Serenade - traditional vibrator discontinued by Evolved Novelties - review by supernaturalgirl

I looked at all kinds of different vibes on this site and read all sorts of reviews. Overall this one seemed to be ahead of the pack and it's discounted price was definitely a big plus. However there are some not so great qualities.

First off, the packaging was amazing and from what I've read, this is true of all Evolved products. So I would definitely get another one as I like that there's easy and eye catching storage included. Secondly, it is relatively quiet (especially once inserted although the sound increased quite obviously with each speed increase) which is nice when you don't live alone. I also liked how it was graduated in it's size.

But that for me is the first issue; the size. This toy is just too big for me. I should have purchased a smaller one. The first few inches is fine but the last half is just too much. It actually began to hurt trying to insert it. So that was not something I was particularly expecting and was a disappointment, as hurt does not go well with pleasure; at least for me. It is also a pretty big toy, meaning it won't be the most discreet just thrown in a drawer or something. But as stated before, the tin it came in was very nice and so storage wouldn't be a problem.

Another not so great quality was as stated in some of the reviews, the smell. It is a quite strong, not so great smell and actually permeates to your hands. I don't know if washing it multiple times would help or what. I use baby wipes to clean my toys and so far, the smell hasn't gone away. Then again, I haven't used it much either. So maybe with more use, it'd get better? I don't know.

The biggest problem I had with this vibe was the batteries and the battery compartment. I honestly thought I was going to break it just by attempting to get the batteries in and out. Thankfully I didn't. I don't know if this is just a defect in the one I have or if it is a universal problem. I have read the same thing about some other Evolved products, so maybe it's just the manufacturer. Either way, it was frustrating and tiresome.

Overall, though I would recommend this vibrator but only to people who like the bigger toys. I myself found it too big and therefore, wasn't able to use the toy to it's full potential. But I think it would be good to "prepare" yourself for either a large toy or a larger penis. I got it in pink which happens to be my favorite color and probably was a lure for me to purchase it. It is a pretty toy and works well. I hope others have a better experience though and it works better for them :)
