Pretty and powerful

I would recommend the Mia unless you require intense vibrations to achieve orgasm. The product is powerful for it's size, but could never compare to the Hitachi in power (then again, what could?).

Use

I love using this vibrator with a water-based lube. The material is smooth but hard, which means it can make a racket against my clitoral hood piercing. The speed settings are fantastic and I love the fact that it can be plugged into my laptop for quick and easy charging. It holds a charge for a LONG time, considering how often I use it. My partner and I have tried using it as an external clitoral vibrator during intercourse, but it's a bit too awkward and hard for it to sit between us nicely. Can be put on "lock" mode for easy travel. Beautiful and discrete vibrator that packs a punch. Baby brother came over to visit and found it. Thought it was lipstick - thank gosh.

Material / Texture

The short shaft of this vibrator is smooth, shiny, hard plastic. I accidentally spilled nail-polish remover on it and now the sheen is gone and it looks horrible. Can't wait to invest in a new one. The hard material is loud when pressed against my clitoral hood piercing.

Design / Shape / Size

The shape and size are perfect. Small and discrete. It looks like a lipstick and has dual-ended functionality, although it is clearly meant to be used only one way. It's mechanism for re-charging (USB port) is brilliant and convenient - now-a-days who doesn't have a computer? You don't have to worry about needing an international plug converter in a foreign country because everyone has USB ports! You'll never again have to go without! Absolutely brilliant!

Functions / Performance / Controls

The vibrator is said to be waterproof, as there is a small silicone seal around the opening to the USB port - but I would only trust it against minor bodily fluids. If dropped in a bucket of water, the toy would be fine if scooped out quickly, provided that the integrity of the silicone seal hasn't degraded. There are multiple intensities of constant vibration, and a few different options for pulsation. I prefer the continuous vibration mode, though I have friends that swear by the pulse. I personally have never found the pulses effective for evoking orgasm.

Care and Maintenance

I store it in the pretty little satin bag that it comes in. It also fits my small bottle of Liquid Silk lubricant. I once mistakenly stored it with a bottle of nail-polish remover for travel, and when the remover leaked it ruined the texture and sheen of my Mia. It's still functional, but now looks horrible.

This is still my prized external vibrator. I use it religiously, and the variety of vibrational patterns and intensities keep it interesting. With it's power-packed punch, this teeny and discrete vibe never fails to bring me to orgasm. I still love it, and will probably never stop! (Might buy another though, I hate the marred sheen that the acetone damage caused!)

Is this more of a clit massager than a Penetrative vibrator? What is the size of this much talked about toy? (I don't have one yet.) How do you clean it? Storage? I always want to know what people use for storage, it's so important to store one's toys properly. It's interesting to see what people come up with.

Hi P'Gell, thanks for your review! I keep it in the white satin drawstring bag that lelo provides. It's the perfect size for my small lube and the vibrator. The toy measures 4.2 x 1 x 1 inches, and I use it strictly as an external clit massager due to its small size. It could be used to penetrate, but because the last inch or so of the shaft is a "lid" that pops off to expose the USB plug, I would be learly of insertion any deeper than 2 inches. As the toy is made of hard plastic (aside from the silicone buttons), I clean it by using a toy-spray, and then wiping clear with a damp cloth. The electronics are protected by a rubber "collar" that seals with the lid, so it's moderately liquid-proof. When travelling, I've repurposed Cetaphil (A very gentle facial cleanser) as a toy cleaner!

  • Mias USB cover cap
    • I've done a little reading up on the Mia and found that many people were having problems with the cap falling off during use. Since Mia is not waterproof, I wanted to know if this was a defect or is this is something that happens to the Mias over time. I am looking to get one for my girlfriend, but wanted to know more about this problem before I purchase it. Also, I read that LELO has made improvements to Mias motor. Is that the only improvement that was made? Or does anyone have the same problem with the cap falling off on the new Mia?

  • Any USB vibrators that you can use WHILE they are charging?
    • So I see there's no way you could use this one while it's charging, and apparently the same goes for the Fairy Baby. Does anyone know of one you can use while it's charging via USB?
    • I think the We-Vibe Tango might be usable since it looks like it's got a really long extension cord. But I don't own one.
    • I'd be worried about the risk of electrocution. Also, the power draw of simultaneous use and charging might fry your USB port.
