Traditional vibrator discontinued
by Icon Brands

Oh, Sweet Honey.

Impressions is a cute little line of toys that features a unique silicone gel that likes to mold and flex to the touch. The Honey Pot features a textured head and a wonderful greenish blue color. It is waterproof, and it has five settings. Be aware that of all of these settings, only one is a steady vibration. The vibrations are okay, but it just isn't impressive.

Use

The Honey Pot is a wonderful traditional vibrator with a large, textured head. The head is wonderful at stimulating the G-spot, but unfortunately it won't hit those deep or hard to find G-spots. The slightly flared handle acts as a flared base of sorts, so I don't see an issue with using this toy anally. The honey pot head feels amazing when being inserted and removed from the anus. The silicone gel is unique and kind of weird at first. It is flexible to a point as it is covering a plastic shaft, so there is a lot to take in when it comes to sensations. The shaft is thin so beginners feel free to get one and try it out! The overall design is cute and non-threatening. The honey pot design is great at stimulating the clit with or without the vibrations. This is best left to those who are still exploring their bodies and don't know what they like yet or for those that like a smaller toy. This is not going to please Size or Power Queens/Kings. Since the vibrations are moderate and the noise can be drowned out with a running shower (it is waterproof) or T.V, I think those with roommates should have no problems using this toy.

Material / Texture

The entire toy is made out of two materials: plastic and a silicone gel. The silicone gel covers the entire shaft. It has all of the same positive properties as silicone, but it is in a different form. It is, of course, hypo-allergenic and non-porous as well as latex and phthalates free. The tip, which is all silicone gel, is extremely flexible and pliable. The shaft is plastic covered in this gel, so it is very rigid. Upon closer examination, you will see and feel that the gel acts like a skin of sorts. It molds to the touch, and the imprint of your touch is left in the mold for a few seconds or so until it returns to normal. The only way I can describe it is to compare it to one of those hair brushes that have the squishy handles. Just like silicone, this silicone gel can only be used with water based lubricants. The gel has a good amount of drag to it, so lube is definitely needed. The toy had a new smell to it, but that quickly dissapated. It also likes to act like a lint roller, so store it in a plastic bag to keep the fuzzies away. The entire toy has a slight seam running along the sides, but I can hardly feel it with my fingers much less during use. This toy is called honey pot for a reason. I bet you can guess why, but I will discuss this feature later.
The handle is made out of ABS Plastic. This material is extremely rigid. The plastic has a glossy finish to it, which makes slippery digits hard to grasp onto. Plastic is also non-porous, hypo-allergenic, and latex/phthalates free. The control button is covered in a rubber-like material, or it could be more silicone gel, to help keep the toy waterproof.

Design / Shape / Size

The Honey Pot gets its name from the honey dipper ridges on the head. The head is oval in shape, and it is quite bulbous. It is larger than the shaft, and the round-ish shape gives a nice pop sensation when being thrusted or removed. The honey pot ridges are pretty raised and can be felt during use. However, the soft silicone makes them feel less intense than what I was expecting them to be.
The slender, straight shaft is completely smooth. It is also super rigid. It kind of works as a G-spot vibrator when you tilt it upward, but this takes a lot of effort from the user. When using it this way, my arms got very tired very fast. The silicone gel feels cool, and it is super fun to play with. However, it takes quite a bit of pressure to get the silicone to mold to your touch. This means that my vagina, unfortunately, did not leave any impressions in the silicone gel. The size is suitable for pretty much anyone. This would have been an amazing vibrator if the shaft or even the tip had been curved. While this isn't large or bulky, I don't think I would take this during my travels.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Honey runs on two AAA batteries, and it can also run on rechargeables as well. As with all of my toys, I usually constantly run them on high so battery life isn't anything impressive. I am sure that if you use some of the other settings that your battery life will be a little better than mine. There is a single push button in terms of controls. Press it once to turn it on, and continually press to experience the different pulsation patterns. There are a total of five settings, and they go a little somthing like this:
1.)5 long pulses, 5 seconnds of past pulses, 5 seconds of rapid pulses
2.)5 long pulses followed by brief pause, one very long steady pulse, 10 fast pulses followed by a brief pause, one very long steady pulse
3.)Fast pulses
4.)Steady vibration
5.)7 seconds of a long steady vibes, 7 seconds of fast pulses
It sucks that there is only one steady vibration setting as that is what tends to get me off, but at least it is at the highest level of intensity. In case of an emergency, press and hold the button for about 3 seconds and it will shut off. It does not remember the pattern you were previously on, so you will have to find it again. The tip is where most of the vibrations are located, but they do travel well into the shaft. Unfortunately, they also travel into the handle which could lead to irritated fingers afterwards. The vibrations are buzzy and high pitched. Mine wasn't that loud. I couldn't hear it through a closed door or over a shower running. This toy can definitely be taken into the shower. Mine is missing an O ring, but it still works just fine in the water. I wouldn't submerge it, but it should be okay during cleaning and shower play. In fact, it works perfectly in wet enviroments!

I liked this toy as a traditional vibrator. I was kind of hoping that the honey pot head would give me a G-spot orgasm, but it didn't. It was a long shot, but at least I still got a good vibrator out of it. Don't get me wrong. It still rubbed my G-spot nicely, but the lack of curve delivered zero pressure to it. I don't think it is worth the $43 price tag, but I say get it when it is on sale. This is just an adorable vibrator for anyone. Beginners will love the slight texture, slim design, and pretty color. I wasn't wowed by the mediocre vibrations, but I then again I wasn't planning on using this as a clitoral vibrator either. It feels nice once inside, and it makes a wonderful warm up toy to something larger, more curved, or more intense in the texture department.

Care and Maintenance

I would not feel comfortable boiling this toy or sticking it in the dishwasher as part of the toy is made of plastic and such methods can melt and ruin the toy. I would, however, feel comfortable wiping this toy down with a 10% bleach solution. That is the only method of sanitzing the toy. It can be cleaned everyday with warm water and antibacterial soap, toy cleaners, or toy wipes. I don't know how the silicone gel would react to rubbing alcohol, so I wouldn't chance it.
Silicone can only be used with water based lubricants, so I hope you have a good one on hand. The honey dipper texture on the head collects some fluids, so be sure to pay this area a little extra attention. The silicone collects a lot of hair. For this reason, I suggest storing it in a lint free bag (Ziploc bag) and washing the toy before using it. If sharing with a partner, put a condom over the shaft. I would not insert this vaginally after anal play until it is properly cleaned first.

Packaging

The Honey Pot comes in a plastic box, and it has a window on the front so anyone can view the toy. Whatever parts aren't clear is a turquoise color that matches the color of the toy. The front and back has some additional information about the toy including a list of other toys in this line. The toy is held in place via a plastic tray. The plastic is flimsy, so it won't last long. I suggest either using the original packaging for storage or placing it in a lint free bag. I do have to give the company credit as there aren't any nude people or crude words on the packaging. It is plain yet classy.
