When I first got wind of the fact that a USB-powered vibrator actually existed, and was no longer a figment of my fantasies, I couldn't wait to buy one. With a corner-style computer desk complete with a fully integrated, always-on USB hub sitting next to our bed, charging such a vibrator would be very convenient. I was very excited at the prospect of not having to go hunt down batteries at inconvenient and inopportune times!
I decided to order the Mia in purple, which to me seems more of a fuschia than an actual purple. But in any case, I preferred its darker shade to the pastel-pink that Mia is also available in, so that's what I went with.
Right out of the box, Mia was ready to be charged. She features a handy blue LED indicator to let you know that she's on. A flashing LED indicates that she is charging; a static LED indicates that she is fully charged. Her slick, hard plastic design makes her easy to wipe clean and sanitize, and the end with the USB connector is protected with a cap.
Using Mia is as easy as holding down the button to turn her on, and then using the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the strength & speed of the vibrations. Since Mia may have been designed with traveling women in mind, she can be locked in the OFF position by holding down the + and - buttons for five seconds (hold the buttons down again to turn her back on). The locking mechanism works perfectly, as I do keep Mia in my purse for those "just in case" situations!

Experience
Unfortunately, Mia did not live up to my anticipation, at least in terms of the strength of the vibrations. She charges quickly and holds a charge, and works just as intended, but the power of the vibrations leave a bit to be desired. The vibrations are a little on the "whiny" side, without a lot of the thrumming and pulsing sensations that other vibrators have to offer. She's fun as a general stimulating toy and sex enhancer, but falls short of being able to give me an orgasm, at least without the aid of other toys or my husband. On the bright side, her small size makes her incredibly easy for my husband to wield in conjunction with his tongue, which provides amazing sensations for my clit!

Mias USB cover cap

I've done a little reading up on the Mia and found that many people were having problems with the cap falling off during use. Since Mia is not waterproof, I wanted to know if this was a defect or is this is something that happens to the Mias over time. I am looking to get one for my girlfriend, but wanted to know more about this problem before I purchase it. Also, I read that LELO has made improvements to Mias motor. Is that the only improvement that was made? Or does anyone have the same problem with the cap falling off on the new Mia?

Any USB vibrators that you can use WHILE they are charging?

So I see there's no way you could use this one while it's charging, and apparently the same goes for the Fairy Baby. Does anyone know of one you can use while it's charging via USB?

I think the We-Vibe Tango might be usable since it looks like it's got a really long extension cord. But I don't own one.

I'd be worried about the risk of electrocution. Also, the power draw of simultaneous use and charging might fry your USB port.

I just think the charging is SO cool! Could you elaborate on that a bit more? Like does the comp need to be on or just plugged in? Does it take a long time to charge? How long is the charge?
