Perfect for Any Outfit
They're cheap. They fit well and look amazing, but don't stay up on their own and don't have anything for attaching garter belts.

I used to have a pair of thigh-highs I bought somewhere for $5, with a lace trim at the top. After losing one of the stockings, I decided to buy the opaque thigh-highs as replacement...only to find the missing stocking a day before these arrived.
Being used to my old stockings, these ones felt a little weird. My other pair is made from a material that I can't remember, but these are nylon with spandex. The different feel isn't bad; rather, it feels nice. They look amazing with a matching lingerie set to go with them.
The stockings stretch well around the thighs, which is good since mine are not skinny by any means. They can stretch to be anywhere from only a few inches above your knees to almost at your hips, however the higher you pull them, the easier it is to see through them, and I personally think somewhere in the middle looks best.
Also, despite the band at the top, the stockings don't stay up on their own very well. They like to roll down a lot, and that just isn't as sexy. If you don't want to have to keep pulling them back up, then use a garter belt. The only issue there is the top band does not have anything for attaching garter belt straps. While you can simply put the straps on through the fabric, mine seemed to enjoy coming off. This could easily be fixed by poking little holes for the straps, but I'm afraid of the hole getting bigger and bigger. If you're a seamstress, it may be possible to add holes and hem them to keep them from growing, but it doesn't seem worth all that to me.
A small added bonus to these is if it's a little chilly out, you can throw these on under your pants. I've found them to be great at insulating.

Also, when you are starting out wearing stockings and garter belts, it is helpful to attach the stocking to the belt before you put them on. Then, you can put them on similarly to a pair of panty hose and you aren't messing with a ridiculous clasp behind your leg.
Don't poke a hole in the top of the stocking, it will run. You can only do this with some lace top stockings. (Lace is a bitch to attach to garter belts.)
Try a good quality garter belt (I actually replaced the plastic clasps with metal on a garter belt I liked but had cheap clasps.)
