Luxury G-spot vibrator discontinued

Pretty Clitty Bang Bang

Yeah, Leaf products are a bit pricey, but they are worth it. I would recommend Bloom as a great, versatile, go to toy that will have a use for you. The dual motors add even more variety to an already wonderfully conceived toy.

Use

Bloom! It's one of the products by Leaf. Bloom is marked as a traditional vibrator, but it can be used in a variety of ways. Bloom has two ends, each powered by a motor. The wider end (the bud) can be used for vaginal penetration, pinpoint clitoral stimulation, and foreplay. The other end (the stem) can be used for stimulating erogenous zones and the P-spot (externally).

I've read the product's instructions and other reviews, and the verdict is inconclusive on all the uses for the stem of the toy. Some say it shouldn't be inserted, other's saying it's no problem. My take is that the stem can be inserted vaginally. That end does have the charging port but it is self sealing and Bloom is waterproof. It might be inconvenient because you won't be able to change the controls (since the buttons are on the stem), but I don't see any detriment that can come from this.

The toy can work for a variety of people regardless of gender or orientation. Bloom is relatively discreet given its power and controls. Because it's waterproof, it can be taken in the shower or bath. It is an option for those who want a powerful toy and live with others.

Bloom isn't very intimidating in terms of size, so it can be used for beginners. Bloom is also an option for more advanced users because of its power, make, and design.

While the toy is silicone, it is not recommended for anal play. Technically, you could insert it anally on the stem end and the bud would act like a flared base. However, there are better toys suited for anal play and would be easier to clean. If you must use the stem for anal play, use a condom and clean very, very well.

Material / Texture

Bloom is made of wonderful, body safe silicone. It ranks a 10 out of 10 on the safety scale and is hypoallergenic. The texture of Bloom comes from its shape. The toy itself feels smooth. I am sad at the very noticeable seam that runs along the bloom. It is visible and runs down the middle of the toy, even bisecting the buttons. It is still a beautiful toy, but I wish they changed how the make the mold for this toy. This is very minor compared to all the great things Bloom has to offer, though.

The texture and shape of Bloom is beginner friendly. Because of the toy's price, I wouldn't recommend this as a first or second toy for someone. Before spending a large amount of money on Bloom, it's best for beginners to experiment with other toys to be confident that they'll love Bloom. So while there nothing about the toy itself that is scary to beginners, I think users should just have more experience with toys before thinking of buying Bloom.

Bloom has both flexibility and rigidness. The bendable portion is located between the bud and stem. You can easily bend the bud back, forth, and even around easily enough. It's not so floppy that it doesn't hold its form. If you hold Bloom out by the stem, it won't go limp with gravity. Both ends of Bloom are rigid themselves. The bud might not be firm enough for those who need consistent G-spot stimulation.

There is no overt odor or taste to Bloom.

Design / Shape / Size

Bloom is pretty. There aren't many toys that are the color green around. Blooms is shaped like a stem with a bud on the top. It is whimsical and great for those who love abstract, non-realistic toys. The shape seems to lend itself more for clitoral/external stimulation than vaginal. Bloom is the perfect "compromise" between discreet, egg shaped vibes and wands. Smaller vibes are easy to travel with, but are more likely to make your hands numb. Wand have a handle and won't make your hands numb, but they tend to be really loud and cumbersome.

The stem is a great handle when using the toy for the clitoris. In terms of discretion, it's pretty discreet. If you have one motor going on high, the noise averages about 2-3 Bees. If both motors are on high, then Bloom is closer to 3 Bees. It can be 2 Bees if you put one motor on medium intensity or lower. A blanket and a closed door should take care of most of the sound. If you do live with others, it wouldn't hurt to have background music on either. If anything, you can always take bloom in the bath.

In terms of size, Bloom is slender and small considering what it's made for. It is 6.75 inches long with an insertable length of a little more than 5 inches (form bud end to near buttons). There are a variety of widths on the toy given its design. It is the widest around the bud (4.25 inch circumference) and the thinnest at the neck of the bud. This allows you to tease the entrance of the vagina (which has the most nerve endings on the shallower end anyway) It's a great option for those who like more slender toys. Size queens probably won't care for this one.

Blooms is easy to travel with. You can put in in the canvas pouch it comes with and place it in a bag or purse. It also has a locking feature so the toy won't accidentally turn on.

Functions / Performance / Controls

Bloom has two motors and two buttons. The top button controls the bud's motor, and the bottom button controls the motor on the stem. You can have both motors on at the same time. The controls are easy to use and manage. Bloom comes to you locked. To unlock Bloom, hold buttons for about 4 seconds until the lights on the toy flash. After that, Bloom is ready to play.

Both buttons function the same. Press it to turn it on the lowest setting. The adjust the intensity of the vibration, hold the button. The light under the button will flash and increase in strength. The Vrooms range from 1-4 Vrooms for each motor. To turn the motor off, just press the button again. The motors are both rumbly and travel. The motor in the bud is larger than the one in the stem. There are no special patterns, just standard vibrations in increasing intensities.

Bloom is waterproof. It has a resealable port. When you go to charge it, don't be afraid to put a little force in putting the plug in the toy. Always make sure your toy isn't wet when charging. Charge your Bloom 3 hours before using it for the first time. The instructions say that Bloom doesn't need its battery depleted before each charge and offers about 1.5 hours of use between charges.

Care and Maintenance

Bloom is easy to clean. You can wash it with soap and water, leave it to soak in the sink, or use a wet wipe. Because of electrical components, Blooms shouldn't be objected to high heat. The silicone is smooth, so it is easy to wipe debris off the toy. You shouldn't use silicone based lubes on Bloom. It has a warning on the packaging of the toy that silicone lubes can damage the coating of the toy.

Once dry, Bloom can be stored in the canvas pouch it comes with. Once in the pouch, it is protected and can go in a box/drawer with your general toy storage. Silicone toys should always be sotred with a barrier because the silicone coating can be affected by other toy coatings.

While silicone, Bloom doesn't collect a ridiculous amount of lint. They get a little fuzz but can be easily wipes down.

Packaging

The toy's packaging can be described as "Luxury Hippie."

It's like MiMi's packaging, but green and eco-friendly. Bloom comes in a hard cardboard box wrapped in plastic. Unwrap the plastic and the box opens up with a magnetic flap on the side. Open the side and there's instructions. Remove the instructions and the toy is in a canvas bag. Also in the box is the charger. You can choose to store Bloom in the box or you can get rid of the box and use only the pouch. You can even store another toy or two in the cardboard box.

The instructions are useful and come in different languages. It shows how to lock and unlock the toy as well as how to charge and care for the toy. This is a great gift option (and you're a generous friend if you give this as a gift!). The box is pretty discreet; it's cardboard and doesn't have pictures of naked people.
    • Good for storage
    • Very informative
    • Would make a nice gift

Personal comments

Bloom is so pretty! I think Bloom is the most versatile of the Leaf line. All the smaller clit vibes are designed for external use, leaving only two toys, Bloom and Vitality. Bloom can be used for broad and pinpoint clitoral stimulation, as well as vaginal penetration.

I would put Bloom up on the tier with MiMi. Yes, I do.

Experience

Whenever I get new toys, my partner wants to see them so he can try them out on me. He likes how Bloom looked and started teasing me with it. He liked all the ways he could hold and position the toy and still be able to make me squirm. He liked inserting the bud turning it about. He also had me use Bloom on my clitoris while he used a glass dildo for my G-spot. FANTASTIC.

Overall, we both like Bloom and are happy with our purchase.
Follow-up commentary
I still enjoy my bloom. I do like the handle because it makes it easy to hold, especially if you don't need much pressure when using toys. It's like a cross between a wand and a clitoral vibrator if you use it in this fashion.

My favorite leaf vibrator do far is Life, but none of them have been a disappointment for me yet.
