, and love that it's silicone! A little pricey, but Fun Factory's usually worth it! Great review, as always!
Ok, maybe it wasn't a copy and paste issue after all......there are supposed to be plus symbols as well as the minus symbols.......
Just so everyone knows, there is supposed to be 's and - 's in my review text but, as usual...I've messed up my copy/paste again....... I really need to go with another program for this...... Sorry about that!
