Oh. My. Bod!

The Body is an excellent addition to my collection! I love everything about it. It has very strong vibrations throughout the whole toy, yet is very quiet behind closed doors. The body design is something that just adds extra pleasure to the whole experience. It's easy to use and easy to clean. I recommend this to anyone from beginners to experienced users. It is a traditional vibrator with an awesome feel.

Use

Before I get to the full review, let me just say this; The Body is now one of my top favorites. Hands down! It is a traditional vibrator and is used for vaginal insertion. It isn't curved for the g-spot and since there is no flared base, I do not recommend this for anal play. The tip of the toy if turned upside down, the top looks like a tongue. This actually feels amazing on the clit. The "body" of the toy looks like an actual body [well, at least a nice body that works out.] Complete with pecs and six pack abs. Yummy! Because of the material, there is a bit of drag, so water based lube is recommended. As for the actual use of the toy... Oh man! It's easy to turn on, just a turn of the dial-base. It is multispeed, but personally the strongest vibration was a bit too much for me. Bottom line; this toy is definitely a keeper.

Material / Texture

The material is plastic/silicone and has a bit of a drag to it, but feels smooth and velvety. The product came with a small package of water based lube called AquaGlide. It is also much like a lint roller. It will pick up anything and everything; hair, dust, crumbs, anything. So be sure you give it a good wash. Coming out of the package, it had no smell, but it did have a bit of static. There was also no sort of taste. It is non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, food-grade material, latex free and waterproof. Giving you a safe and pleasurable experience whether it's laying in bed or playing in the tub or shower. The toy is somewhat flexible, but it cannot be bent enough to stimulate the clit. I find that the most bendable part is between the base and the bottom abs and it's more bendy when moved side to side, not forward or backwards. Because of the design on it, designed like pecs and six pack abs, it is a bit bumpy, but that just adds for extra satisfaction.
    • No odor
    • Not porous at all

Design / Shape / Size

The design of it, as mentioned before, is designed to look similar to a very blessed man's body. It comes with pecs and six pack abs. When first examining, I didn't think I would be able to feel the design as much, but once I actually put it to use, I found that there is a bit of feel to the design. It isn't a very noticeable feel, but it does add some texture when inserted. The shape of it is just like a standard, smooth vibrator. The toy itself is 8" in length, with a 6 3/4" insertable length. It has a 5 1/2" circumference with a 1 1/2" diameter. It is also a weight of 11 oz. In my opinion, at first I thought it would be a bit too big for me because it does feel a bit heavy and it does look like it has nice girth. But for a "small" sized lady and the help of lube, it was inserted with no problem or discomfort. The toy also came with a silver drawstring bag which makes it much more helpful to easily hide it in a drawer. Because of the size and the obvious design, it isn't very discreet. If you were to have it out in the open, your visitors would be able to tell what it was.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The Body is multispeed and dial-based. It takes two AA batteries which slide in easily from the plastic base. The dial does not click to tell you which levels your vibrations are on, but when turning the dial, it turns on, then low vibration. Turn the dial a bit more and it's a medium vibration. Turn the dial all the way until you cannot turn it anymore and it's the strongest vibration. For being as strong as it is, holding the toy next to me, I was unable to actually hear the vibration until it got to about the medium to strongest vibrations. While having the toy even out in the open in the bedroom with the door closed on the strongest vibration, it still cannot be heard through a closed door. Which makes it just that much more awesome! The vibrations are felt throughout the whole vibrator. As also mentioned before, the strongest was a bit too much for me, but the lower and medium vibrations feel excellent for me personally. Being dial based, it is very easy to use. It is waterproof and I have used it in a shower. But because of the material, I still recommend using the water based lube.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is silicone with a plastic base. Because of the silicone, it is a soft and velvety but draggy material, water based lube is recommended for your pleasure and the safety of the toy. The Body also came with a small package of waterbased lube called AquaGlide which worked wonderfully for me. Washing is simple, because it is non-porous, phthalates free, hypo-allergenic, food-grade material, latex free and waterproof. This product is dishwasher safe and boilable. The product came with a silver bag/pouch with a drawstring, so it's nice for storage in a drawer.

[Editor's Note: Eden and the reviewer were under the impression that these products were dishwasher safe and boilable. It has come to light through the manufacturer’s correction that they are not.]

Packaging

The Body came packaged in a silver, reflective box. The center was clear plastic, so you could see the toy inside. It is made by JoyDivision and was all in German writing, with English as the second language. It came with a small package of AquaGlide, which is water based lube and also included a small pamphlet with other JoyDivision products. It did not come with instructions but did come with a little picture of how to turn the dial base on and off. The package cannot be used as a storage box because it is flimsy cardboard but the reflective silver is a nice touch.

Experience

I've had The Body for a little while now. As I've stated it is now absolutely one of my favorites. The velvety feel isn't something I'm completely used to, but with the water based lube it is an absolute treat. The title basically says it all! When first receiving this product, I was skeptical because I've never really enjoyed a basic vibrator. When playing with the vibrations, I began to love it because it was so strong, yet very, very quiet. I recommend this to anyone. Whether it be beginners, or advanced toy lovers. The body like design also had me wondering if it would actually feel good when inserted and believe me, it surely did. This is a strong, well put together product and I am very glad I got the opportunity to try it out!
Follow-up commentary
I don't use The Body as much as when I first got it, but I still have it and I do still like it. Nothing has changed. It is also very good on battery power. When this toy is kept inside the silver bag that I use which came with the product, it doesn't attract any lint or dust or anything like that. I have used it since the review in water and it still works fine for that as well.

These babies are so damn nice! I do my reviews in the livingroom when I am visiting Arch and even with all three kids and Arch in the room with Sigel on Skype, no one could hear the two I reviewed (Velvet and Fire) on full blast! Amazing for dorm rooms I'd guess (never had the joy of living in one).
This one has a great design, great job on the review!
OH one point I would make is according to JoyDivision this isn't dishwasher safe or boilable because of the motor, it is water resistent and I've not had any problems with mine and getting water inside. You can carefully pour boiling water over the toy but the manufacturer recommends that you use a good antibacterial soap and warm water.

Oh really? Hmm. I swear I saw it said both dishwasher safe and boilable. But thank you for pointing that out! And thanks for the comment, I'm glad you enjoyed both my review and toys from JoyDivision It's amazing how quiet yet powerful they are. Love it!

    Great review!
I have verified that JoyDivision vibrators are not boilable/dishwasher safe, but they are splash-proof (water resistant). The properties on the product page have been corrected to reflect this.

Thank you for that information, I'll be sure to mention that in my next JoyDivision products.

I still have not been able to try anything from JoyDivision, but certainly want to! This one looks so very nice.
