Realistic vibrator discontinued

Passion Mate might break my date.

4 out of 5 for this brightly colored waterproof jelly vibe. Personal sensitivities to the material aside, it is designed well and performs its functions without problems. Great if you're looking for an affordable G-spot vibe to play with in the water, just be aware Jelly isn't the most body friendly material out there.

Use

Passion Mate waterproof vibrator by Nasstoys is a great shape and a fun waterproof toy for an affordable price. It doesn't take heavy batteries, just your standard AA and the shape stimulates the G-spot well. There is a handy string loop attached to it so you don't drop it if using in a shower situation. Also usable in a hot tub, swimming pool, or other water situation due to the waterproofing ring.

The vibrations don't quite make it all the way down the shaft, leaving the G-spot stimulation a bit weaker than it could be. The head of the shaft has a nice curved shape and ride on it though which make up for the less than most powerful vibrations. Depending on the kind of stimulation you prefer this may or may not be perfect. I do like the string loop which makes it easier to hold on to in the water. Solo or partnered, this would be a very fun toy to take to the water since it held up well when I tested it. Just make sure it is screwed tightly shut.

The base of this toy has a ridge and a bump but is not pronounced enough to consider this safe for anal use. There is no flared base so it could get lost and I would not recommend it for that purpose. This is much more of a vaginal/external stimulation toy. It was not super loud but not very discreetly quiet either. Submerged in water or in a shower it was fine but you could hear a faint buzz from behind a closed door in a setting with thinner walls.

Material / Texture

The biggest downside with the toy is the material. It is made from Jelly, which is porous and not the most body friendly material out there. I recommend using a condom if you are going to share this toy or have any sensitivity to be concerned about. You can however use any lube you want, even silicone, which is nice. So many toys are silicone and are not compatible with silicone lubricant.

The texture a good midway point, it was soft enough to have a bit of flexibility, especially near the head where it mattered most. The shaft itself was nice and rigid. The jelly was smooth and not overly sticky but it did have a plastic rubbery smell that was unpleasant. I think the smell will dissipate with time if you give it a chance to air out. It had a rubbery/chemical taste even after I washed it with soap and water.

Design / Shape / Size

I was not a huge fan of this design. The shape of the shaft was nicely textured. The main thing I did not like was that it started out significantly less girthy at the head and gradually thickened near the bottom of the shaft. I would have preferred an even girth throughout the entire length. The flexibility at the head did improve function as a G-spot vibe and the curve met with my anatomy decently.

The waterproof feature was the best aspect; I don't have many waterproof toys so it's nice to get a change of scene now and then.

It is not at all discreet as it is phallic in shape and clearly a vibrator. The size was not overwhelming at first and would be suitable for a beginner figuring out what they like. It was a bit difficult to care for though so that aspect may want to be considered if you aren't an experienced toy user.

Functions / Performance / Controls

The controls of this toy are located in a dial on the bottom and a power switch. Twist it to turn on a higher setting. It is waterproof as previously stated which is the best feature is. The string wrist loop so you don't drop it is also handy, especially if things get slippery in the water.

The vibrations don't travel down the entire shaft and are weaker at the head. if you want a lot of head vibration you might find it too intense on the lower portion of the shaft where they are concentrated. It pulsates and vibrates as well as having different speed settings.

It performed decently in the water but the vibrations were further muted when submerged. I found it a bit on the weak side even at the highest setting but I prefer stronger vibrations in general. The controls are not difficult to use.

Care and Maintenance

This toy is made from jelly, which is a very porous material. It is compatible with all lubes, even silicone, but it needs to be stored and cleaned thoroughly. If you are sharing this toy I recommend using a condom over it due to the porosity. It is a bit sticky and will trap lint, I store it in a Ziploc plastic bag in my toy box to try to keep lint away, it is best kept in a cool dry place. A drawer, box, tub, bin, or where ever you keep most of your toys should suffice.

Rinsing it off is the best way to handle lint. You absolutely need a mild soap and water wash with jelly, a toy cleaner alone is not going to cut it. Don't use too harsh of a soap though. You can't boil it to sterilize like silicone. Some people are sensitive to the material to the point of where they can't use it. If you aren't sure use a condom over it. Passion Mate takes AA batteries and was average as far as wearing them out goes, not a battery guzzler but not anything super long lasting either. I used standard alkaline batteries.

Packaging

This came packaged in a clear plastic molded package with the toy clearly visible and a paper insert describing the toy. On the paper it included information about the type of batteries needed, the material, and the features. The package is not good to store it in and you could gift it in a bag with some tissue paper but I'd recommend a second box if you're just wrapping it since it is oddly shaped. It is not discreet at all since you can see the toy through the clear plastic and it states plainly it is a vibrator.

Personal comments

This toy was alright for the price and if you are new to G-spot stimulation or are looking for a budget friendly toy to enjoy in the water I would recommend it. My main issues are the material; I am sensitive to jelly so I probably won't get too much use out if it. I'm still giving it a good rating because my own sensitivities to the material wouldn't impact how another person would enjoy using it and it functions well. It is a basic design but gets the job done for what it is.
Follow-up commentary
This was fun for a while but I have better G-spot vibes that I prefer to use that are also rechargeable. I might still break this one out for some water fun but I don't see myself using it too often. The vibrations don't go all the way down the shaft and it isn't as strong where I'd like it to be.
